Water

"I lost…" Under Kuro's arms, there she goes speaking in a tone that she didn't care the results. However as child she was, a faint frustrated emotion was told to Kuro.

"Kuro~!! Let's fight! Let's fight!" Getting off from the branch, the white figure got closer to Kuro while swinging her arms aggressively.

An Oni was worthy of the rumours of battle maniac.

In opposite, Kuro, by no means liked fighting but it didn't mean he hated it. So if it was usual, he wouldn't mind fighting with her, but the battle with Okayu tired him.

So he politely rejected her.

'I wonder if we're going by Virturan's comparison, what level am I…?' Kuro had this thought when he saw the tree he kicked down.

Of course, Korone's blow was also applied to the tree making that tree's trunk to be taken down easily. However, it doesn't change the fact that he took down the tree with a single kick.

His [Technique] should be at least at level 2: Expert, right? After all, his control over forces has became much better than before.

Moreover, being able to see the Ki. These sight over Ki gave him assistances over his force controlling practice.

Because he can see the forces (life energy), he had the gists of which muscle caused the way forces moved. This is better than being taught than Ayame, after all—he is learning from his own experiences.

Rather than someone's experiences.

Kuro was deep in his thought while the Okayu in his hand was shaking her hand up and down to take his attention.

"This is hopeless…" Okayu gave up as Kuro was deep in his thought.

Once upon a time, Kuro has beginning to daze off from time to time. His stress asides, most of this reason was because of that certain girl who daze off.

Even though Kuro acted like an adult, he was children in the end. His curiosity, and the intention to attempt to imitate something he thought was cool—stayed there.

Although it hasn't been mentioned in this novel this far, Ayame's dazing off was a bad education for children.

Kuro's body twitched as he felt an pain in his finger… 'oh it's just Korone.'

Kuro mentioned that continuous biting of finger can change the bone structure, but does it even matter? In the end, this world was a magic world. Can't he use magic to restore his finger?

"Sorry." Kuro finally noticed that his was still unconsciously patting the cat's head. He gently let her go, and resumed his analysis.

The water he used, surprisingly doesn't requires mana. Instead, it required him stamina. To make it simple, 5m radius is his body, and within 5m, he can 'make an action' which is 'materialising' the water.

Te bigger his action (the water materialised), the bigger the consumption of stamina. He can enlarge his body (radius where he can make water), with the cost of more stamina.

I was actually an Esper?

The terms of Esper is an specialised species of creature, who could use 'magic' without contracts.

Even though it's called magic, they don't use mana, instead the stamina. There's several restriction compared to the contracted mage.

But the clearest penalty for Esper is, they can only use the elements they were born with. It's the term of 'Mutants' in Marvel.

However, as Esper's personal elements is a type of 'quirk' they can train it.

So, if he was an esper, it would bring a huge assists to him, in terms of strength, as it's mana-free tools. Moreover, he found it out so quickly (at the age of 5).

To make it even better, it's one of the element that this planet are filled with, water.

Kuro automatically thought what he could do, and a certain light shone in him. "Ayame-chan, can you take me up to the sky?"

"Ehhh… then if you duel with me, I will do it." Ayame seemed unwilling, but pondered for a bit.

"Sure." As this matter is important, Kuro decided to agree with her.

"Yay!" She biunced happily, then she took Kuro by his stomach, then her whole body turned slight red as the mark on her back shone.

Her first jump, made a tremor in soil, and a ground shook in ripple, spreading bigger.

The original both kuro and Ayame was in, was now cracked, although she controlled her power to not destroy the ground too destructively.

The wind were hitting both Kuro and Ayame's cheek, and Kuro even had the temporary troubles with breathing.

Just as she reached the peak point her first jump could emit, Ayame's leg bended, before it kicked the air violently.

Behind her tender and smooth-like legs, there existed the strength of monster. As the sound barrier shattered like a glass, a ripple was drawn in the mid-air, as both Kuro and Ayame flew once again.

'Seriously…? I have to fight this person after this?'

Just as Kuro was sweating hard, the two reached the cloud, and they were at the height where both of them could touch it.

To prevent her from falling, Kuro regained his mindset to current situation—under Ayame's embrace, he weakly swung his hand, as to manipulate his Origin Mana.

The pitch black mana materialised, and with effort some point of effort, Kuro controlled it to keep it levitated. Although, this action is taking a quite amount of mana.

Under Ayame's amazed gaze, Kuro hurried as he touched the cloud. 'Cold…!'

'Gather the hydrogen, compress the water vapour!' Kuro's hand temperature began dropping rapidly, as it turned slightly pale.

Despite that, he continued to focus on his action. Gather the cloud, compressing it to small space, harden it…

3.0%

He remembered an unpleasant memory… to not let it happen again, he'll get stronger.

Stronger to protect my friends.

Stronger to keep the peace as long as I can.

As Kuro began to lose the sensation in his hand, the cloud began to compress inside the small hand of his. However, it isn't as obedient, and it wasn't far for he hardened cloud to explode in his hand.

To prevent it, Kuro rotated his wrist in struggle, as to control a forces as hard as he can, then used his Origin Mana to keep it compressed in the shape of javelin.

Feeling that he can't suppress it anymore, Kuro threw the javelin in the air, and released of his hold from it.

Despite how hard the cloud javelin and the unknown sharpness of the tip in it, the cloud javelin was actually weightless.

The cloud javelin flew at great speed, along with the rotational forces in it. Afterward, its shape couldn't be suppressed anymore—it exploded midair.

The fragments of cloud spread in the air and an small drop of water fell to the earth-showering the trees.

'Almost same power with the person I don't know yet, despise the most…' the despair engulfed Kuro, as he was powerless now, he fell directly.

Ayame caught him at the same time, the pitch black mana disappeared.
