Piano

13/30

"Ayame-chan, are you interested in singing?" Kuro called out the Oni in the empty room in the 2nd floor.

"By singing—is it that loud sound you voiced out in the past when I was trying to sleep in?" She remembered the past when there were only her and Kuro as she smiled.

It was truly one of the memories she had in her life. Of course, her present life is fun. It's just the past were much more unique—she somehow miss that past.

"You-you're talking about Kaen (Fire)?, ye-yes but it's not that." Kuro gulped his saliva as he nervously diverted the facts.

At he same time—he was also feeling nostalgic about it.

"What I want to introduce to you is a different genre in music!" Kuro calmed his tone down.

"Different genres? Is it like the manga if yours?" Ayame tilted her head in confusion.

"Yes, something similar to that. Kaen (Fire) is an aggressive song with abnormal high pitch (and loud). While what I want to introduce to you is…

also one of the song I sang for you in the past—Chiisana Koi no Uta."

"Ah! That song! I vaguely remembers it! Listening to that, feels so good for some reason." Music weren't developed in Virturan.

At best—some bards singing the epics of an renowned heroes exists.

"Yes. Yes. I made divided them inside me and I call a song like that as [Love Song]. Except that—there's many categories in my head such as…

[Idol Song] (<- Example: Fansa),

[Depression Song] (<- Example: Happppy Song),

[Humanly Impossible Song] (<-mostly vocaloid Example: Disappearances of Hatsune Miku),

Etc…"

Kuro had more such as [Anime Song] but there's really no point in mentioning it as anime doesn't even exists yet.

"Ohhhh."

*clap* *clap* *clap*

Ayame applause with her tiny palm as she more or less got it. Basically: Kuro meant that song weren't one things.

Like an strength-based sword arts exists at the same time agility-based one exists—song were also the similar.

That's how she interpreted it.

"That's not all! Ayame-chan, do you know why I brought you to this room?" Kuro said as he secretly locked the door.

"Is it that huge cloth covering something huge?" Ayame pointed out the huge 'thing' at the middle of room.

"Well found out!" As the doors was locked—the runes spreads from the doorknob to the entire room before turning invisible once again.

[Anti Sound]

As well, Kuro finally got rid of the cloth covering the huge 'thing' as…

Piano appeared.

However to Ayame—this instrument were something very foreign, she didn't even know what it can do.

"Sit here." Kuro sat on the long chairs as he patted down the empty space in front of him.

Nodding to him, Ayame sat by the side of him.

Whilst still enthralled by the strange devices in front of her, she hadn't noticed the magic she was cost to through Kuro's rune writing.

As the rune were on the chairs, Kuro were also affected by that magic but it's not of a big problem.

The piano in front of him weren't bought store or sorts, it is the only—the first piano ever existed in this world.

'Hmm… the keyboard's not too heavy—nothing too resistant when pressing'.

*ting♪*

Beautiful sound echoed through the entire room as it was absorbed by the magic of room—this meant no matter how loud he played, not to mention Korone, not even Okayu will wake up.

"Uwaaah~♡ the sound is so beautiful!" Ayame's eyes shone brightly.

Under the rune writing in their chair—the magic casted on the two—Every time Kuro pressed the keyboards, by the amount of time he pressed—it turned into a beautiful light trails.

'Alright the additional visual effect is working well.'

"Do you remember the lyrics? I have a paper of it… do you want it?" Kuro asked her.

In contrast, Ayame shook her head. "No need! I remembered it."

Nodding to her, Kuro smiled peacefully as his hand danced on the top of piano keyboard.

Sweet and lovely melody started playing out slowly as baited in by Kuro's smile, Ayame's mouth began to widen in side.

""[Hiroi uchuu no kazu aru hitotsu…♪]""

The startup were perfect as Kuro and Ayame's voice over-layed with each other. One had the impression of cold-foreign sound and the other were warm-calming sound.

Each sounds brought the completely opposite impressions however in actuality—the two's synchronicity were better than those of experienced orchestras' performance.

The cold voice were supporting the warm voice in the darkness while the warm voices were calming the cold voice.

As the notes on piano became higher—Kuro and Ayame sang in even higher pitches—however how strange. Despite the difficulties, not a trace of of the two's synchronicity breaking.

The person who is important to you is right beside you… I just want this echoing love song to reach only you…

Kuro began to became more and more immersed in the song itself as he sang while playing the piano while thinking about the song.

The current him couldn't understand this song and despite so, he still felt that this song were amazing and were magically attracting him.

""[Hibike koi no Uta…]"". Along with the final notes, two voices supporting each others came to end as the two were taken back to their reality.

Singing took some points of stamina as they were more immersed than it should usually have been—when they notices it, they were sweating and Ayame wasn't excluded.

*thump* *thump*

Just as Ayame thought of taking the towel nearby and giving it to Kuro—she noticed that her heart were beating hard from "fatigue.'

To make it worse, this beating of heart increased even more as she looked at Kuro only until did she notices that she couldn't look directly at his eyes.

When she noticed it, her body instinctively stood up from the chair as she ran away from the spot—strange enough, she was afraid that he'd notice her reddened face, she put an extra effort to hide her face with her back.

"Gotta hurry…" From Kuro's mouth—in contrast to his brain thinking over the meaning of lyrics on the song they sang—completely unrelated words were blurted out.

As well cancelling Kuro out from his deep thought.

"Hm? Hurry? On what?" Finally did Kuro noticed that the taken space next to him were emptied now.
