"You'll be staying here for two months and after that, you can leave this hospital and be discharged discreetly. I'll be sending you to B City's countryside where my small villa is located. You'll be living there from then on. I'll visit when I can, but never ever leave the villa. Some people will be there to watch you for me. Understood?"
"Wait—What? Why?" Elyx couldn't help the rebelling tone in his voice, he was pretty disturbed by the fact that Aashray is sending him off, far, far away from this city.
B City is three cities away, and Aashray is gonna lock him up like some sort of a livestock or a pet, which will hinder Elyx's plan on getting back to his original family.
"You still don't understand?"
Aashray glared at Elyx, thinking in his mind; Could lying in the hospital for two years messed his mind completely? Is he really having amnesia? I consulted with the doctor because he was acting very odd, but I never really thought deeply about it.
"Do you really not remember anything?"
Elyx pursed his lips, calculating what the proper answer he should reply Aashray with. A single mistake could blow his cover off—though Aashray doesn't seem to be that type of smart person who would immediately notice out of ordinary, it's better to be careful.
It's better to be careful, since he still doesn't know the situation completely. There's also a lot of things he wanted to confirm about his car accident, and he certainly couldn't afford to blow his cover off—at least for now.
"I don't remember many things, but I do remember something about myself...for example, my family history."
There's a glint that flashed in Aashray's deep raven eyes, but it disappeared as quickly as it appeared. He weigh down Elyx's response, as if there's a fierce fight inside his head, whether to believe Elyx or not.
"Are you saying the truth? There's no use lying, I tell you—the result will eventually come out, and we'll both know."
"I'm not lying." There's some truth with Elyx's words. He actually doesn't know anything about Rem except from that brief nightmarish recollection he had in his unconscious state. Putting himself in Rem's body, it would be similar to being amnesiac, doesn't it? Maybe selective amnesia?
"We'll see," Aashray ended the conversation with a low voice. He turned away from Elyx, and silence prevailed in the room.
The latter was flustered, very astonished by the fact that Aashray was actually a very quiet person—completely in contrast to his performance earlier on.
As if he changed back into another person after a few hours of interacting with Elyx.
Because he had just woken up from two years of coma, it's already miraculous for Elyx to have been able to talk, or interact with others. Mostly patients like that are still immobile, and Elyx's case is making everyone both speechless and amazed.
However, Elyx is still a human being, and despite having the strength to converse with someone, he practically just escaped death, and was then dumped with the revelation that he's dead and transmigrated into Rem's body—he was very exhausted down to his core. He was physically, mentally, and emotionally drained.
Elyx soon fell asleep as he drifted into his deep thoughts. When his even breathing was heard, the silent Aashray slowly turned towards him, observing his emaciated and pale face with red eyes.
"Sigh, I honestly don't know what to do with you." He murmured softly, closing his eyes while hiding his own exhaustion with them.
Within these two years of maintaining Rem's life wasn't always been easy for Aashray. He had to put him in a small and shabby hospital just to protect his life away from those who desire to erase it—while also preventing him from dying because of the lack of equipment and necessities of the hospital.
Rem should've become a vegetable after two years of coma, however it seems that he's mobile the moment he woke up. It's weird, because something like this should be looked over. It certainly surprised the doctors, especially Doc. Rebecca. However, she hid her surprise pretty well and carried out Aashray's orders efficiently.
Adding the fact that Rem doesn't remember anything than his family history, as he claimed. Aashray couldn't sit still.
He is not very well-versed within the medical field—he's not a smart cookie after all, but he got common sense and knew something wasn't right.
He just has to know it, since Rem wouldn't be able to run off for some time unless he had completely recovered.
To be honest, the hopes for Rem's recovery were very slim from the very start. There's no promises made between him and Rem's doctor—all was surrendered to fate itself.
However, Aashray didn't give up for various reasons, and the most important reason is because Rem still owes him things he should pay for. Aashray can't let him off easily.
The young man stood up, stretched his body numb from sitting in the same manner for a long time. He yawned and took his phone right out of his pocket.
He surfed the intxrnet and came across a trending news.

"𝗜'𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵. 𝗜'𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲."
Aashray's mind turned into a jumbled mess. He remembered Rem's declaration with that name, Elyx Ysmael. He gazed at Elyx with eyes full of confusion. Before he could even think deeper about it, his phone suddenly vibrated, someone's calling.
Capitalized MOM was written as the Caller's ID. When Aashray saw this, his left eyelid twitched.
"Sigh, the battle shall commence once again." He murmured and silently made his way out of the room.
