Draco led me into a cold, dim, room. The walls were stone and lined with an array precious gems and metals like Sapphires, Emeralds, Platinum, Gold, Rubies, etc covering the walls in a beautiful array of colors and enhancing the light in the room.
A large flat stone sat in the middle of a small pond filled with skeletal koi, and it had a small bridge leading to the stone with a pillow in the middle. I walked across the black stone bridge to the pillow, and looked at the pillow sitting in the middle of the little island. It was black silk lined with a white, almost silver, trim that broke into neat tassels at the corners.
"What is this place, and why am I here?" I asked Draco looking down at her.
"Every Oracle has a sort of….intersection….in their head that their familiar sets up. At your preferred altar you can choose to move on to your dream, take a break, work, or focus your energy into something that you need to see. I'm technically your familiar, so I set this all up for you. Sorry it took me this long, but it takes time to make." Draco explained curling up next to the pillow.
"Can gods stop me from coming here? Or pull me from here?" I asked.
Draco shook her head not moving from besides the pillow. I sat on the pillow next to her, and looked out the door.
I saw a figure in the door, "but certain gods can enter here. Especially if you have a shrine for them." the figure said stepping forward.
It was my dad, and he was still wearing his tattered suit as always. His hair looked like black, shiny, wire rather than the typical matte black.
"Hello dad. Is there anything you need?" I asked calmly.
"No, just wanted to see you away from prying eyes. How is the hunt for the artifacts going?" Hades asked stepping on the bridge.
"Good, we're sure we know the next location." I answered.
Hades smiled slightly at the answer "Great! We're gonna need them soon, a lot of the Olympians are still unarmed. Do you need any help?" he asked.
"A guide and luck." I answered.
Hades nodded and started to walk away, "Dad, How is the war going?" I asked stopping him in his tracks.
Hades turned around with a grim expression on his face. "Atlantis is under siege….for a few hours now. I can't send reinforcements cause no one in my legion is available, and any other member in Neptune's Blessed is stuck in the Bermuda Triangle to help the expedition there. Olivia was lucky to make it out when she did, but if the siege lasts longer Atlantis will fall." He said.
My heart dropped. I woke to the storm outside growing louder, and looked to my left to see Penny still passed out. My thoughts raced to several different outcomes, but it finally settled on one. If Atlantis falls, the Underworld will be next.
