Chapter 5 : Sanctuary XI { Flashback }

"That's pretty cool."

Sirius comments, quite impressed by what Eliza had said though he did well not to show it.

"I know right..... It was actually what kept me from coming to see you for a while as I was practicing to get it right."

Eliza explains with a smile turning her face to meet Sirius, causing the young lad to feel a bit awkward.

"So you trained for three whole days to create a pocket dimension just so that you'd be able to talk to me."

Sirius asks a bit perplexed.

"Well kinda and also creating stuff is so much fun."

Eliza replies with a shrug.

"Why are you trying so hard to be friends with me, I mean I have serious issues, why would you want to be friends with a problem child like me."

Sirius asks under bated breath as he kept his hands busy with a twig.

"Well I won't say that you are a problem child just like that.

But I do realize that you have an issue that you need sorted out but that's not the reason I want to be friends with you."

Eliza explains.

"Then what's the reason??"

Sirius asks.

"Cause I'm just as lonely as you are."

Eliza replies catching Sirius off guard.

"That can't be true you are the nicest person I know, anyone would be lucky to have you as a friend."

Sirius says a bit surprised.

"Awwn, thanks… but that's not exactly right, my training is considered special and so I'm made to stay away from everyone else so I won't get distracted with petty things which includes making friends and having fun."

Eliza remarks.

"But that doesn't make any sense, you have been coming to see me, have you not??"

Sirius asks with a raised brow.

"Yeah I have because I normally sneak out during the later hours of my training.

That day that you crashed into me I felt an instant connection, you could say maybe it's my scripture but I feel like we really could become great friends."

Eliza remarks with a smile causing Sirius to turn red.

"You really are something else. Honestly I always wanted to play with the others but I never knew how to approach them due to some weird force holding me back, even when they came to me that same force made me feel superior.

I guess that force is the reason why I'm the problem child that I am today with no friends and nobody to talk to."

Sirius replies letting out a sigh. Eliza takes a long hard look at him before speaking up.

"Well you've got me now so you don't have to worry about being lonely ever again."

"That's a nice thought, maybe it could be true. The force that normally holds me back is actually pretty low here, I wonder why. Is it even a real thing or just a figment of my imagination."

Sirius ponders on his words while staring at the sky above

"Authority."

Eliza mutters.

"Huh."

Sirius stares blankly at Eliza.

"You are a dual scripture holder, right??"

Eliza asks with a casual expression.

"I think so. That's what Sister Rita said."

Sirius replies.

"I'm sorry but I asked the matron about your parents so I could better understand you and I think I know the force that's causing you to be so prideful."

Eliza remarks.

"What are you talking about??"

Sirius asks a bit confused.

"I mean that the force that used to hold you back is not a figment of your imagination but the way you describe isn't quite how it works."

Eliza replies causing Sirius to look even more confused.

"I'm confused, can you please explain what you mean with all that."

Sirius says while placing his right palm at the back of his head.

"Give me your hand."

Eliza takes a hold of Sirius right hand and looks deep into his eyes before finally speaking.

"…. One of the scriptures you hold would most likely have to do with Authority which was your mother's ability before she died.

An ability that works like commands basically from what the matron told me. When I asked her if your mother was the proud kind, the matron agreed that there were times when your mom would act all high and mighty before calming down the next minute. So from my deduction on your mom's ability and how scriptures work generally.

I'd say that the same scripture is within you and since you haven't been able to control it, it ends up controlling you causing you to be so proud even for your age."

Eliza explains.

"I didn't really understand everything that you said but if it's that way why is it not working here??... I mean that force should still be holding me back now."

Sirius asks still a bit confused.

"Well it should if this dimension wasn't fitted with power dampeners.

This was actually an experiment to find out if my deduction was right and apparently it was, you are Sirius at this point with no Authority controlling you."

Eliza replies.

"You really are a crazy person, you really are crazy…."

Tears begin to roll down Sirius's eyes as he finally gets emotional realizing what Eliza had actually done for his sake.

Eliza brings Sirius in closer and gives him a hug, placing his head at her bosom with her hands wrapped around him with Sirius sobbing silently.

Sirius opens his eyes later on and exhales calmly like a heavy weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

For a moment he felt like he had been dreaming about the pocket dimension and crying in front of a girl but he turned out to be sorely mistaken as he puts up his head and finds himself still in the forest like pocket dimension.

He turns his head slowly and sees Eliza fast at sleep with her arms wrapped around him. He tries to slip free but that only causes Eliza to wake up as she sees Sirius struggling to escape her hold.
