Chapter 3 "Unknown emotions "

My thoughts drifted back to the golden eyed boy, my curiosity was at it pique "Um Ria, can I ask you something?" she rolled over facing me, her chin resting on her hands. "You can ask me anything Eli" I started to bite my words inside my throat. Should I really I care about him? No! not caring! I was curious, just curious! "Um....so....the guys that came with Mercedes, who are they?" she smiled at my actions "Aah! the ones that came this morning?" I nodded at her lika a rattle "They are from rich families in town, born with silver spoon in their mouth" she stood up coming towards me and sat near me. "They are vampires" She added making my eyes enlarge. Vampires! What was going on? I must say they are so good looking, I was surprised at their presence in this college. "So vampires are in this academy too? I thought it was werewolves only" she chuckled, shookikh her head. "Who told you that? You really didn't know?" I shook my head "Well my sensing abilities are not functioning yet."  She became thoughtful before she spoke again "You see our academy is connected to supernatural beliefs, so vampires and werewolves are living within  this academy" she moved and  whispered to my ears "Actually, I am a vampire as well" I was shocked and started to cough, she ran to the table and gave me a glass of water, she then sat stroking my back. "I'm sorry, you must be shocked" I gulped down the whole glass,  I was shocked that she was one too because from what I remember I was told they are my enemies, but RIA... she looks nothing like harm to me.

I gave her the glass and she went to place it back on the table, I rubbed my mouth with the back of my hand. "How is it that you know too much?" I said when I finally calmed down, she laughed "I am not stupid to always carry around books you know, I also do online researches, best at it actually. That is why I score first place in history always" I was feeling proud for her, was it crazy? "Aah, I see" she yawned while talking "I am gonna go to sleep now Elina, goodnight." she switched off her table lamp before she went to sleep, she didn't even change. "Good night, Ria" I went to change into my pyjamas before going to sleep too.

A bell was ringing nonstop again, indicating something I was sure of. I just didn't know what it was this time. I sat up, my eyes closed as I yawned, when I opened them I found Ria standing before my face. I moved back startled by her. She laughed out loud "Oh man I am sorry, I must've scared you again" I frowned "You gonna kill me next time, better not do that again" she held her ear lobes with the tips of her fingers "I won't, sorry" I couldn't help but to smile at her pouting "Ok" she went to put her shoes on "Girl you sleep too much, get up and wash up. We'll meet at the cafeteria, okay?" she uttered, "Ok, bye" I replied, waving my hand to her as she picked up her phone "Bye" she head out. 

I went to wash up and changed into a black mini skirt and a top. I really love mini skirts. I held my black hair up into a ponytail, put on my boots before heading out to the cafeteria. On my way there, the students were staring at me as they chatted,  I didn't pay much attention to them. I increased my speed and finally reached,  I found her chatting and laughing with a certain boy. I walked straight to pick up something to eat first, I took chicken soup this time before I went to sit beside them. The two stopped chatting once I arrived, the boy looked at me from head to toe as if I was some delicious food to eat. Ria gave him a soft slap on his shoulder "Stop it you!" he smiled mischievously "Ria you are such a bad friend. You never mentioned to me that you had a very beautiful girlfriend" she shook her head and I just smiled.

Boys are always boys! "By the way Elina, this is Richard and Richard meet Elina" we shook hands, he placed a kiss on my palm, I blushed. Ria noticed how uncomfortable I was with him "Richard let her hand go! and you better leave now" he frowned. She gave him a glare, her eyes turning red. "Okay! okay chill, nice to meet you, Elina" he went away and I finally moved my hands to eat. "Don't pay too much attention to him he is a dick! He is a red flag, can't zip up his pants at all!" I couldn't hold a laugh. Ria was a straightforward person and blunt, I was slowly learning about her.  We finished to eat, a bell rang but this time it rang three times, she got up. "Let's go girl, it's an assembly bell" I got up following her lead. We walked to a very big ground and saw that man from yesterday, standing on a stage with a microphone on his hand. Lots of students gathered around including the rich gang. Well, everything about them screams of wealthy.

He cleared his throat "Hello everyone! you must have spent your vacation well and to those who are new here, you are welcomed at Frost Academy ' the students clapped, he continued when everyone became silent again. "We will be starting new programs and I hope you'll do your best this time too and make this Academy the proudest. We have our complete faith in all of you, please don't let us down. And if you are stuck with anything, don't hesitate to consult your tutors or even me, please feel free to. You may head to your classrooms now to start a new chapter, let's all go ahead and pour our stories" they clapped again before dispersing. Ria held my hand, leading me along as usual as if I was blind, I kind of liked it, she made me feel safe and free like a bird. "Thank god were doing same programs" we entered into a big class, all seats were full except for the two at the end. We made our way there and settled down. I turned my head to the right, that boy with golden eyes was sitting right besides me and the two rich girls at the front seats,  he turned to look at my side and quickly lowered my eyes blushing. Man his face was blank but very handsome and that long sharp nose, thin lips, curved cheek bones, golden eyes and brown brows with blonde hair that compliments his look he was breathtakingly shiny! Making me feel weak. What was this?.

