Lee Miyeon (Irene) was adopted as a child when her parents who were Korean immigrants died in an unfortunate accident. Her foster parents initially treated her kindly but  changed after they were able to conceive a child of their own. She was eventually sent abroad after a traumatic incident threatened the Lee Family's reputation in high society. THE LADY IS A COLD HEARTED PROTAGONIST

Lu Minzhe waited a few minutes outside of Miyeon's suite before making his way down to Hoshinoya Hotel's parking lot. He weaved through Tokyo traffic in his Model X Tesla SUV, humming along the way. As he neared Haneda Airport, he didn't forget to do a video call with his trusted subordinate, Cheng Yan.

"Status?" Lu Minzhe tersely inquired.

"Well hello to you too. How am I? Yes, I'm doing fine. I'm glad you asked. Lacking sleep but still alive," Cheng Yan launched into a monologue.

"Don't be dramatic and just give me the report," Lu Minzhe responded with an eyeroll.

"Whoa whoa whoa! Dramatic!? Wa sai! Wa cao! Ah-Zhe!!! I've been busting my ass for you! And you accuse me of dramatics!?" Cheng Yan sputtered. "You even rolled your eyes at me!" he accused.

Author's Note: Wa sai is slang for Wow! While Wa cao means F*ck.  Both are exclamations commonly used to express a feeling of amazement and shock. (๑>ᴗ<๑)
