Chapter 9

"Father!! Let your Holy Ghost Fire come down Lord!!" yells the Pastor. The entire room erupts with prayers as everyone prays fervently for Mrs Badmus whose eyes rolled around, hysterical giggles bursting out of her every once in a while.

"In Jesus Mighty Name we have prayed!!"

"Amen!!"

The Pastor glares at the woman on the floor who was still unfortunately stuck in her maddened state. "This woman has truly sinned against the Most High and humanity." says the Pastor. "W-What do you mean?" Sade asked. "Did she ever tell you about a secret cult that she was a part of?"

Everyone's jaws dropped as soon as that bombshell dropped.

Flashback:

"O ti sun mi oh ore mi." says a much younger Tinuke. "Why do you say so?" Her friend Chief Mrs Alakija asks.

"Nothing seems to be working well for my husband and I. Like we will work every single day from morning to night. Yet nothing to show for it." Tinuke laments.

Mrs Alakija nods, a fake look of concern on her face. "Ma worry. I know how to solve your problem."

The next day, Mrs Alakija takes her to the home of the leader of said cult, Alhaja Kosoko.

"So you want long-lasting success for not only you and your husband but for your children too?"

Tinuke nods. Alhaja smirks. "Easily said and done. Ashake here shall bring you for the next meeting and you shall be completely iniated."

End of Flashback

"AHHHH!! This woman has finished us oh!!" Ireti exclaimed. The Pastor points at Feyi. "You see Feyisayo here? She was necessary to break the evil spell within the family. Why? In order to remedy your mother's evil, there had to be that one child whose spirit would never conform to the wills of the society."

"A child that many would see as problematic but is actually a well meaning person."

Ebun looked at her sister with envy. What is so special about this bitch?

Feyi is confused. "Uhm...me?" The Pastor nodded. "Your mother did a lot of terrible things and now has to pay for her sins."

"Wait...so maami has to remain like this?!"

He nodded. "AH!! Mo darun!!" Ebun exclaims.

Feyi drops to her knees and breaks down in tears. "I...I am finally free."

Ebun has a venomous look on her face. We shall see about that.

On their way out, Dolapo gently takes Feyi's hand and pulls her close into a hug. "You have been through enough hell for once."

She nods with a pout. Dolapo smiles softly and kisses her forehead. "How about this? You and I go on a movie date today."

Feyi's head perks up. "Movie date?" He nods. "My treat."

Together, they head off to the cinema to go watch a movie. "Let's watch Wonder Woman!!" Feyi squeals and points at the movie poster.

Dolapo chuckles. Anytime Feyi shows this side of her, it makes him feel giddy inside due to the cuteness. "It is your choice." Once it was their turn, Dolapo pays for the movie tickets and then later buys two sweet caramel popcorns and two bottles of Coke.

"Let's go." They both head inside and head all the way to the back of the room and take their seat at the left side of the aisle.

Once the movie begins, Feyi could hardly contain her excitement as she waited for so long to watch this movie. Once the movie was over and they walk out, Feyi could barely contain her excitement. "That was the best movie ever!!" Dolapo laughs. "Glad you liked it." Feyi gives him a hug. "Thanks for doing this for me." she says. Dolapo gently patted her back. "Anything for you."

Unbeknowest to either of them, Ebun was busy spying on the both of them from afar. She too was in the cinema hall but it was not the movie she was interested in. No. She was keeping tabs on Feyi and this boy to find out more information about him.

She noticed how much happier Feyi was whenever those friends of hers were around; this boy in particular.

That alone makes her to hate her younger sister the more. Why is it that guys like her? She is not that special or attractive. As far as she was concerned, Feyi's only selling point was her nerdy habits. Other than that, she is just a boring, worthless bitch not worth loving.

You will pay for what you did to mother but first, let me sort some stuff out and then I shall deal with you mercilessly.
