Lee Miyeon (Irene) was adopted as a child when her parents who were Korean immigrants died in an unfortunate accident. Her foster parents initially treated her kindly but  changed after they were able to conceive a child of their own. She was eventually sent abroad after a traumatic incident threatened the Lee Family's reputation in high society. Yet soon after, the family's business takes a turn for the worse and Miyeon is abandoned completely.

Now an adult, she returns to her home country and meets Lu Minzhe (Parker James), seemingly for the first time. The next day Lu Minzhe acted normally as before..

Normal as in confident and shameless.

Early in the morning, the man knocked on the sleeping girl's room.

"Yeon-ah I want to eat changfen and tomato and egg noodles." The tall, extremely good looking man pouted by the doorway.

Awake but bleary eyed, Miyeon lay on the bed and stared askance at the man. She didn't even have a chance to be embarrassed about yesterday's events for which she was utterly grateful.

"I want it handmade by my sister." Lu Minzhe said matter of factly giving Miyeon a start.

"Please, Yeon-ah. Ever since my trip I haven't eaten any home cooked meals." He lied glibly.

Miyeon recalled how supportive Lu Minzhe had been since Japan and in helping her recover her memory. Ugh.
