Spies

I woke up, finding myself on the couch. I stretched before going to Beatrix and giving her new food and cleaning up her litter box. I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower before finding comfortable clothes to wear. I didn't like the hair as much so I grabbed a random beanie and put on some baggy jeans. I put on an oversized hoodie.

The time was now 8:15. I had a few minutes left until I had to leave the house so I quickly made eggs and ate them. Once I finished I cleaned the dishes and formed a portal to the school. I heard someone call out my name and I looked back to see Grey with Niven. I walked over to them, giving them a small wave.

"I didn't think you would make it on time." Grey chuckled. I shrugged it off as we walked into the school.

"Aria came back. She's been asking about you." Niven revealed. If she comes today and bothers me, I'm not holding back anymore.

"Whatever. Did you guys eat breakfast yet?" I changed the topic as soon as possible.

"Nah, let's go to the cafeteria." Niven suggested. I nodded and we went to the nearby cafeteria. I immediately sat down where we usually sat. Grey looked back at me a bit concerned but continued walking to the juice station. They came back and Grey got me a juice. I thanked him before drinking it.

"What did you do to your hair?" Grey saw a glimpse of it under my hood. I readjust it.

"Nothing important." He scoffed at me before opening his water. It was a bit awkward, I knew they were still mad and it would take some time for us to get back to normal again.

"I'll see you guys later." I grabbed my bag and left the cafeteria. I checked the time and saw that class was starting soon so I just sat outside of my first period class.

"Oh, welcome back Ms. Viotto. How have you been doing?" I heard Ms. Pam from the classroom. She walked out of it.

"Thank you. I've been okay. I can make up the work if necessary?" I gripped onto my bag. She was a decent teacher but she gave out a lot of homework.

"You don't have to. Mr. James informed me on the situation. I can give you a packet that summarizes the last few lesson plans?" I sighed in relief. I nodded and she went back into the classroom. She came back with a decent sized packet in her hand.

"This is everything. It's good to have you back. Also, you can come in and sit." She flashed me a smile before going back into the room, sitting by her desk. I put the packet back into my bag. From the corner of my eye I see Aria. She glares at me before looking back to her friend. I decide to wait inside of the classroom, in my old assigned seat.

The next few minutes pass and the bell finally rings. All of the kids slowly come in, one by one. Aria was one of the last kids who came in, as she walked by me she grabbed my hood. Before she can pull it down, I grabbed her wrist.

"Don't touch me." I look up at her. She tried yanking her hand away but I twist her wrist. She raised her other hand at me, I immediately got up. She was a bit taller than me but it didn't scare me at all.

"Girls, stop it." Ms. Pam shouted at us. I let go of her wrist, and she put her other arm down. I glared at her as she walked to her seat. I sat back down, fixing my hood. Twenty minutes pass by pretty quickly and I receive a notification.

'Get out of that class. Now.' Grey sent me the text. I immediately got anxious and raised my hand.

"I have to go to the bathroom." I asked Ms. Pam she gave me a look before going to the door. She locked it.

"Sorry, no one is leaving the class. Including you." She had a devilish smirk on her face. I quickly get up, forming my katanas. I felt two ropes wrap around both of my wrists. I dropped my katanas. I looked to the sides and saw two of the kids using their magic to create ropes. Are they the ones working with my mom?

"I've been waiting so long for this." I heard Aria trail behind me. I tried forming magic in my hands but nothing came out. Great. She walked in front of me and formed a dagger. She trailed it up my arm to my neck. I flinched at the blade. How did Grey know?

There was a loud bang at the door and I saw Grey with Niven. Ms. Pam formed a barrier at the door, making sure they don't get in.

"Why? Ms. Pam, why you?" I questioned the teacher. She slowly walked towards us. The kids tightened the grip.

"Well, your parents gave me a good price for this. Also, I don't care for you." She answered truthfully. I looked around at the other kids and some of them had scared expressions. The other half didn't care. A few minutes pass as I'm stuck in the ropes. Aria removed the blade from my neck but placed it on my forearm. She pierced through the skin, and cut upwards leaving a large cut on my arm. I yelled as soon as it pierced through. The blood leaking out of my open wound.

