"I hate the English subject! It confuses me a lot, geez."

During his childhood years, Mori Ken would always complain to Sakura about how much he despises their English subject so much when they study together at her house.

Annoyed that he is being like this, Sakura would pick up her pencil and lightly tapped his head with it. After that, Mori Ken would eventually stop whining and glare at his friend.

"How would you even understand the subject if you keep on whining like that?" Sometimes, Sakura would have the tendency to switch from being a kid to being his mom in just a few seconds and it irks the kid sometimes.

Ken would look at her like Sakura was the spitting image of his mother before he replied, "Woah… mom, is that really you?"

Sakura was just about to hit Ken all over again but the latter automatically lifted both his hands and shielded his head from getting hit again.

Sakura sneered before saying, "Fine, I will teach you all that I know so that you can stop acting like a brat there."

Ken's face lit up and excitedly uttered. "Really? Let's start right away then!"

At the end of their English tutoring sessions, Sakura would notice how eager Mori Ken is to learn the subject from her just as she was being diligent to learn the ways of taekwondo from him the other day.

As a reward for his diligence, she would lift her hand up and give the boy a friendly pat on his head for a job well done.

It never fails to surprise Mori Ken though every time she did that to him even during their childhood days.

"Well done, my dear student. Well done…"

"Well done, master…"

At present time, Mori Ken was too stunned to even move a muscle as he felt Patty's hand still giving him a friendly pat on his head.

For some reason, it somehow reminded him of Sakura during their childhood years, making his heart skip a beat.

Soon enough, Sakura stopped patting his head and returned her hand to her side before she began eating the omelet rice that Ken ordered for her, leaving the latter dumbfounded in his seat.

Seeing Ken in this situation, Sakura started to feel unease in her seat. Therefore, she tried her best to look for a way on how to divert his master's attention as quickly as she could, or else it would only end up with them being awkward with one another from what she did a while ago.

After clearing her throat for a few seconds, Sakura began to speak, "How come master Ken still seems so thin with all those omelet rice and strawberry parfait that he consumes here almost every day?"

Soon when Sakura realized what she said just now, her lips parted in shock and she immediately gave herself a scolding.

What the hell did I just say? It sounds like I'm hitting on him or something like that! No, it's too embarrassing my gosh!

Finally after being silent for a while, Mori Ken lets out an alluring chuckle before fixing his eyes on the girl seated across from him.

"Oh, you're seriously wondering about that?" he responded, still laughing. But then he eventually stopped and continued, "Well, I work out a lot every day. Even just a simple jog or walk here would do for me."

In response, Sakura barks an amused fake laugh and says, "Oh, is that it then? In that case, you won't gain weight so easily and you'll still maintain your physical build!"

"You think so?"

"Yeah! Certainly"

Yet in Sakura's mind, she can't help but question herself while laughing nervously. What the hell am I even saying right now? This is just too embarrassing on my part.

"Oh, by the way…" Mori Ken uttered as if he remembered something out of the blue.

Sakura pursed her lips and raised her eyebrows at him. "What is it, master Ken?"

"You're not working here on weekends, right?"

"Oh, no, master Ken. Those are my rest days."

"Ah, is that so?"

Sakura picked up her mug of hot chocolate and took a sip from it.

Why is this guy asking for her rest days all of a sudden?!

She can't hold it anymore and dared to ask him, "Why did you ask, master?"

It took a few seconds after Ken was able to answer, "Well, I remember visiting here on weekends and you're not here. So, I was just curious. That's all."

"Oh, okay then."

Sakura mentally smacked her head with her palm. Sometimes, she hates it when she gets too assuming. She even assumed that Ken would ask him on a date on weekends or something.

Ah, their cafe rules also prohibit accepting invitations from their master to go on a date to preserve their identities. Anyone violating this rule would be automatically terminated.

As the owner's nephew, Ken must be aware of that rule, right?

Not later before their closing time, Ken was able to finish his meal while Sakura was still halfway to finishing hers. She admits that she can be slow at times when it comes to eating.

"Wow, this is I think the second time that we've eaten together and I just realized how slow you are to finish your food." Ken even pointed out her flaw that she is already fully aware of.

Sakura stopped eating and sneaked a glance at her master. Is this guy picking a fight with me or not?

Ken sensed her growing hostility as he pointed out her flaw, therefore he added, "No, don't take it the wrong way. You just remind me of someone I know who is also slow to finish her meals. That's all, I swear."

After that, Sakura was able to relax a bit and continued on her mission of finishing her meal. At the back of her head, she wondered who this person might be that reminds him of her.
