I'm Not Welcomed

Maria calmly walked around Sternbild as she tried to calm down. Fans stopped her here and there to get an autograph or to start a short talk with her. Other than that, no one really cared for her anymore. She kept silent, just wanting the final concert to be here. No one really wanted her there and no one sold cards about Fate. She just simply became a colour dulled down to blend in a crowd of grey. She would have killed to have this happen, but she didn't want it at this moment.

There were some people whispering about her, saying how they wondered why she was even alive. She tried to ignore them all, but it was hard when everything just surrounded her and echoed through the streets. She figured that she could disappear after the concert and that she wouldn't have to worry about anything ever again, especially since Nathan never really talked to her anymore. Either did Ivan, Antonio, or Keith. They haven't said much since the spats of the others all those weeks ago. The only people to talk to her were Yuri and Kaede.

Kaede tried her hardest to get the heroes to forgive her, but they didn't seem to listen to what Fate had to say or even why she was there, to begin with. Yuri checked in on her daily to try and get her to talk or eat. Hell, do anything to make her not be so down or depressed. "He never gave up and Kaede isn't going to either… but someone tells me… why am I of all people… giving up?" she spoke to no one in particular.

Ivan was following her since he was curious as to what she was doing after seeing her appearance and how heartbroken she was when no one really said anything. He walked up to her and grabbed her arm, causing the female to jump and turn around suddenly. She was shaking in fear that he had never seen. "Calm down, Maria. Please. Calm down."

She looked at him and slowly calmed down, looking away. "…Why…?"

He raised an eyebrow at her.

"Why would you follow after me…? Why not say something after Barnaby said that…? Why?"

"Because… even if he is a jerk, I still have all rights to be able to find someone I care for. I also know that if anyone spoke then Barnaby would say something worse to you. Finally…" he paused and made her look at his eyes. "You are welcomed here. Trust me…"

Maria frowned as she grabbed his arm and made her way to her home. Ivan had told Nathan beforehand that he was going to talk to her and that it would probably be best if he came along if possible. Antonio, Kaede, and Keith overheard this and decided that they were going to follow the group. They knew they messed up and they wanted to try and make things right.

Maria opened the door to her home and she walked to the couch after letting go of Ivan's hand. She sat down as a small cat walked to her and sat on her lap. Ivan walked to the couch and sat down beside her, Nathan soon coming in. A few minutes later a trio came in and sat down with them.

Maria stared at the group with her and she just started to cry, but it wasn't out of sadness or pain. It was because some of the heroes actually cared about her and wanted to make sure she was alright.

Even if it was for a few days, they all stayed with her to make sure she actually slept and was taken care of. They didn't want her collapsing for her concert, so they babied her. In the end, they were proud because she had a more olive skin-tone and her face was brighter. Granted she didn't weigh much, but she clearly felt better.

Maria smiled at the group and gave them a huge hug as she took a breath. "I guess it's time for the final concert."

They all looked at her and nodded. "Let's go then" Nathan spoke up, smiling.