My mom was forcing those who she couldn't get to work for her freely. The ropes became tighter by the second. I felt a piercing pain in my side. I look down and see a dagger sitting in my side. I heard shouting from the hallway but there wasn't much I can do to calm them down. This was it. I can't even fight my parents on my own. I started coughing some blood, the teacher disappointed in the mess I made with all the blood.

"At least fight me fairly. I bet I can beat you even with a dagger in my side." I coughed out. Aria looked back at me with the biggest smug.

"Let her go, if she tries forming any magic just kill her." Aria demanded the other classmates. They let my wrists go, my arms dropping in relief. As soon as it dropped, she kicked my other side. I wince and catch myself from falling. I get into my fighting stance, looking at the door. Grey and Niven were watching this going on. I dodged one of her punches, and I uppercut her with the little strength I have. As we were fighting, we heard lightning in the distance. I couldn't help but smile, which aggravated her. She kicked me down and as I laid on the floor, she removed the dagger. Causing me to scream in even more pain. It slowly came closer before a lightning bolt strikes the window of the classroom, breaking the barrier. Everyone including the teacher looked away from the windows. Aria covered herself for a second before a portal was formed underneath me, letting me escape the room. I land on a bed. I look up to see Beth. I couldn't help but look away from her.

"I didn't think I'd see you before I die." I started coughing up more blood. She hushed me and applied pressure to the stab wound. She looked at my arm and grabbed a nearby towel for it. The world was slowly spinning, becoming darker by the second. I heard another portal form, and two well known voices. It was Niven and Grey.

"I can heal the wound." I heard Niven shout. They ran over to me. I weakly smiled at both of them. Grey made eye contact with me, his eyes filled with guilt.

"It'll be okay love. You're not going to the moon yet. Keep your eyes open for me." He whispered to me.

"I heard it's peaceful there.. can't I just rest there for a bit?" I felt tears falling from eyes, Grey looked at me with tears in his eyes. My eyes kept fluttering but I tried my best to stay awake.

"It is, but you're not going without me." Grey whispered. He fixed my hair as it covered a part of my face. I felt a sharp pain where I was stabbed. Niven lifted up my hoodie and was healing my wound with his powers. The healing power he had didn't prevent the pain. I groaned in pain as he continued on. My wrists were now free and Grey gripped my hand. I squeezed it whenever the pain got worse, he didn't mind.

He finally finishes healing both of my wounds. I sigh in relief and wipe away the bloody tears left in my eyes. Beth walked over to me and gave me a hug.

"You are not going back to that school." She mumbled. I let out a little chuckle before hugging her back. I let go and sit back down in a different chair. I was lightheaded from the blood loss and pain. My Aunt handed me a cup of orange juice. I grabbed a nearby towel and cleaned up my mouth before drinking the juice.

"How did you guys know?" I weakly asked the others. They pointed at the door and James was there.

"Hi kid." He waved to me. I gave him a smile before rubbing my wrists.

"The lightning, did I do that?" I asked him. I'm not certain if I can control lightning or the wind if I'm unable to use my sorcerer magic. That might be one pro to being a storm sorcerer.

"Yes. I don't know how but you saved yourself. You possibly had your grandmother in you for that one." He answered. I take a good look around the room and realize we're in my aunts' house.

"Oh okay. I'm going to head home.." I got up from the chair but I stumbled a bit. Grey caught me.

"I'll take her home." Grey held me from the side before forming a portal. We walked through it and stood in front of my door. I reached for my keys and unlocked it. I let out a little sigh before having to walk again. He helped me yet again to walk towards the couch. I took off my shoes and hoodie as soon as I sat down. He stared at my hair before looking at my face.

"You look cute. Why are you hiding it?" He put his bag on the floor and sat next to me. I turned to face him.

"I don't know how I feel about it. Thank you for the help." I smiled at him. He grabbed my hand and gripped it gently.

"Well, I'm telling you that it looks cute on you. Of course. I didn't want to lose you again." I heard the sincerity in his voice. I yawned and leaned back into the couch.

"You should take a nap." He got up from the couch. I shook my head.

"No, I'm not that tired. I just need something sugary." I pointed at the fridge. He walked to it and took out two soda cans. He walked back over and gave me one before sitting back down. I opened it and started drinking the cold beverage.

"Did you even mean to use lightning?" He randomly asked. I placed my soda down before crossing my legs.

