Grand Performance - The Darkest Night

"How is the progress going with, Era? Kuro faced the leader of the A.I research unit. Despite his youngish age and his tone of speaking to 'someone' equal, Era were quite respectful.

"Sir, most of the coding, including the rune coding has been completed—all we require so far is to test-play the A.I to increase it's intelligence."

"It is also possible to add the laws onto the A.I as sir have mentioned before, now." Era delighted in excitement as he started predicting on what kind of rule his CEO would give to their creations.

Era was one of the kid in those 'slum' district, slightly young but older tha. kuro, he was about 18 years old. Despite being in slum, he loved reading books and attaining knowledge.

Kuro recruited him despite many companies were unwilling of hiring him because of his outer-look and where he came from.

Kuro who treated everyone equally, of course find this rather a heaven-sent cha-… he didn't believe in those deities-thing but whatever, he felt lucky.

"Understood, sir." Era lead him as he opened the button, the door of elevator opened.

This elevator, were one of Kuro's marvellous ideas given to him. Just from this modern-mechanic made Era felt amazed for Kuro and would be willing of following him.

After which the gravity slightly shifted from the drop of elevator, the door opened as completely different scenery opened up before Kuro.

Huge machines were lined up as from the monitor, code flowed up. From the center of these machine were laid an small chip.

Small chip contained with boundless capacity for intelligence—powered by electric and mana, it's learning abilities could almost match the comprehension abilities of the adults'.

"Welcome, Boss. May I, hear Your, Order." Metallic voice sounded out from the surrounding machine as the chip slightly emitted a streaks of mana.

"Stop calling me boss. I don't like it."

"I am Sorry, I Don't understand The Problem." Of course, the A.I's intelligence weren't perfect.

"Call me Mino-… Mob Chara-… that's too long… Call me Mob." Kuro pondered for a while until finally have he decided his 203,275,291st nickname.

"Welcome, Mob. Your Orders, please."

Nodding to its speech calmly, Kuro got to the point as the current intelligence of the A.I right now, was impossible for communication.

"From now on, your name is Nero. I will be setting you a few law which you are absolutely not allowed to break.

First Law:

A robot may absolutely obey his master; Kuro's orders by any means. Unless the situation where the given order were to conflict with the second law, by then, the robots are allowed to sent out his own opinion to persuade his master. However in the end, it must follows its master's orders.

Second Law:

A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

Third Law

A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings given the right to, except where such orders would conflict with the Second Law—or such orders given by doesn't have the right to.

Fourth Law

A robot may absolutely not dive into the conception called internet unless his master gave him the permissions to.

If the master's order related to internet were not to be sent within 5 hours, its access about 'internet' should be terminated.

Five Law:

A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Sixth Law:

A robot may not look for the loophole in the absolute laws.

The law importance is said in order, the first law had the highest importance while the last one had the lowest importance.

Kuro were also considering of changing the fourth law in the future. After all, human is far too rotten. As an final resort, he added the sixth law, but despite so, he was still worried that this A.I, no,

Nero may found a way to bring harm to them. After all, the more Kuro got richer, more technically advanced, more powerful he get, the more powerful Nero may be.

To prevent Nero from rotting in first of all, Kuro will just break the fourth law and change it. But for now, he'll look at how it will turns out.

In worst case, Kuro will just ask Maou to destroy everything he built.

Although the current intelligence Nero had couldn't understand the law Kuro mentioned for now, Kuro's law will be engraved into its deepest core as it will reminds it.

It took a while for Kuro to answer for his employees' question and sorts. In the end, he decided to pay the entire unit a bonus for their great work today.

Like that, a week has passed as the day has finally come—as well as the huge stage came upon, so Kuro's nervousness increased.

The humans, spirit, demons, dwarf, elves. Every single creatures within the 5km radius of [Black] Company's building looked toward the building as the center.

[1] The light play around here became even more flashy and magnificent. The light acted as if absorbing the darkness of planet as word [Black] appeared.

[0] Once the countdown came to it's end, the word [Black] exploded spreading apart only until the darkness stopped, before it was absorbed by something else.

Once the darkness were absorbed by strange entity, it formed a humanly silhouette, sitting in a the chair while his finger danced around the piano keys.

From his humanly silhouette, the darkness flew upward like a mist as it dissipated in the air. It looked cool and mysterious as this unknown entity played the piano.

It surely enticed every single person near the building, even the person who woke up because of the noise couldn't bother getting angry as the piano were too beautiful.

Meanwhile, the spirit of vocal were charmed by this beautiful sounds as her brain were on cloud-nine, she felt free, flying in the sky…

In fact, she were really flying in the sky. But no one bothered her as they were too focused on this mysterious performance of this dark entity.

"The darkest night has just began."
