Tommy looks over to find several cruisers pulling into the park. He then sees a helicopter hovering overhead. I'm not going down without a fight. Putting a death grip on the steering wheel, he pushes the pedal down more. Sweat gushes from every cell in his body as he makes his way towards the back.
The sergeant sees Tommy heading for the exit when she enters the park. You're not getting away from me again, she thinks. Tires screech in protest when she veers to the left.
Tommy glances over to see a squad car coming his way. He then sees more close behind. I've got to get out of here quick. He shoves the pedal to the floor. Tommy looks behind him and then to the side to find reds and blues coming from every which way. Please let me get out of here, please, he begs, mere inches from a successful escape.
The officer taps Tommy's back fender causing it to weave to the right. Stiffening his body, Tommy regains control.