"No. I guess I just got lucky. Either there's some God out there looking out for me or my grandmother forced one to help." I started laughing at my joke. He gave me a concerning look before shrugging it off.

I turned on the TV and put on a random show for us to watch. Halfway into the second episode I realize that Grey should've gone back.

"Shouldn't you go back to school?" I asked Grey. I stopped the show that we were watching.

"I'll take the day off. You literally got stabbed. Niven also left school early so it's not like I'd have someone to annoy." He defended his actions. I gave him a look before sitting closer to him and turning the show back on. He placed his arm around my shoulder and pulled me in. I rested my head on his shoulder as we watched the show.

A few minutes pass before we watch a sad scene. The husband sacrificed himself so the wife can live. It shows how she fell apart, losing her other half. I felt Grey pull me in a bit more as soon as we watched it. I lifted up my head and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. He looked down and smiled at me. A thousand butterflies were in my stomach right now, trying to get out. He kissed my forehead before continuing the show.

There was a knock at my door, alerting both of us. Grey gets up and checks the peephole. He gives me a weird look before quickly walking over to me.

"There's a demon?" He pointed at the door. I realize that it might be Eli so I got up and opened the door.

"I said not to come to my town." I crossed my arms across my chest. Eli looked down at the floor.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to check up on you. I saw lightning earlier and knew it was you." He stated. I look behind Eli to make sure no one is there.

"I'm fine. Do you have a place to stay? You should stay at the house I was in before." I wrote down the address of the house on a piece of paper before handing it to him.

"That's good. Thank you, is it fine if I visit sometimes?" Eli asked. He was lonely, I felt bad for the demon.

"Yes, I'll even visit you from time to time. Hope it goes well. Bye." I waved to him before closing the door. I saw the brightest smile appear on his face. I turned around and Grey started pointing at the door, confused.

"You're f-friends with a d-demon?" He stuttered. I get where he was coming from since I had to kill a bunch of them.

"Yeah, I spared his life when his buddies attacked me. He was forced to fight when he didn't want to." I walked to the kitchen and grabbed a quick snack. Grey gently grabbed my forearm and turned me to face him.

"Vio." He had a serious tone making me so anxious. I just stared up at him confused.

"Grey."

"You have something on your lips." He swiped his thumb over my bottom lip. I felt my cheeks heating up so I looked away. He griped my chin with one hand and made me look up to him.

"Are you getting shy?" He whispered into my ear. How the hell am I supposed to respond. I decide to risk it and lean in for a kiss. He realized what I was doing and leaned in as well. Our bodies were as close as they can, his soft lips pressed against mine. He cupped my face with one hand while the other one was wrapped around my waist. The kiss lasted a minute before we broke it.

He grabs my hand and pulls me to the living room. I lean on the back of the couch, staring back at him.

"Will you, Olivine Viotto, go on a proper official date with me tomorrow?" He officially asked. I couldn't help but smile at how cute he is.

"Yes I will, Grey Caine." I answered his question. He sighed in relief before giving me another kiss on the lips. I looked outside and saw that it was cloudy. The sound of distant thunder approaching slowly. I looked over to Grey who was just as confused.

"Oh yeah, we're supposed to have a thunderstorm tonight. Is it okay if I stay over?" I walked over to the window, watching the clouds darken.

"It's fine. Only rule is that you stay in the living room." I crossed my arms across my chest as I told him.

"You have a guest room." He pointed at the empty room. The one nightmare kept replaying in my head.

"Yeah. You're not sleeping in it though." I demanded. He raised his hands in defeat before sitting down on the couch. I stayed by the window, fascinated in the view.

"Are you hungry? I can heat up some pizza rolls." I asked Grey as I walked by the couch to the kitchen.

"Yeah. Thank you." He shouted back to me. I took out the pizza rolls and put them in the conventical oven. I went back to the couch and sat with him watching the new episode. Twenty minutes pass and the timer goes off. I rush to the kitchen and pull out the pizza rolls. I put them on two plates before walking back to Grey. I hand him his plate and put mine on the small coffee table in front of us. I cover myself with a blanket and Grey takes some of it for himself. We decide to just cuddle and eat the pizza rolls together. Beatrix came and slept on my side as we watched for the rest of the night. I turned off the TV as he fell asleep, I slowly fell asleep in his arms right after.
