Shangchen, Qi Ye 

As she stood in front of the Kalaki Empire gates, Yunxuan felt its intimating grandiose.

The city gates were a hundred meters tall and 10 meters wide. Guarding both sides of the gate were enthusiastic soldiers, all clad in white armor. Two to three golden dragons patrolled above the city gate. These were the special forces of the Kalaki Empire, Dragon Riders. 

It would not be a bad idea to build her alter ego's identity in this city as a start-up point. 

For a moment, an unquenchable thirst for battle seeped out from Yunxuan's eyes. 

"Midget, where are you going?"

A male voice, clear as a spring flowed through the air. Yunxuan turned back and saw a handsome beautiful youth stride toward her in confidence. 

His body was slender and graceful. It almost seemed like he was glowing from inside out, like jade Buddhist beads. He was dizzying to look at. 

With his pitch-black eyes that reminded her of glass pearls, prominent nose and perfectly shaped lips, his attractive looks were to die for. 

The youth smirked, looking rather much like a beauty who could bring empires down bowing at his feet.

Her heart could not help but skip a beat. 

This was probably the most beautiful young man she had ever met. 

But… what did he just call her? Midget?

Yunxuan found herself speechless.

For these past few months, she had put in a lot of hard work into her height, and now she had finally pulled it up to a certain level. Now in this young man's eyes, she was still a midget?

"I'm Qian Shangchen. What's your name? Midget!" Qian Shangchen looked at Yunxuan while holding back a smile. 

Seeing that he did not mean any harm and was a handsome guy to boot, Yunxuan answered him a little dejectedly. "I'm… Qi Ye!" 

Her name could not be used anymore, otherwise it would start unnecessary trouble. 

The Zhan's Ms. Seven had become the top genius throughout the lands. This news had long spread throughout Wutan City. There was no saying if no one knew of it here in the Kalaki Empire. 

It was best to be cautious in everything!

"Qi Ye? Heh, you have a number as your family name too, like me." Qian Shangchen laughed. That smile on his lips was absolutely breathtaking.

The corners of Yunxuan's lips twitched involuntarily, aloof as ever. 

Qian Shangchen said, "How sad, the little midget is so cold!"

He may be saying that he's sad, but there was not even a single hint of sadness on his beaming face . 

"Let's go together? If you are going to the Kalaki Empire, that is!" Qian Shangchen pointed at a carriage not far away. 

Just as Yunxuan was about to refuse, Qian Shangchen said, "You need to go through strict interrogation to enter the Kalaki Empire."

Yunxuan was speechless. She did not think it was this complicated. 

"Alright!" Yunxuan agreed. No doubt she owed Qian Shangchen a favor for this.

"Let's go!" Qian Shangchen was clearly in a good mood. He held onto Yunxuan and made their way to the carriage. 

Apparently, Kalaki Empire was not only an assembly point for top academies packed with talents, but it was also bustling with military affairs. That was why their borders were a lot stricter than other places. 

The carriage they entered was exquisite and grand, decorated with a hint of elegance. 

"Yah!" The carriage master roared. The horse's hooves ran like the wind as it galloped once more. 

Qian Shangchen ruffled Bing Yue's fur and asked Yunxuan, "Is this your spirit beast? It's such a cute nine-tailed fox!"

The moment Bing Yue heard Qian Shangchen call him cute, he immediately bared his fangs at him. 

Qian Shangchen could not help but laugh out loud, "Your spirit beast has quite the temper alright!"

Yunxuan glared back at him. Bing Yue promptly let out a whine and shrunk back. 

"Sorry about that!" Yunxuan gave him a light nod in apology. 

"Midget!" Qian Shangchen called out to her, "You are still so young, why are you learning to be so sophisticated? "

Yunxuan was stunned as Qian Shangchen continued. "Kids should be as naive as they come!'

Yunxuan scoffed. Kid? Naive?

Did he really think she was only 13 years old?

Qian Shangchen reached out his hand, laughing as he squished and rubbed her cheeks. "That's how it should be. Every person needs to smile."

Every person?

Yunxuan answered, "I am a person, but I am not a bigger person!"

She did not know anything about saving lives, or charity and she would never dream of doing such deeds. So she had always seen herself as a lesser person, no less. 

Qian Shangchen refuted, "Indeed, you are not a bigger person. What with your tiny arms and tiny legs, you can't pass off as an adult!"

She did not know if he was doing it on purpose, or if he really did not understand that she did not mean it that way at all. 

"Midget, what's your spirit user level at?" Qian Shangchen asked curiously.

"Seven stars!" Yunxuan answered. What she meant was a Seven Star great spirit master, whereas Qian Shangchen assumed it was a Seven-Star Spirit User. 

"No wonder!" Qian Shangchen understood. 

Seven-star ranked spirit users and below may have spirit beasts of their own, but they could not keep their spirit beasts with spatial rings. However, Yunxuan was afraid that Bing Yue might get bored, being the only spirit beast in the spatial ring, so she often let him out for a walk. 

Misunderstandings often started like this.

"Right, are you going to join Water Path Spirit Arts Academy?" Qian Shangchen asked. 

"Water Path Spirit Arts Academy?" Yunxuan cocked an eyebrow as she looked at him. 

Qian Shangchen smiled and explained to her, "Water Path Spirit Arts Academy is an excellent academy for spirit users. Every year, they would nurture many excellent and elite spirit users. For thousands of years, they have spread their name throughout Carlos Moving Land. So many spirit users dream to be part of the Water Path Spirit Arts Academy because it is a status symbol of sorts."

"Are there any requirements?" Yunxuan asked. However, in her mind, she was contemplating. If she had to go through an assessment test she would have to pass. She did not forget how much attention her current identity had garnered. 

Now the Zhan family had announced that Yunxuan would train in seclusion. If another top genius appeared in the Water Path Spirit Arts Academy, it would be difficult preventing people from connecting dots. 

She was not willing to take the risk, not one bit. 

"For the intakes, the rank appraisal test is in the main hall!" Qian Shangchen called.

Of course! Yunxuan pursed her lips. 

"For the teaching assistant test, then you'll just need to receive the appraisal test in the parlor!" Qian Shangchen continued. "The teaching assistant position is similar to a mentor. Not only is the pay high, but the benefits are good too."
