Isn't That Yu Jing's Classmate?

Song Qingcheng did not expect to run into Yu Tingchuan in the lobby on the first floor.

This was different from what she had expected.

The sound of urgent footsteps made by high-heeled shoes was heard approaching.

Song Qingcheng's gaze shifted slightly. Then, she saw Gu Jiazhi who had quickly caught up with Yu Tingchuan. She reached out and held Yu Tingchuan's arm like it was the most natural thing in the world as she said, "I dropped it at the entrance of your office. Luckily, one of the workers passed by and saw it. When I went up, she was just about to send it to the Lost and Found."

Gu Jiazhi smiled elegantly and calmly.

Song Qingcheng turned to look at Yu Tingchuan, but it was only a glance. She immediately turned around, took a pen and a piece of paper from the front desk, and started writing.

"Isn't that Yu Jing's classmate?"

After passing through the turnstile, Gu Jiazhi's sharp eyes noticed the front desk.

When Yu Tingchuan heard this, he casually glanced at the front desk. However, when he saw Song Qingcheng's back view, his gaze deepened. When Song Qingcheng heard Gu Jiazhi's words, she held her pen and turned her head. She did not look at Yu Tingchuan as if she was deliberately ignoring him. When she met Gu Jiazhi's gaze, the corners of her lips curved slightly upwards.

Gu Jiazhi smiled and said to Yu Tingchuan, "I've got pretty good eyesight."

Following this, she walked towards Song Qingcheng.

"Don't you have class this afternoon?" Gu Jiazhi was very friendly. Perhaps because this girl was Yu Jing's classmate, she naturally placed her in the position of a junior.

Song Qingcheng replied, "I'm going for a vaccination, and I came here to return some things."

Gu Jiazhi had already seen the paper bag in Song Qingcheng's hand, but she was very polite and did not ask what was inside. She picked up on the word 'vaccination'. From the corner of her eye, she saw the faint pink scar on Song Qingcheng's left hand. "Bitten by a pet?"

"Yes, a Border collie." Song Qingcheng nodded.

Gu Jiazhi turned around and said, "Tingchuan, isn't your Kucha a Border Collie?"

Song Qingcheng smiled quietly when she heard this.

Yu Tingchuan was standing not too far behind Gu Jiazhi. Upon hearing this, he glanced briefly at the 'perpetrator'. Deep wrinkles appeared on the side of his eyes, but his expression was unchanged. He said calmly, "Let's go. Jason and the rest are arriving at the hotel soon."

Gu Jiazhi nodded at his reminder and said to Song Qingcheng, "We'll be leaving then."

"Okay." Song Qingcheng smiled.

The girl stood where she was until they had left the building. Then, she slowly looked away.

The receptionist said, "Since Assistant Xu didn't go out with CEO Yu, he should be upstairs. Let me give him a call to ask."

Song Qingcheng turned and smiled at her. "That's no longer necessary."

As she spoke, she slipped the note she had just written into the paper bag and placed the bag on the counter. "Just help me pass this bag to Assistant Xu."

After leaving the corporation building, Song Qingcheng received a call from Lu Xishan.

Looking at the flashing phone screen, she roughly guessed that Lu Xishan was already anxious, regardless of whether Ge Wenjuan pressured him or not.

Song Qingcheng connected the call and held the phone up to her ear. "Uncle, what's up?"

"You didn't go to the washroom during class?" Lu Xishan asked.

Song Qingcheng nodded.

There was a short silence on the other end of the line. After a few seconds, Lu Xishan said, "I didn't call you for anything else. I just wanted to ask how you're doing with the man who lent you his suit jacket."

"Pretty good," Song Qingcheng replied casually.

However, these words clearly were not adequate to put Lu Xishan at ease. "Qingcheng…"

Song Qingcheng interrupted, "I know what you're worried about, but since Auntie said one month, we have two weeks more to go."

Upon hearing this, Lu Xishan didn't press her any further.

Song Qingcheng excused herself and hung up. Holding her phone, she stood on the sidewalk for a while.

When she regained her senses, she felt water droplets on her face.

Just as she was about to raise her hand to wipe them away, heavy rain poured down. Before Song Qingcheng could react, she was already drenched from head to toe.

The drenched passers-by cursed as they ran to take shelter from the rain.

Song Qingcheng wiped away the rainwater that blurred her vision and shielded her head with one hand. She wanted to cross the road to get to the subway station, but the rain was getting heavier, and her vision was getting blurrier. Her ears were filled with the sounds of sirens coming and going. She had just taken a step out when she was forced back to her original spot by the speeding cars.

A sharp pain came from her lower abdomen. Song Qingcheng instinctively clutched her abdomen with her hands.

Her period came yesterday.

This was also why she urgently needed to get to the subway station.

Besides, she had menstrual cramps.

As soon as she crossed the pedestrian lane, Song Qingcheng found herself unable to walk. The rain continued to fall so she simply held onto the streetlamp post and squatted down, trying to relieve the pain in her abdomen.

A black car drove past her, braked, and then reversed.

Out of the corner of her eye, Song Qingcheng saw the black car pull to a stop.

The passenger door swung open.

"Why are you squatting here?" Gu Jiazhi's gentle voice followed.
