The Prince Proposed to Cinderella

Maya winced as she tried to smile when her friend put lipstick on her lips.

After a fairly short interview process, Maya was finally accepted as a waiter for a birthday party that was being held at this hotel, and luckily she got away with the crazy man she had met in the elevator earlier.

"Why is the lipstick bitter?" Maya asked confused when she tasted the lipstick with the tip of her tongue.

Although not the first time using it, lipstick always bothered her like a burden.

"It's a cheap lipstick so don't expect much. Now let's serve the food fast and don't get fired before work." Said Kiki, one of Maya's acquaintances who often offer her part-time jobs like she is today even so they are not close because Maya has only been busy working all this time in contrast to Kiki who works to fill her spare time and increase her allowance.

"Alright ..." Maya replied lazily, she then followed Kiki's footsteps who entered the room.

Maya's poverty blood boils again when she sees the magnificent and elegant birthday party decorations. Many flower arrangements in every corner and gold color dominate the ballroom of this hotel.

"Amazing... Are we entering a fairy tale?" Maya was fascinated by every beauty of this place that carried her away, but Kiki rebuked her and told Maya to focus on working on giving drinks to each table of the guests.

"Look at the clothes ... So soft is this what is called silk cloth?" Maya said to herself when she accidentally touched the woman wearing the cloud blue dress.

"Maya, stop being blown away and get to work, the manager has been looking at you all along," Kiki whispered back to Maya's annoyance.

Couldn't she for a moment enjoy the beauty that might not be repeated. Maya grumbled to herself that she had to ignore all this beauty.

Yes .. this party is like heaven that Maya has always imagined.

....

Marve sighed heavily when his grandfather introduced him to a beautiful woman in a cloud blue dress that made her skin glow.

Yes, the woman is beautiful and charming but Marve seemed blind because he was completely unaffected by her beauty.

Now his grandfather's birthday party is getting more and more annoying for him. But Marve could not avoid his grandfather because after all, he was the only family who always defended him even though his grandfather always insulted his mother.

"She is Tiffani, one of the best graduates of Harvard University. She is still young but has many achievements and most importantly she comes from 'the Wings group'. She deserves to be part of our family."

The woman smiled when Marve accidentally saw her face because she thought Marve was attracted to her, beautiful but unfortunately did not interest Marve. Especially with the compliments, his grandfather had been whispering about the woman in front of him made Marve even more disgusted.

"Tiffani is not like your mother who is just a poor girl, she will cover the gap in our family which was tarnished due to your father marrying your mother," Darwis said in a whisper.

That damn sentence again ... If only Darwis wasn't his grandfather then Marve wouldn't hesitate to throw water right on his face at this time.

What's wrong with my mom?

"Marry her and I will give all my shares to you."

Marve saw her uncle and aunt's eyes, which were perfectly rounded because they couldn't believe what Darwis had to give him.

They have no sons so they can't expect much but if Darwis gives up all his shares without dividing it to them it would be too much because currently Marve already holds 30% of the Cakra Group while they only have 10% shares.

"Daddy, our daughter Herlyn is also entitled to share." Henna's protest is none other than her son-in-law.

"Don't be greedy, Herlyn is only a woman who will have a husband. Therefore you must marry Herlyn to a rich man who benefits you." Said Darwis, he was never opposed. For Darwis a daughter is not very useful because in the future she will become a wife who will be controlled by her husband, which means having no power.

Every wish is an order that must be obeyed whatever it is. Only Marcell dared to oppose him for marrying a poor woman. But now Marcell is gone so no one will dare against him.

Marve just smiled lazily, seeing the anger of her uncle and aunty, Marve could see their resentment grew for him. Tiffani also looks like a shameless woman who still sits quietly amidst other people's family quarrels like this.

"What if your wedding is held this week?" Darwis asked, Marve just smiled without answering.

Marve's smile for Darwis is an agreement, Marve is indeed similar to him and fortunately, he did not lose the slightest bit of his mother.

But Marve smiled not because he agreed to the wedding plans that had been arranged by his grandfather but because he saw the behavior of the girl he had met in the elevator earlier.

The woman became a waitress at his grandfather's birthday, what a funny fate.

The girl was busy looking at the party decorations instead of giving the guests drinks.

"I'm glad ... You are indeed my best grandson." Said Darwis, patting Marve on the shoulder.

A moment later Marve found the girl he had noticed earlier arranging the glasses of the table next to him, Marve increasingly ignored his grandfather.

"Thank goodness that you are not like your despicable mother."

His patience has disappeared in Marve's heart, the old man next to him never stops insulting his mother even at times like this.

His uncle and aunty were seen holding back laughter at his grandfather's words. Herlyn, who had just joined, looked displeased with what her grandfather had said about Marve's mother because according to her there is nothing wrong with Marve's mother even she cares more for her than her mother.

Meanwhile, Tiffani seemed deaf she still smiled like an idiot.

"Grandpa what are you talking about, auntie Anna is very kind. She's not what you are talking about." Herlyn raised her voice, Marve was not surprised if Herlyn defended her because she knew how Herlyn loved her mother. Herlyn is the only family who cares about her mother.

"You are so presumptuous. How dare you criticize me?" Darwis pointed at Herlyn's face because he felt unacceptable.

"But Grandpa ..."

Herlyn didn't have the chance to dodge it when Marve stopped her and she became annoyed because of how Marve could stand the old man next to him who always insulted his mother.

"Grandpa, I have a special gift for you ..." Marve smiled and got up.

Darwis smiled because it seemed his grandson had sided with him, yes money can do everything.

Marve started to walk but as he passed Herlyn's side he gently stroked his cousin's shoulder to calm Herlyn's irritation.

Darwis' eyes did not leave the slightest sight of where his grandson had walked, neither did his uncle and aunt.

But then his smile faded as soon as he saw Marve kneel before a servant.

"Marry me..."

Maya's eyes were perfectly rounded when the man she had met in the elevator knelt and proposed to her unexpectedly.

Maya's body became stiff, even causing the tray she was holding to fall and causing the glass above to fall and spillover Marve's pants.

"What are you doing?" Maya whispered while looking around with an uncomfortable face.

Come on this joke isn't funny at all even if it's a joke they are just two strangers who don't deserve to be joking.

"I know it's sudden, but I've loved you since the first time we met two years ago. I've been pretending to be poor all this time but you never once looked down on me. Will you marry me, Maya?"

Oh God! is this guy crazy? I mean crazy.

Did he escape from the mental hospital?

And all his bullshit how could he so easily say it?

Maya had never had any male friends in a long time so she wasn't someone she might know.

And how does he know my name?

"Marven !!" Dervish did not accept it, this was an insult that had torn his pride.

Marve did not flinch with his grandfather's rebuke even if he had a heart attack this time he would have continued.

Maybe if he died in the afterlife he would feel ashamed when he met his mother in heaven and he became a resident of hell, that's what Marve was thinking right now.

His hatred was perfect, he loved his grandfather but his grandfather always gradually destroyed his love and turned it into hatred.

Marve knew that this girl in front of him must be so shocked that he didn't even flinch and just looked confused.

Without wasting any time, Marve wanted to throw her grandfather's pride deep into the abyss of humiliation right now.

Marve started to get up and a second later he had managed to kiss the girl in front of him.

Kissing her lips gently as if Marve had feelings for that girl while Maya was frozen at this point, maybe her spirit had already jumped out of her body by now.

The guests and all the servants at the party were shocked and couldn't believe what they saw.

Is this a picture of Cinderella in the modern world?
