Your Second Aunt is Beautiful (2)

Perhaps she knew that Song Qingcheng would not text her the answers to the examination questions; hence, Yu Jing put in extra effort in her revision. She did not run off to play computer games. Instead, she took a pen and highlighted the important questions, just like Song Qingcheng.

Evening came, but they were still the only ones eating in the dining room.

Elder Yu had already been taken back to the rehabilitation center.

As for Yu Jing's mother, Fu Min; she came over to ask about her daughter's homework upon waking from her sleep. Halfway through speaking with the girl, she received a call from the hospital, informing that the medical study group visiting from Switzerland had arrived in South City. Among them was an authoritative neurosurgeon. Even though her husband had been unconscious for many years, she still harbored hopes. After the call, she rushed to the hospital.

Lying in bed at night, Yu Jing took the initiative to talk about her parents' relationship.

"My parents were classmates during high school. My mother said it was my father who took the initiative to woo her. At the time, my father was a member of the Disciplinary and Investigation Committee. Once, my mother was late for school, and he recorded her name. Later on, she was caught by my father several times because she was late. It was only later, when they were together, that my father confessed that he had set his watch twenty minutes early so that he could have a few words with my mother."

Song Qingcheng smiled and added, "Such a romantic school campus love story."

"That's right. When they applied for university, my dad chose to be in the same city as my mom."

Yu Jing paused for a moment and seemed to have thought of something. She said, "My previous second aunt and my second uncle were classmates, too. Their wedding was a huge event. I was only seven by then and was the flower girl for the bride. I still remember walking down the red carpet."

"Was your second aunt pretty?" Song Qingcheng asked.

Yu Jing nodded. "She was prettier and gentler than Gu Jiazhi many times over. It's just that her leg couldn't be treated."

Yu Jing didn't mention it though… how the injury happened.

Song Qingcheng did not probe further. From the way Yu Jing had put it, she suspected that Yu Tingchuan's divorce was a taboo topic in the Yu family.

Late at night, the sound of keys turning and the door opening could be heard coming from downstairs.

Song Qingcheng had yet to fall asleep. She vaguely heard the servant greet the chairman, but she did not hear any mention of 'CEO Yu'.

He had not returned to the old residence tonight.

The next morning, Song Qingcheng left the Yu residence and went to her rented apartment.

Yu Jing wanted to follow along, but before she left, she received a call from Fu Min. She had no choice but to obediently go to her grandmother's house. She said to Song Qingcheng who was already changing her shoes, "Let's get the chauffeur to send you home first."

"There's no need for that trouble." Song Qingcheng tied her shoelaces and picked up her backpack from the floor. "There's a direct bus from here. Besides, the sun isn't too vicious today."

Yu Jing nodded. "Take care then."

"Okay." Song Qingcheng smiled. "I'm off now. Bye."

Auntie Xu witnessed this scene.

After Song Qingcheng left, Aunty Xu praised, "Jingjing, your classmate is a good person."

"Of course, she is." Yu Jing looked up proudly.

Song Qingcheng's rented apartment was located in a small demolition area outside the Third Ring Road.

She shared the apartment with two other female university students. They shared a living room and kitchen.

As all the people living here were girls, the apartment was very neatly and tidily kept.

Song Qingcheng had just finished cleaning up when her phone rang. She used a wet towel to wipe her hands clean. When she saw that it was Grandma, she picked up the call. "Grandma?"
