Chapter 2: Snakes in the Street

"Alright so we start in Universes 9,13 11. and we meet back here once we have our recruits and go to the void?" Nick asks.

"That's the plan," Gladio says.

"Well, where do we start?" Thawne asks.

"Well, let's try Universe 11 Thawne," Nick says patting him on the shoulder before being transported in a blue light to the new universe.

They find themselves in the back alley of a building, familiar to Nick.

"This is New York... before the bombs," Nick sighs.

On inspection, they were inconspicuous.

Nick was human somehow, as if the Hydra gave them a disguise.

"Let's go," Thawne says walking out of the alley.

It was bustling, as New York was.

They found themselves watching a crowd protesting about witchcraft on the steps.

A ginger stood out in that crowd, but Thawne felt an eerie presence, he began to cross the street, and enter a building going up the stairs against his will.

"Thawne where are you going?!" Nick yelled at him.

He stopped at a room an knocked on the door and snapped back to his senses, gasping for air.

"May I help you?" A woman answered the door.

"Let them in," a male voice says calmly from within the room.

They walked in, shrugging.

"You aren't from here," the man says approaching them.

His odd eyes were white and a bright blue, his hair was pure white and he wore a black suit.

A wand pointed in their direction.

"And I'm guessing your not tourists, rather time travelers," he hummed.

Thawne shifts uncomfortably at being called a time traveller.

"Am I correct?" He asked.

The two outsiders stood dumbfounded.

"You are, now who the fuck are you?" Thawne asked, walking closer to the man matching his smug yet authorative demeanour.

"I am labeled a criminal, but also a visionary seeking to fix the world," the man lowered his wand.

"Ahh I know you ok, Grindelwald. For that book, Got it.

The wand was immediately brought out again.

"Who are you?" He demanded staring at Thawne as if he just insulted him.

"We are from another dimension, Clash Corp representatives, and there's a storm on it's way,"

The group rushed outside as people rushed inside of buildings to take cover.

Lightning began to flash as the sky turned red.

A large beast a long black snake was stuck between two buildings.

Nick began shooting at it with his gun, as Thawne ran at it with a high speed before jumping, and throwing lighting at it. He then landed in the snake's mouth.

Nick brought out a crystal and threw it to Thawne, who crushed it in his hand.

Thawne felt energy, and more stiff, he found he had turned to metal, his eyes a yellow hue, he charged into the snake and destroying it from inside as Nick's lifeless body lay in front of the magician.

The beast disappeared into the wind, in the form of fall leaves.

Thawne ran at the group and brought them inside as the sky cleared.

The world went back to normal, people once again going about their day as if nothing occurred.

"Your welcome *huf*" Thawne fell to the ground as Nick returned his body, laying unconscious, a blue envelope next to him.

Grindelwald picked it up and read it.

'To the reader, Clash Corp is in need of Soldiers who are willing to risk their life to save the last Hydrona, the only species capable of destroying the red storms. If we don't we have not only doomed the world, but failed to keep a promise, and the more, the better,'

Grindelwald grimaced at the letter.

"So what now?" The woman asked impatiently.

"Leave them here," he answered before sitting on a chair.

"I'm interested in their proposal,

There's more to the story,"
