(King Sion's Castle Entrance)

"I already told you once, we can't let some stranger in to speak to the king." said the guard.

"I was just here earlier. The king wanted my help for a mission. Can't you at least tell him? He'll confirm it." said Louis.

The guard came forward, aggressively holding his sword to Louis's throat.

"Your delusions aren't worth the king's time. Get lost or I'll have to use force."

Louis held his arms up, showing that he wasn't a threat.

"Woah...woah. Relax. If you let me through, I won't tell anyone about the kind of underwear you have on."

"Huh?! What are you talking about?!!" The knight shouted as he held Louis against the wall of the castle.

"Oh, I have proof. Look...abracadabra."

Louis pulled out a photo of the knight, dressed in nothing but pink underwear.

The knight nearly choked on his spit. The image is no doubt him, but how did this stranger get it.

"How did you know?! This is a violation of my privacy. You have committed a great crime and will be held to it."

"I don't think so. It's a magic image." Louis snapped his fingers and the photo slowly turned to ash.

'Magic Image' a simple spell to fake an image of someone. Useful for blackmail.

"But, that means…." The knight murmured.

Louis nodded with confidence.

"That's right. I had no clue that you wore pink panties, man. It was just a hunch. But you exposed yourself and now I know for a fact."

The knight stepped back in amazement.

"A hunch? You were sure about my underwear from just a hunch?"

"Indeed. It's an ability of mine. My hunches are random but usually accurate."

The expression of desperation came onto the knight's face.

"W-wait. Listen, if you want to talk to the king, I can try to confirm your claims. But please, just don't talk about our conversation."

Louis gave the knight a thumbs up and nodded.

"No need to worry. I'll stay quiet. Now, go let the king know I'm here."

_________

"I didn't expect to see you back so soon. Did you need something?" King Sion asked.

"Nope. Just did a bit of thinking. I'll accept the mission. Just give me a week of prep time. I want to do this job the best I can." said Louis.

Considering how he was so set on not going earlier, the King wondered "What brought on this sudden change to your decision?"

"Honestly..."

The moment got intense, as everyone in the room waited to hear his response. A response that was surely going to be heart touching. After all, it had to be a great reason if Louis changed his mind so quickly.

"....Honestly, I'm just broke and need some money."

All the knights around twisted their faces in disappointment. Louis's response was simple and far from what anyone expected.

"A disgrace to knights."

"Is he really a former Royal Knight?"

"So this is The Royal Killer, huh. Disappointing."

Many voices whispered their opinions on Louis. The King, however, didn;t seem to mind the reason.

"I care not for the reason. I am grateful for your help. I'll go ahead and give you prep time, as long with a paper containing the details of the mission."

"I promise, I'll do this mission to the best of my ability. But, I can't really guarantee I'll make miracles happen."