Ria pulled back my attention "Elina! meet Kim, she is a friend" she moved to my ears and whispered "She is a wolf" I shook hands with her, she was Asian just by her look. A tutor then entered and hit the podium with a book in his hand, pulling everyone's attention to him "Hello, students" we answered in unison "Hello, sir!" he smiled "I am Mr Robert, I will be your science teacher. Now I want you to put your books on the table and open chapter 32, hurry now" We all opened our books and did as he said. When the lesson ended he walked away "That will be it for today". The students carried on with noisy chats like some high-school kids, I needed to use a washroom. "Ria, I'll be back" she nodded and continued to chat with Kim. I walked around looking for it and finally found it, I rushed in and relieved myself when I was on my way out. I accidentally bumped into one of the rich girls, Shit! "I am sorry" I said and was about to leave but the other rich girl blocked my way. "Where to bitch?" I stood in between them "How dare you touch me?" she uttered with anger, that one that I've bumped into. I looked at her "It was an accident and I already said that I am sorry" she slapped right through my face, no one has ever done that before, no one.  I was enraged and they laughed at my reaction "Look at her face, she looked so little, just like a kitty" I was boiling inside but I was afraid to cause any trouble so I pushed the girls that blocked the way and ran to the class. RIA noticed one of my cheeks was red "Are you ok Elina?" I noddede, lying to her. I came here running away from my problems but it seems like problems and I are twins, inseparable.

The girl got up with a frown "I'll definitely show that girl who I really am" she swore in anger. The second program was about Environmental issues, the tutor took us to the woods and told us  to stand in pairs and bring him a documentary about the plants in the woods. Luckily I got my dear Ria as a partner, the heavens were on my side. We ntered the woods and noted down every important thing in our notepads. We came across many different types of plants, some were beautifully grown and soke creepy. Little did I know the rich girls were after me this whole time, we roamed around for a while, accidentally Ria dropped her hand phone so we decided to part ways to look for it.

I walked around and came across violet flowers they were beautiful, their shades from the light lilac to deep violet made them look breathtaking and it's soft powdery and romantic smell made me froze at the spot for a minute. I suddenly felt something fast passed behind my back, I turned curiously but there was nothing, it passed again at the front pulling my attention. Okay, it was dangerous to keep on standing there, I can't keep staying there, just not with those danger signs. I couldn't control my nervous system and started to run off like a mad girl, it followed me in speed and landed before me, I gasped. It was the rich girl that I pushed at the washroom, she chuckled at my reaction "Huh! look who is scared now?" I moved back slowly when I saw her fangs elongating,  my heart skipped a beat, the next thing I remember was getting hit by a heavy object from behind, I turned my head to find it was the other rich girl.

The two teamed up ready to kill me, I fell down to my knees, screaming in pain "Ah!" blood started to pour out of my head, I could feel it trickling down like waterfall, shocking me. They started to act weird, they closed their eyes and sniffed "Mmm...she smells yummy, Serena" she nodded "Yes Jessica, she does and I can't wait to eat her up"  my body started to run  out of energy and my eyelids they were getting heavy,  they lifted up their claws to attack me, I closed my eyes waiting for it. But it didn't come, the next thing I heard was groans from the girls "What are you doing Daniel? she is ours!" I opened my eyes and saw his back.

"Shut it!" he pushed them away from me, he's voice horsed, Serena stood up in utter anger. "What do think you are doing you weakling?" I was surprised, how is he weak when he threw them both at same time. He roared "You don't wanna cause troubles again do you?" they were enraged at him "Well here's the thing, she did us wrong, were are going to kill her and you wouldn't dare to stop us!" he chuckled "That is not the only way with us and you know it" he turned to look at me "I can teach her a good lesson, you don't have to kill her" they furiously looked down at me, if looks could kill then I would've been dead by now with their cold stares. "We'll get back to you bitch! Were not done" said the so-called Serena before they vanished. 

He was about to leave. I grabbed him by his leg making him stop, he turned and knelt down. Once our eyes met I felt this undefined emotions and feelings, I blurted "W...who are you?" before I lost consciousness.

I woke up at my dorm with Ria beside me, she exhaled once she saw me opening my eyes "Oh thank god you are fine, I was worried to death!" I blinked at her with a slight smile, she frowned "How could you smile at such a time? Who did this to you?" my thoughts drifted back to the scene, why he didn't harm me as he promised the girls.? She hugged me pulling my attention back "I am sorry, Elina" I stroked her back "I am fine, Ria" I should be the one getting consoled here. She pulled back wiping off her tears. I was about to sit up but felt pain on my head when I touched the bandage wrapped around it "You didn't fall down hard I guess because it's not a deep wound, it will heal in days"  Ria uttered, laying me down slowly.

The next day Ria went to class leaving me to rest. I couldn't go. My head was still in pain so I stayed behind. Just when Ria sat down Kim turned to her "Hey I heard what happened to Elina, is she okay?" she nodded "Mmm, she is fine don't worry" Daniel got up and left before the class even began.

I picked up one of Ria's books. It was about vampires and I learned about their abilities. They were fast and strong but compared to us Werewolves, we were faster and stronger. Wind blew in and I shortly started feeling some strange aura when I lifted up my head. It was him, Daniel. He was standing by the window but what is he doing here staring at me with his alluring eyes?. Shouldn't he be in the class now?.
