Chapter 1 - Prologue

Somewhere within Konohagakure...

A boy with bright blond-colored hair curled up in the ground as a few adults started kicking him angrily, ''You demon! No escape today for you, today, we will teach you for true! If not for you... If not for you!''

They were kicking so angrily that they became incoherent, spatting saliva at the boy, whose blue eyes were filled with crystal-like tears, mixed with his blood, drenching the ground with liquid, one transparent, one red.

''I-I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I-,'' The boy who seemed to be only four years old, apologized continuously, despite not knowing where he was wrong. His pain seemed to fuse together with his hunger, and the malnourished body failed to let him escape from the evil hands of the villagers.

He was so hungry, and the growling stomach seemed to come out as a roar, scaring the villagers, remembering the tragic scene four years ago, where the enormous Nine-Tailed Fox nearly destroyed the entire village. It was as if a pair of huge, red-colored eyes was staring right at them, and a big mouth slowly revealed its sharp teeth, ''Grrrr...!''

Cold sweat slowly dripped down their forehead, before the villagers ran away in an unconscious act. By the time their consciousness returned to its calm, the boy had already left the place, leaving only a trace of blood.

Such scenes happened many times, and the boy who was full of bruises quietly hid inside the labyrinth-like forest. He was crying nonstop, the psychological shadows and physical pain left was unbearable. The sunny boy who once smiled when meeting other children, only had eyes full of despair.

He couldn't take it anymore... Ever since he could remember, nobody liked him, they all hated him as if he was the worst demon in the entire world. The countless beatings, physical and mental torture were hidden deep in his heart.

The boy who once had a bright smile, is known as Uzumaki Naruto.

His stomach growled loudly, but the boy ignored the hunger, because he was already accustomed to the fact that he has no food to eat. Unconsciously, Naruto came near the spot where he always met his kind grandpa, who would occasionally give him the only edible food he could eat.

Throughout the way, some miraculous force seemed to heal his wounds, and even his body seemed healthy, despite it being extremely malnourished. Naruto had already become accustomed to it, but he saw two shadows on the usual spot, one of them being his kind grandpa.

The other was a man with black hair, a white-colored cloth covered his right eye, but his face was cold, as if the entire night was concentrated on him. The man took a deep breath before saying with a cold tone, ''Hiruzen, aren't you being too soft? Befriending Uzumaki Naruto, acting as a good old man near him, he is a tool!''

Even the sanest person could become insane, once a single button was pressed in their hearts. Much less a boy who is only about four years old, and only knew how to be hated throughout his entire, short life.

As if the wall of his heart had been smashed, Naruto ran away.

It seemed that Hiruzen's weak spot had been touched as his face became slightly gloomy, ''Danzo, don't you think I don't know your acts of spreading that he's a demon, I know it all! He may be a tool...''

After saying such things, Hiruzen breathed slowly, before continuing, ''But he's also the son of Minato and Kushina, my grandson! I won't allow you to take him as one of your emotionless tool at ROOT! If you continue spreading false things about him... You won't like the result.''

A faint aura appeared all over Hiruzen's body, and the huge pressure came crashing at Danzo, whose expression instantly became gloomy. His right eye seemed to emit a faint red glow before calming down, he nodded calmly before disappearing with a swoosh.

Hiruzen's last speech wasn't heard by Naruto, who ran away after hearing his seemingly kind grandpa's cold words, ''So it turned that even Grandpa doesn't care about me? W-Why?''

''What did I do... What did I do to deserve this?'' Naruto's mind seemed to snap like a string that was cut right in its center, breaking apart. His eyes became red like blood, and a slit pupil took place, but it wasn't noticed by the child.

It was as if his weak body was replaced with endless stamina, and so Naruto ran throughout the forest, running away from the Village that hated him as a whole. Crystal-like tears fell along the way, and his mind was as chaotic as the wars that happened in the past.

'What did I do to be hated, if I'm a demon... Why do I still exist...?' Naruto's thoughts were slowly changing, and the tears stopped falling, his body dehydrated from crying too much.

'If just I...'

'If just I didn't exist.'

...

It was unknown how much time passed, and the countless trees flashed as Naruto ran away, boosted by an unknown power. It slowly faded away, and so Naruto's body fell to the ground, all the fatigue and hunger coming at once.

In a dark space devoid of light, a pair of red-colored eyes opened up, giving off a scarlet luster, and a big mouth snorted, ''Hmph, this is the only help you'll get from me, brat...''

''Consider yourself lucky, for I have helped you.''

Naruto's body fell before a blue-colored fruit with unique patterns on it, and the last trace of consciousness left on him made him pick it. The immense hunger made him eat it with no hesitation.

An incomparably horrible taste filled his whole being, but it was as if he didn't feel it, as the blonde boy was accustomed to not eating. Even the worst food was like the most delicious one to him, but after fully eating the fruit, it was as if he was full of energy.

His already bright blue eyes seemed to become brighter, and streaks of blue lightning flashed through them. In the next moment, it was as if something bloomed within Naruto, and so his body disappeared in a flash, leaving only traces of blue-colored lightning.

It only took an instant for his energy to disappear, and only Naruto's determination to run away from that hell-like Village kept him flashing throughout the endless forest for a few more seconds.

His consciousness slowly fell into deep sleep, but a group of Ninjas not far away seemed to notice something. A dark-skinned man with blonde-colored hair lifted his head, ''Hm? I seem to have detected a powerful Chakra nearby...''

The man didn't go straight to it, but came to a tent where a burly man in his early thirties sat calmly, talking to another burly man who seemed to be around 18 years old or so.

Bowing his head respectfully, the dark-skinned said, ''Raikage-sama, B-sama, I have detected a powerful Chakra about thirty meters away, but it disappeared quickly. May we check it?''

''There's a powerful Chakra near our borders?'' The Raikage, Ay, looked at the dark-skinned man with some surprise. They were preparing for a mission to capture Hyuuga Hinata, so Ay came to help them till the border, not expecting such a situation to occur.

A little seriousness appeared in his eyes, before saying solemnly, ''Let's go.''

Then, without hesitation, the three of them disappeared, instantly appearing in the location where the powerful Chakra was felt.
