Chapter 44

I woke up feeling terrible.

I slowly open my eyes and found out that I'm lying in a bed. I looked around in the very well-lighted room. It looks so spacious and neat. This room is just as I remember back then.

There are five more single beds in this room. by the picture of the human organs on the white wall, you can tell immediately that this is the school clinic.

I wonder why I do not see anyone around. Being at this place, I thought that the first person I'll see is that man, I guess not, he's not here. I wonder how is he?

I looked outside and I saw the sky. It is not as bright as it would be. There is quite a shade of dark clouds which is a sign of rain.

I looked at the ticking clock on the white wall and saw that it's quarter to five. I think I slept for half an hour.

I tried to get down from the bed but my sudden move made my head throb. I touched my head and found out it was bandaged. Because of it, I made sure to be careful in my next actions.

I got up and then I noticed that the wrist band in my wrist was not there, I also saw that I have multiple plasters in my elbow and the back of my arms. I might have gotten it by the fall earlier.

I looked around and I found my wrist band on the wooden table not far. I walked there slowly and put it on my wrist again to hide the purple marks. I walk very slowly and went out of the clinic.

Since the classes just finish not too long ago, I saw students walking in the hallway. I received some weird look from them and they would whisper...

Maybe because of the bandage in my head? I was thinking but I heard some of them, really, why bother whispering?

'Hey, That's Elisia'

'Omg, that's her?!'

Then as I walk on, I passed by a group of three people in the hallway gossiping while giving the weird look again.

'She's the troublemaker.'

'I heard all of Class A is at the dean's office because of her.'

'Yeah. It's all over the school's webpage.'

I paused and looked back at them. They quickly avoided staring at me. They looked like little kittens that have been caught stealing fish.

I see. so they are all at the deans. No wonder I saw no one.

I continued to my destination and ignore the stares. I went not in our classroom nor to the dean's office but to the computer room which is my original goal.

When I open the door, It is a bit dark and there are only a few people inside. I went in and close the door. I went to the very corner of the room and sat in front of the computer. I pushed the button to turn it on. It's funny that the old computers make a bit of sound while it's turning on. There are gonna be loads of leveling and improvement in the technology in the near future. I have to make sure that I take advantage of it.

When the computer is on,

I did my magic that will ruin everything.

Once I was done with my work, I erased everything that may leave a track and once I finished, I turned the computer off. That took me less than half an hour.

I got up and left the room. When I'm walking going back to the classroom, I saw my classmates.

Some of them look a total mess

'Hi guys, I was looking for all of you, where have you been?' I asked obviously lying but I was suddenly rooted on the spot when Maria came running to me and hug me.

'But we were also looking for you, you are not in the clinic.' Maria said.

I saw Alex in front who I first saw with a worried expression on his handsome face but when he saw me, the stiff expression became soft.

I looked at everyone, They all look dirty and a disaster but there was no sadness or no one is upset, rather, I saw how proud they were.

'Elisia, how's your head?' Some of my classmates asked.

I smiled at them.

'It's all well now, thanks.'

'Come, Elisia, the rest are waiting in the classroom!.' Maria said and we walk going back while all of us are being the center of attraction as we walk.
