Chapter 38

Sarah is sitting on the stage floor when the lights suddenly went out. She was startled at first but as an experienced performer, she always follows the saying that the show must go on.

Thankfully, the lapel is working and she was able to say her lines. She skipped some parts where she has to say something to the other character.

As the main character of the show Clementine, she delivered her speech with sadness and sorrow. At the end of the show, she will die because of depression after all the success and the last part is all the characters will come together and sing a sad song.

While in the middle of delivering her oration, she was thinking if she needs to transfer school.

How come there is a malfunction like this in the middle of the spectacle? This is a disgrace. She thinks. But she liked the people here and the teachings in this school are okay, she has to make a comparison and think about it.

She is also thinking about what to do if the lights are still not back on, does she have to make her own dialogue until they can fix it? but she is unsure how long it will take. Does she have to pretend to die immediately and end the show? That would be unpleasant and disappointing to the audience who watched the show till the very end.

What are they doing backstage?

Sarah has all sorts of thinking and questioning in her mind.

Oh well, let them be, once her speech has ended, so be it. It's not her fault if this turned out to be appalling.

When she is done in her dialogue, she stood and lay down on the floor as per what they have practiced.

She would pause and she would be supposed for them to draw the curtains but, No They Did Not.

What comes after is an unfamiliar piano song.

so they resort to this kind of solution until they fix the lights? Well, she just laid down there and closed her eyes and just planned to listen to the music when the melody got deeper and deeper, slower and faster after a minute.

She opened her eyes and sat from her spot, what a pretty melody!

It was going intense! The intensity made her body move! She is shocked,

It's a tune full of emotion and

She wants to dance!

She wants to sway and follow the music, Oh my Oh my

She wasn't able to resist the urge of a dancer and her mind may deny but her body was itching to move. She felt a familiar passion rising in her and in the end, she followed her body.

Maria was immersed in Elisia when she noticed a figure moving on the stage as she was the closest to it.

She saw Sarah is dancing!

She quickly went and whisper to Yale what she saw.

'Quickly! check if the spotlight is working! find more batteries.' Yale yelled which startled everyone.

Elisia's spell was broken by Yale's loud voice. They want to stay put and listen to the music but they have no choice because they have to follow the director.

'Found one, this is working!' one of the peers said.

'What do you need it for?' Sir Michael asks.

Yale didn't answer and just looked at the stage.

Suddenly from the audience, they were surprised to see a beam of light directing to a lonesome figure. They all saw Sarah who was dancing very beautifully and they were charmed.
