"We can't keep fighting on the sea."

"But what shall we do then , duke Athavarus?"

"We will climb the mountains."

"But…It will be dangerous."

The duke looked at the other person.

"War in general is dangerous."

The silence began, but it didn't last long.

"Prepare."

He bowed to the duke and said with respect.

"I'll do what you say, duke Athavarus."

They climbed the mountain and were guided by a person who was familiar with this terrain.

"We should rest here for today.", the guide said to the people.

"The sun is still up.", the duke answered back.

The meaning was clear: Why are we stopping now? It's still not dark.

"It will be hard to find another place if we go with this tempo."

The duke looked unwilling, but he knew that what he said was true.

"I'll listen to you."

He walked to his men and told that they will stop here for today.

They all were happy. No one was used to climbing a mountain with so much baggage too. Some were already dead tired while some where still ready to walk some more. But in the end, they all were happy that they could take a rest.

"Wake up! We're going now."

The sun just woke up but they already up and gone.

After some time, a trusted subordinate of the duke spoke up.

"We can't go any longer."

"What do you mean?"

The duke gave the subordinate a cold look. He shivered but still mustered his courage and answered back with a straight back.

"I know that you understand me, duke."

Of course, the duke understood him. The group amount is now halved. Even with the help of the guide it wasn't easy for them even more for the people who wasn't used to this. They needed to look where they put their feet and keep watch. Because you'll never know when a beast will come and attack you. It happened sometimes already. An animal suddenly appeared and disappeared while taking someone of the group.

They were all scared, but they couldn't disobey him. That is why they all did what they expected from them.

"We can't go back.", the duke said.

He knew it but he couldn't go back now. They were already quiet far. Even when he wanted to go, what could he say to the emperor.

"Duke , look!"

A knight came running and pointed to a direction.

"People! They are a lot of people!"

Everyone went to the place where they saw people and there, they saw that it wasn't any normal people. They were wearing armours and wielded swords. They were the soldiers of Azan.

"Attack!"

The general from Azan screamed.

*CLING* *CLANG*

The swords of both sides were hitting each other. While the two dukes once again began their battle.

"AAAAAH!!"

Suddenly soldiers and knight of both sided began to scream. They were attacked by animals. While fighting they didn't notice it, but now they weren't fighting anymore they saw that they were surrounded by beast.

*CHING*

Theodon cut the head of an animal.

"Fight against the animals!", he commanded.

The once scared soldiers began attacking the animals and the soldiers of Azan joined in the fight too.

"This was the last one.", Morpheus said.

Everyone was relieved and sat down on the ground. The ground and the people were full of blood, but they didn't care. They survived, survived in this hell. Even when they knew it will be short, they enjoyed their well-earned rest.

Theodon stood in front of Morpheus who was silently lying on the bloodied grass.

"You still want to fight?", the duke of Xudiano asked.

"No, it will be a tie."

"Haha", Morpheus laughed.

"Our battle once again ended in a tie."

After resting for a while, they took of and went back to their Empire.

"You disappointed me, duke. Not once but twice already. What are you going to do?"

"I'm sorry, your Majesty.", Theodon said while kneeling on one knee.

"I trusted you, but now I'm not sure anymore."

"What should I do to earn you trust back, your Majesty."

"This time don't go in a circle."

"What do you mean, your Majesty?"

"Go through the city."

"Your Majesty, that's- "

"You won't listen!", he screamed to the duke.

"I'm sorry, your Majesty. This humble one will listen to your order."

With this the war on the mountain ended and the war that will be happening in the city will proceed soon.
