Snakes Are Slippery

(Naruto POV)

I am making my way towards my teammates, searching for them wasn't hard with Kagura's Mind eye. Damn, it's really useful.

Anyways, I am on my way when I hear fighting sounds, I immediately used Mind eye and see Sasuke fighting a giant ass snake and a person standing near them. I know he is Pedomaru. I quickened my pace and got there just on time to see Sasuke using his final fireball jutsu on snake while the latter just ignored the burns and slithered forward towards My Sa- I mean Sasuke. I saw Sasuke closing his eyes, accepting his death.

I shunshin in front of Sasuke and make hand signs for wind style: Great breakthrough, My attack hit that snake and it was super effective.

I turn around to have look at Sasuke who still has his eyes closed seeing which i couldn't help but grin. He opened his eyes and was immediately surprised to see The Great... Me in front of him, well... can't blame him I'm just that great.

He is opening and closing his mouth, like a fish. I make my way towards him.

"Awww, Did that bad ninja scare our little Sasuke? Don't worry, I'll make him pay.." I said

He snapped out of his fishy trance (hehe see what i did there) and Smiled

" Took you long enough." He said

"Well, you know me, punctuality was never my forte." I Said

" Ke ke ke Another sweet little play thing. Let's haveee some fun." Pedomaru hissed

We look at him. The snake beside him ready to attack. I look around for Sakura and she is standing near a tree... almost hiding. Yep, I saw that coming.

" We have to get out of here, Naruto. We are not this guy's match. He on a whole other level." Sasuke warns me regaining some hope to escape.

I look at Pedomaru who is still in his disguise.

"Why don't show us your real face, don't tell me it is uglier than your current face." I said to Pedomaru

Sasuke looks at me in confusion, then his eyes widen in surprise as realisation dawned at him and he looks back at Pedomaru.

"Oh you were able to see through my disguise. This might be more interesting than i thought." He said before his face starts melting along the rest of his face and his true face is revealed.

"I'm Orochimaru, Leader of the Sound village. So... Who might you be?" He asks me and realises his killing intent at us but I don't falter and release killing intent of my own. If he is surprised, he hides it well.

"... Naruto" was all i said

"Naruto.." Sasuke couldn't finish as i interrupt him

"Don't worry Sasuke, leave him to me, you handle that snake, it's already wounded so it shouldn't be difficult."

Why would i ask to fight him alone? because Like i said before I am a battle junkie. I love to fight strong opponents... and crush them. I'm not counting on the fact that he left Naruto alive in the anime so he'll do the same now... not that he has a choice in the matter, I don't think he wants to risk fighting Nine tails right here and now. I actually just want to crush him.

A large grin formed on my face and my blood start boiling... not literally.

'Calm down, Naruto. Duck butt hair(Sasuke) is right. He is strong... and perfect to test how far you have come.' Kurumi is obviously not worried about me, he knows if anything happens I can easily run away.

'Then... Why are you... grinning savagely?' I asked him and yes he is grinning

"Then let's do it." I said out loud and rush forward.

Pedomaru's snake comes at me full speed but I ignored it and went past it, towards Pedomaru.

(3rd POV)

Naruto got near Orochimaru and kicked him on the face which Orochimaru dodge by tilting his head stepping back diagonally. Then they engaged in taijutsu fight.

Orochimaru punches Naruto who catch his fist and Kicks him on his chest, Orochimaru blocks the kick with his other hand's forearm. Naruto uses his forearm as a stage to jump back and makes hand signs midair for Fire style: Dragon fire jutsu. Orochimaru seeing this does hand signs too.

Naruto lands and spews the jutsu right away, The jutsu hits Orochimaru and engulfs him in bright red fire. Orochimaru's body fall limp on the ground, still burning. Naruto doesn't let his guard down even for a moment.

'It can't be this easy. He has not used any jutsu at all.' As if on queue, flames covering Orochimaru's body become smaller and smaller until they are out and from Orochimaru limp body comes out many snakes. They slither around and gather at a spot few metres away from Naruto. They climb upon each other and forms the shape of a human body. The human body becomes Orochimaru... who starts laughing.

"I did not expect your jutsu to be that strong, it almost got me." Saying this he shunshin near Naruto and they engage in a Taijutsu battle once again... only this time Orochimaru has a upper hand... or so it looks like.

'He is not bad but if that's all he got then... This place will be his grave.'

Feeling excited Naruto subconsciously start releasing Nine Tails mixed chakra. Orochimaru sensing nine tails chakra chuckled

'Nine Tails Jinchuriki.. Old man is letting him take chunin exam is certainly a surprise. I'm sure he has a plan. But I don't have much time, they should have found the body of grass ninjas by now'

As this was happening Sasuke who barely finished the snake saw their fight and wanted to help but couldn't, So he decided to sit against a nearby tree. Sakura comes to his aid but he swat away her hand.

Naruto stops playing and punch Orochimaru on the nose, breaking it the process.

Naruto used this chance to change his footing, 'Time to take out the big guns' Naruto said Internally and proceeds to change the song to 'Courtesy Call'.

Orochimaru saw Naruto's whole demeanor change from stance to form and his instincts flare up on danger. He use Water style: Water tumpet jutsu and spews large amount of water from his mouth at Naruto.

Naruto makes hand signs and use Fire style: Flaming Sea. The two jutsu collides and cancel each other, producing steam in the process.

Naruto took out kunai in both hands and covered them in wind chakra and rushed at Orochimaru, being a sensor he could sense his exact position.

When Naruto was just 5 metres away he threw his wind covered chakra kunai at Orochimaru's left shoulder blade which was dodged by Orochimaru, Naruto then instantly followed up with throwing his other kunai at his waist, Orochimaru jumped sideways to avoid kunai.

Orochimaru successfully dodged kunai but he sense danger at his side, he jumped up and when looked down he saw Naruto coming at him with a kunai through steam.

He didn't get a chance to breathe in relief when his instincts flared again and He looks behind and see Naruto coming down at him with Rasengan, clearing steam along the way. He couldn't do anything midair and was hit on his back, He was slammed to the ground.

'Well... that felt good.' Naruto thought as he dispelled his clone who was smiling with kunai in his hand.

Naruto turned around to look at Sasuke, who was looking at Him, they both smiled at each other. Suddenly Sasuke's smile turns to panic

"Look Outttt" Sasuke Screamed

Naruto seeing this turns around and sees many snakes coming at him. With no time to react he is captured. He looks ahead to see a bleeding and limping Orochimaru smirking at him.

"That wass actually quiteee gooood but Not enough. Kekeke." Orochimaru hissed and chuckled.

Orochimaru's neck elongate but instead of attacking Naruto he heads towards Sasuke.

Sasuke see him coming at him fast but is not able to do anything as he still has not recovered.

Orochimaru reach Sasuke in less 5 seconds and bite him in his neck giving him The Cursed Mark and retreat his neck back.

Sasuke feels immense pain all over his body. He loses consciousness not being able handle the pain.

Naruto somehow free himself from snake binding and make hand signs for Fire style: Dragon flame jutsu. The jutsu hit Orochimaru and is engulfed in flames.

But Orochimaru's body transforms into a log.

'Damn it, He escaped.'

(A/N: He is better than in canon or almost everyone his age but Orochimaru has experience, Knows many jutsu and many other things. Hence He escaped SUCCESSFULLY.
