Hope.

IMMORTAL DAO CAULDRON.

Chen Liwei couldn't be more shaken. As the cauldron got closer to him it kept on shrinking in size until it shrank to the size of his palm. He was afraid though as he did not know why the thing was coming towards him. Just when it was a few meters away from him he instinctively raised his hands in front of him as if to block it, but the cauldron continued it's descent towards his torso as though his hands were non-existent. This scared Chen Liwei out of his mind. He even try to roll to the other side to dodge it but he was too weak to even breath.

Then, when it was just several inches away from his torso, it emitted a black light that immediately surrounded Chen Liwei covering his entire vision. Next came a suction force that kept pulling him up until he suddenly felt like there was a change in the temperature of his surroundings. Chen Liwei was overwhelmed by the continuous turn of events. He felt like he couldn't handle it anymore and immediately collapsed

Although he noticed that he no longer felt the intense cold brought by the heavy rain, he hadn't realized that he was no longer where he was. If he had , he would have realised he was no longer under tree that was several hundred meters away from the Zhoutang village. But was currently in a place that appeared to be a mountain range with many tress surrounded by a fog.

Almost as soon as Chen Liwei collapsed the cauldron entered his dantain region and emitted a bright green light that seem to dissipate the fog in his surroundings. After a few breaths of time, the light dimmed until it was no more emitting light.

When Chen Liwei woke up he felt a stabbing pain from his head and he whimpered. This did not last long though. After a while the pain lessened and his vision became clear. Chen Liwei moved his hands to rub his stomach and he jolted. He immediately stood up and began to examine himself. If he felt anything at that moment then it would shock, disbelief, confusion and joy altogether. His previously mangled torso was now healed without any mark left behind. In fact it would be more appropriate to say it had vanished and in the region where his dantain was supposed to be, was an emerald green cauldron that was still in the process of fusing with his body. While it did so, it occasionally released some green substance that spread through his body giving a warm and pleasant sensation .

Chen Liwei did not entirely understand what was happening but he had his guesses and it made him shake in excitement. He quelled his excitement and began mumbling,"Could it be...?" He had so many questions in his heart but he knew he couldn't get any answers. At least not now. "I don't know why I feel this way, but I'm sure with this cauldron I will be able to cultivate now! I had always dreamed to practice magic and become a powerful immortal like the ones described by Uncle Luo. Just when I thought I was done for, someone suddenly brought me hope! I'm not clear about the intentions of whoever it was but I don't care either! This time I must become powerful so that what happened will not happen again. I shall not allow anyone to bully me again!". He was filled determination and resolution as he stood there.

He began to examine his environment well to determine where he was. Although he had noticed the change in environment, he had been too excited to pay any attention to the surroundings but as he continued to study the place he realized he had never seen this place before. What made him more sure about this was the lush vegetation of this place. He was not certain about how far he was from the Zhoutang village though.

"Although I believe I can now practice cultivation I have no idea how to actually go about it, hmm". Chen Liwei sank in to deep thought. That was indeed the case. After all, in the village a person was only exposed to the cultivation mnemonics and techniques after he was discovered to possess dantain. Chen Liwei , however, never got the chance.

'Ah whatever, I must find a way. There should be somewhere around this place that I can get the cultivation resources that I need'. He lifted his head to look at the sun that was setting now. After studying the place for a while he chose a path to take and started running in that direction. When he run for about nine hours, he searched for a cave in the mountains to rest. Not that he was tired, it was just too dark to see since he had no way of using qi to enhance his vision. If not that, then Chen Liwei believed he still had enough energy to continue his journey. This energy was provided from the cauldron in his dantain region that continued to release the green substance. The next morning when the sun started to rise he continued his journey in the the morning still moving in the direction he previously chose.

Time passed, and soon it had been three months since the incident. Chen Liwei was currently hidden on top of a tree surrounded by a faint green light trying his best to mask up his presence.

"Very soon the Dawn Ascension Sect will be taking in people!", said a young man excitedly who looked to be in his late teens. He wore a blue worn out robe that covered his entire body except his face. On the young man's back was strapped a dark grey sword about fifteeninches long. He also had two sacks hanging on both of his shoulders which seemed quite heavy and kept swinging as he walked. Walking beside him was a young girl who appeared to be few years younger than the young man. She also wore a blue robe like the man, though hers was not that worn out. Her hair was tied into a ponytail. If one looked at the duo closely, he he'd realize that they shared similar features.

The girl appeared to be thinking about something and had a worried look on her face. When the young man realized he got no response from his companion, he turned his head sideway to look at the young girl walking beside him. When he saw the look on her face he shook his head lightly and said, "Song Yue, you don't need to worry. It's been proved already that you possess a medium grade dantain. You only need to reach the third level of Qi Refining now and you'll be accepted. Those are the basic conditions to be accepted into the Sect after all". The girl addressed Song Yue shook her head and said softly,"That's not what I'm worried about. It's what happens after that...". The young man was silent for a while. "Don't worry. I will give you mom's necklace. It should be able to protect you from anyone in the Qi Refining stage and Merging stage". When Song Yue heard about their mother's necklace she became solemn and was about to talk again but he was stopped by his brother." I know you're worried about me but you don't need to worry I'm now at the eight level of the Qi Refining stage. When I go back to the Sword Dao Sect, I'm confident I'll be able to move to the ninth level of Qi Refining. If I succeed, I . By then it would be of less use to me." Song Yue was quiet for a while but she slowly nodded in the end.

Their voices became indistinct as they continued to walk forward until Chen Liwei heard no more. This was not his first time seeing people after being transported to this place. He arrived at this part of the Mountains a couple of weeks ago and saw at least one or two people in this place, especially the two that just passed. Anytime he saw someone, he always managed to hide in time with the help of the cauldron that would always emit a faint green light that would surrounded him. 'From everything I've observed so far, the city that I've heard about should be two to three miles away from here. Then there's is also the sects that are further in the mountains. If I'm able to get to the third level of Qi Refining stage, there's is a high chance of getting accepted into one of the sects. At the moment I need to get to the city, and look for the cultivation resources that I lack. Hope. There is now hope for me to tread on the path of immortality! I refuse to believe that I can't succeed!'. Chen Liwei eyes burned with passion as he stood there thinking. Chen Liwei now had a new goal in mind.

Chen Liwei got down from the tree and started to to run in a direction he believed would take him to the city. He couldn't wait any longer. Chen Liwei run as fast as he could.

Time passed, it was soon dusk. Chen Liwei was drenched in sweat as he stood there. About two hundred hundred meters away from him was a giant city wall! The wall was about thousand meters tall! He was awed by how tall the wall was. Chen Liwei was currently facing what appeared to be a gate that leads into the city. The gate seemed to be changing colours every minute.

Boldly written on the city gate in ancient style of writing were some characters. This was no doubt the city's name.

"SOLO HEAVEN CITY"
