Whirlwind Slash

With the help of the medical chamber, Thomas was able to recover most his energy in five minutes.

"Ah, my head is still hurting. At least I was able to see the yellow adamantine seal even if just for a second. Now it should be time to see the other technique." Satisfied with today's gain in the defense technique, Thomas turned to the only technique he had even gain a single experience on.

Different from it's sibling technique, this one was designed for attack-attribute adepts and its level of difficulty was also a little bit higher.

The technique had also been added to his character sheet among his skills, yet when he tried to use it....

"Adamantine Whirlwind Slash!" Using his hand as the saber he slashed at the practicing doll. A colorless crescent moon-shaper arc flew at the doll leaving a finger sized scratch on its surface.

[Anima Energy:850/900]

This time only measly 50 points of anima energy were spended and its attack power also much weaker than his Titan God's Hand.

Once carefully reading the technique for a couple hours, Thomas learned why the skill didn't work well in the first place.

"What? It needs to condense seals as well." Similar to the previous technique, The Adamantine Slash need to condense energy seals as well.

Waving his hand, bright red energy flowed through his fingers to the air like thin threads that organized to form a circular seal with a triangle in the middle. Looking at the example in the wrist computer, he confirmed it looked the same as the one shown in the picture, the Whirlwind Seal.

[In order to use the Adamantine Whirlwind Slash a minimum of three Whirlwind Seals which can be conspired the barely minimum achievement in the technique. The intermediary and advanced levels require 6 and 9 seals respectively.

Basic: 3 Seals (Adept)

Intermediary: 6 Seals (Elite Adept)

Advanced: 9 Seals (Master Adept)]

Once he got a higher understanding of all the principles of the technique, Thomas grasped the only whirlwind seal he was able to form and repeated the previous movement where he slashed at the practice doll.

PA!

The attack was so fast its trajectory couldn't be seen with the naked eye, only a large scar could been seen on the practice doll's torso, about six times longer than the previous dent.

[Anima Energy: 550/900]

"Phew, that has gone fairly well. Its just surprising that a one-seal whirlwind slash would consume this many!" During the entire time, Thomas was keeping track of the energy consument in the bar at the corner of his eye, and he felt alerted when seeing his energy decreasing that fast.

Once he organized his thoughts, Thomas sighed. "Its fine. I least this these two techniques will help me when I can't use any of the demonic skills."

Before leaving, Thomas tried to check his character sheet, but it didn't open. Supposedly, his demonic physique advancement was still ongoing and he could only see the changes when it finished.

Feeling satisfied with everything he learned in the past few hours, Thomas saw it was just past afternoon and decided head somewhere else.

"Oh, you are already leaving?" Said one of the guards at the entrance as he recognized Thomas as the student with special-grade treatment.

"En, I have some things to deal with in the city."

"Fine." In the rules of the training camp, it is said no student could leave the camp unless it was form a mission, in fact the whole reason he was there was to confirm if the students trying to leave had accepted a mission or not. Of course, Adepts given special-grade treatment didn't need to abide by those rules and could walk in and out anytime they wanted.

Running towards the city at full speed, Thomas searched for any suitable place to rent on his wrist computer.

[Small sized Apartment in the city's central street (Hazard level 0), one room, 35 square meters. 5890 Credits monthly. Hazard Level 0]

[Small sized Apartment, Ovoras Residential Sector (Hazard level 2), two rooms, 68 square meters. 850 Credits monthly. ]

[House, Bell Plaza, four rooms, 120 square meters. Selling price at 80.000 credits.]

Just from this it could been seen how the location was important when looking for a place to rent. Especially in terms of pricing, places with low hazard level were pretty safe with almost zero occurence of dimensional rifts and other monster attacks so it was fairly expensive to live there. Other places with higher Hazard Level had higher risks and even back in Dexia City were places with the highest occurrence of attacks.

After all, his own neighborhood in Dexia City was a hazard level 1 and didn't have as many accidents as the other sectors of the city.

It took him about five minutes before finding a suitable place at the edge of the city and it was even Hazard level 5!

At this point, it was too dangerous for anyone that wasn't a adept despite also being the places with the highest number of guards and patrolling officers. Ordinary people wouldn't never dare to even walk in such a place for long much less live in it so only those that had no other choice would live here.

However, was Thomas wasn't a ordinary person, having both 3-star adept power and the mysterious system behind him he had no fear of location with high Hazard Level.

According to the map, the Bell plaza was located on the outer side of the city, about 5 minutes away from the camp. It was close to the Golden Bell Lake but it was desolate due to being a hazard level 5 location.

Without wasting time, he marked the address on his map and headed there immediately. Initiality all he wanted was to rent a place for the next few months, but once he got saw the place before him, he decided it was a good place for him.

About thirty minutes later, he already finished most of the procedures but had to wait since it would take about two days before he could move out.

"Good now that its done I should somewhere to eat." After all this time, Thomas couldn't hold back his hunger and went to look for a nearby place when he felt a strange sensation.

It was already night and none could be seen in the surroundings which made sense since nearly no one lived here.

Even with his senses, he couldn't detect more that ten live forms in the whole block.

Out of nowhere, Thomas felt a shiver down his spine, it happened so fast he had no time to react as he felt that a hand grabbed him by the head.

Wooooooosh!

Feeling the violent wind clashing against his body, before he was thrown down on the ground.

Pa! Thomas rolled on the ground for a few times before recovering his senses, and what he saw when he raised his eyes was a pair of fiery-eyes gazing directly at him. Eyes that once they made contact with him, the moonshadow demonic energy in Thomas' body shook violently as if it wanted to completely exterminate the person before him.

He was completely sure what stood before him was some powerful being he could not recognize, as for how it could appear so suddenly was something he could only guess.

Ignoring the changes on his own body, Thomas gave a look around upon seeing unfamiliar surroundings and knew he was already very far from the city. The only thing he knew at that point was that he was in darger.

"...." Making a noise he couldn't distinguish, a hand grabbed his neck and raised him up before he was smashed on the ground, blood falling from the corner of his lips. Feeling the lack of air as the hand tightened its grip on his neck, the demonic energy lying deep within his body was moved and flooded through his meridians, blood vessels and organs.

Instinctively, his eyes turned purple as a massive shockwave repelled the aggressor, sending this person several meters away.

'Wait... It's him?!' The person lowered its hand, staring at Thomas for a while before a strange through appeared in her mind. For the first time Thomas was able to recognize a word said by the person and was surprise to hear it was a mature female voice as well the fact all killing intent emanating out of her was nowhere to be felt.

When he got up from the ground, his hair had changed to purple and his ears turned pointy, purple-moon patterns appeared all over his body the same exact way as when he awoke his full demon transformation for the time.

It was also at this moment that he was able to see the mysterious person's face and what he saw wasn't anything could have imagined.

Despite being a lot younger and with better skin than he remembered, he knew the face of the person before him which made him lose his words, it was the face of a person he had indeed seen about a few times when he was accompanying his mom to visit Clarisse's home back then.

This single scene was enough to put him in a position he could have never imagined, but once seeing that face fiery red eyes that seemed to pull off his soul. And instead of the shorty curly blonde hair, a blazing red hair fluttering in the wind like real flames and the small pair of horns on the back of her ears, he knew it wasn't a dream.

"Aunty Hannah?!"

"Thomas?!"
