CHAPTER C:Beginning of The End

I woke up on an icy ground and gasped, my body was in shock from being dead for a bit. I slowly stood, readjusting to my body, and saw Cerberus gone. Adam was crouching down infront of Mino and put two coins in his hands. Olivia walked over to Penny and readied their sword arm.

"Olivia!" I yelled.

Olivia's head snapped towards me, her eyes widened. Adam stood shocked, bow out of hand. I drew my sword and dagger, and walked towards Olivia. I tripped and quickly adjusted. My blood boiled, I had no more care in my heart for Olivia at this moment. Her body or not, she died the second she grabbed that sword.

"I, Mary Riley, challenge you to a duel to determine fate! We'll fight to the death one on one! Powers allowed! We fight tonight before The Gods, The Morai, and Khaos. Do you accept?" I yelled getting into full swing of using my body again.

"I, Zeno Neptune, accept your challenge," Olivia smiled.

"To The Styx," I said kneeling.

Olivia knelt infront of me. "For Atlantis and its people."

We both knelt and quickly stood, charging eachother. I striked down and Olivia blocked the hit and went to kick me away. I dodged and slid forward, I spun on the ground going to stab Olivia's back with my sword. Olivia dodged, going directly into another hit as I spun while standing up. I went for her skull with my dagger. Olivia ducked under the blade and went on the offensive.

I ducked and dodged under a whirlwind of blades, I parried her sword with just enough time to block her dagger. I dodged away and summoned a legion of undead, something to slow Olivia down.

"You know why I like this sword Mary!" Olivia yelled, "It was made by my father so his children could fight armies!"

A wave of water rushed onto the floor and started covering the skeletons. The water started moving them, and they marched on the undead. Well fuck, there goes that idea. I looked over at Olivia who seemed to be slowing down. That move seemed to weaken her. I ran forward and shadow hopped through the undead and past Olivia, cutting her arm.

"Fuck!" Olivia cursed under her breath in Greek.

"Not do easy raising the dead, huh? Or rather, did you think it'd slow me down too?" I asked, smiling, and sheathing my weapons.

Me and Olivia circled each other, I stretched my arms and watched Olivia charge me once more. I dodged a swing and squeezed my fists, I threw my daggers and Olivia blocked one while the other one placed itself in their leg. Olivia ripped the dagger out and dropped it, smoke coming from her hand. Both rings returned as she swung again and I ducked under to kick Olivia away.

Blood spilled on the ice, and Olivia was crippled slowing her down even more. I drew my sword carefully, watching Olivia's movements. Suddenly a sandstone bolt was shot at me and I blocked it, making a burst of water slam me against the wall. My lungs and eyes burned from the salt, and when the waters receded I was left coughing and gasping for air.

"Why won't you just die?!" Olivia yelled, her footsteps approaching me.

I got up and smiled, "I could ask you the same thing, Zeno."

Olivia stopped, "Blame my father."

"Oh I will. Maybe now is the perfect time for you to die your final death," I shadow hopped next to Olivia, dagger in hand.

I went to stab Olivia and she ducked under, stabbing me in my side. My nerves went on high alert, and I moved away quickly. The water Olivia had called on danced around her feet gracefully, giving her energy to move. I walked towards her and waited for a swing, I dodged and spun on my heel kicking Olivia's xiphos away. Olivia met me dagger for dagger and I headbutted her and kicked her knee. Olivia screamed in pain as I dove for her sword. I shattered the blade against the wall disperseing her water monsters.

"No!" Olivia yelled.

"There goes your precious sword! You're the last remnant of Zeno, and I plan to exterminate every bit of you!" I shouted.

Olivia ran towards me and threw a punch with her free hand. I moved into the punch taking the hit to the stomach. her dagger followed shortly after, I smiled as a rush of blood came to my mouth. I win, I thought, I snapped Olivia's wrist that was holding onto the dagger and watched her back away. I ripped the dagger out and watched the wound heal immediately, the perks of reincarnation I guess. Olivia's wrist fixed itself as water snaked up her body.

"Draw?" I smiled.

"Never!" Olivia yelled.

"Fine," I said, marching towards Olivia.

I punched her hard, dazing her. She swung back and I met her with my foot sending her knee back. Olivia screamed again as I pulled her head back and punching her over and over again.

"That was for Olympus!" I screamed, as blood ran down from Olivia's nose.

I threw her on the ground and stomped on her legs to break them. Both of them let out a satisfying crunch as Olivia sobbed from the pain. I kicked her jaw and she spit out blood in response.

I dragged Olivia by her hair the the wall, "That was for Seth!"

I bashed Olivia's head into the wall over and over again. Olivia was barely clinging onto life as I ripped her head back to look up at me. Blood ran down Olivia's face in a brilliant hue of crimson, I couldn't help but smile.

"Mary…..please….I wasn't myself….just don't kill me, I'll vanish….I'll never appear again….just walk away," Olive sobbed.

I held Olivia's dagger up, "I'm not doing this for anyone but me, you fucking bitch." I shot a sandstone bolt through Olivia's mouth.

Olivia fell limp as I dropped her, I breathed heavily, cold air tearing up my lungs, as I stood up straight. I looked around and saw the legion of dead I had raised were gone, and Adam was keeping Penny safe. I walked to him ready to deal him the same fate I had given Olivia, but I heard another bowstring tense. The deadly symphony was something I grew accustomed to over the years, Luna, she broke through the ice.

"Mary, I heard everything. You got your revenge, Adam is innocent in Seth's murder," Luna said, a calm tone in her voice.

As much as I hated to admit it, Luna was right. I nodded in agreement and knelt down next to Penny who was unharmed. I sat next to where she was laying down and looked over the scene as it had entirely unfolded. Mino, Seth, and Olivia had all laid dead. Two people who I once called friends and my brother all gone in one day. A part of me wanted to ask how it could be worse, but the Morai would answer that all to soon.
