While Lakshmi controlled Fischer, who was sitting on the ground with his hands cuffed behind his body, Jerome, Wolfram and Corrado met apart planning the steps to take with the new situation that had arisen from the appearance of the Swiss Guard. Particularly troublesome was the question of what to do with the prisoner. Having ruled out the possibilities of abandoning him to his fate, tied up in the tunnels or worse, the question remained of how to bring him to the surface and then what to do with him.
Finally Corrado said. "I have a concrete plan, but you must trust me."
And then he explained what his idea was about.
It was getting dark when Lakshmi, Jerome, Wolfram, Corrado and Fischer, the latter handcuffed, returned to the surface. No one was passing through the place so they could be sure not to be seen. The car they had rented was near the door behind the junkyard, and they all got into it, quite uncomfortable with the limited space for five adults.
