"Hey Kuru! you infected your little brother." Oujian knocked down the approaching zombies with hard efforts.
Far beyond him amongst the horde of zombies were the familiar face; Kushu, his former crew member.
"Him? He'll deal with it himself." Despite Oujian's call, Kuru responded rather bland, as if he didn't care what his power is about to do to his only brother.
"You idiot, isn't Kushu your only relative? Both of us know how dangerous the Zona Infection do to your body! If its completely infect your every single mana, you will have no way to resist zombification and permanently remain as zo-"
"So what? Everyone here is given the equal or bountiful rewards! I should subside his zombification just because he is my only brother? Ridiculous."
"Oujian, don't you ever undervalue the weight of wealth." The Sin of Greed finished his sentence and that was the sign of all-out clash between him and Oujian.
The friendly atmosphere between two has dissipated into void, causing Kuro to understand how big of a rival these two was.
Something about this Sin of Greed didn't fit with Kuro's ideology despite the resemblances in name.
'Wealth is heavier than the relationship?'
'So if it were for the sake of the rewards, you would not hesitate to betray your brother even if he is the only relationship you have?' Kuro silently feels the surrounding Zona affecting his Origin Mana.
'I knew it, this guy is stupid,' the feeling of unfamiliar being inside his body and the least possibility of losing control of his body honestly scared Kuro.
However, more than that, Kuro was angry.
'It's because a guy like you exists that Led had to die.'
Fighting over his control with the body, Kuro gathered his Origin Mana into one spot.
'It's because this world is filled with people like you that I'm always scared that I may lose someone again.'
With great effort, Kuro's Origin Mana has stopped at one point—in his fingertip.
Confirming that every single mana inside his body compressed in one spot, including Zona, Kuro pointed his finger toward Kuru.
In a matter of instance, the black streak of light launched toward the average-looking man with great speed and grazed his cheeks as he dodged it.
Nonetheless, despite dodging Kuro's surprise attack, Kuru's cheek still bleeds as a small scar formed in it.
Although Kuro could never possibly get to Kuru's level right now, Kuro's attack was the purest method of offense as the direct energy that moves objects crashes with a physical object.
At the same time, Kuro felt his mana pool empty meaning that he can't use any dark magic at s current state.
Taking this short time while Oujian and Kuru was dumbfounded, Kuro asked Oujian. "Oujian, use that Haoshoku Haki or whatever it is called to knock down these zombies!"
Oujian quickly recovered as he answered back. "I can't! My [Ambition's Summit] knocks down the 'living beings' itself."
"If I use it against the half-infected zombies, I can stop their movement but the humans inside will be unable to fight back against the Zona infecting them, creating the full zombies," Oujian explained the flaw of his character.
"I hate to admit it but, this ability is truly troublesome," Oujian said.
"Right? It's worth the trouble of killing the mayor of the Umbrella Empire. Although I couldn't use it 2 years ago because it was in [Ability Eating] process, I am glad to show you this new move of mine." Kuru exclaimed.
Despite his thoughtful flashback foretelling, he was ignored, "then let's send them off."
Kuro believed that if these people were sent to somewhere far between the Zona Infection emitter (Kuru), the infection would slow giving these guys the time to meditate mana.
And Kuro had the method perfectly fit for sending people off. In the next instance, portals appeared below every zombie inside Kuro's Ki Sense radar.
The zombies couldn't react in time to the sudden loss of footing.
"Be careful of your surrounding space. We're unexpectedly fighting against the spatial esper." When Kuru commanded his hordes of zombies, only half were left and Kuro's portal continued to appear.
Kuro tried sending off Kuru with his portal as well but the spatial portal was kicked... That's right kicked. Till now, Kuro didn't even know that you can move spatial energy with your physical limb.
Figuring out the situation, Oujian moved and at the same time he did, Kuru did as well.
Oujian tried helping Kuro to push the zombies to the portal he made but what Kuru did was interfere with him because Oujian was also keeping Kuru to approach from Kuro.
Midst his conflict against Kuru, Oujian seems to push his scarlet-colored arm to nothing but a foreign energy between Mana and Ki traveling toward the zombie, pushing them off to portals.
"Aaaaaarghhh! Your Ambitionist Technique!" Kuru exclaimed angrily as he could do nothing to stop Oujian's invisible energy.
As Kuro couldn't figure out what that was, he sorted it out as a combat technique for the citizens of Treasure Vantage.
"You could do the same or even more if you honed your Greed Technique. But what did you do, steal someone's skill!" Oujian calmly lectured Kuru as the last zombie was pushed toward the portal.
Toward Oujian's words, Kuro felt ashamed because like Kuru, [Water] [Spatial Control], [Darkness], nothing came from him.
Even [Darkness]—which has the convenient ability to take someone's ability—came 'with' him. Even until now, he doesn't know who the owner of such ability, 'Zero' was.
'Hone a single ability huh...' Kuro seriously considered this quote as he sat on the ground due to stamina loss.
Then, he continued observing the fights between Oujian and Kuru.
Oujian'a ability was insanely amazing. There's no Ki Sense involved with him but Oujian has no death spot. 360 degrees, wherever the attacks come from, he dealt with it.
At the same time, it's as if Oujian can see 10 seconds in the future.
At the moment right now, through the power of illusions, Kuru summons 8 clones of himself attacking in all directions but Oujian lets the attack of illusion pass him while defending from the real one with a pistol.
Just as Oujian seemed to be winning, Kuru's movement became faster... No, Oujian's movement became so slow that Kuru seemed to accelerate.
As Kuru's arm turned golden and he proceeds to attack, Oujian tries to manifest his hand with [Ambition] but it fails.
As if punished for daring to defend itself against a will-manifested blow with nothing but flesh, Kuru's golden claw pierce through Oujian's bare arm and struck through his heart.
"A single major technique isn't enough, Oujian. Quality alone, can't win against quantity." saying so, Kuru has drawn his hand out from inside Oujian.
In Kuru's eyes, there was no joy, nor was there sadness. It was perfectly tranquil, lest, it was even calmer than when he was fighting Oujian.
With a stable emotionless voice, "the next is you, mana favored, nakiri town came-from, spatial kid."
