HELLSGATE : TALES OF A DIVINE WAR

"What can I do now??... Obviously the apostles would want to go after Eliza to try and rescue her even though they aren't sure if she's dead or alive.


                            A faint glimmer of hope is all they need and they would go on to the ends of the universe in search of her, but the energy they are still able to detect might just be a ruse by Satan and her forces to lure in our greatest assets and destroy them completely which is something we cannot allow.


                      But sending them after the Vulgate knowing that they would go in half heatedly due to Eliza's absence would also be foolish as they would end up still going after Eliza."


John remarks, tightening his fist as he did so before finally turning to face Kirei.


"That is quite a dilemma, your holiness. It would seem this situation is more complicated that we would like it to be."


Kirei replies with a complicated expression.


"It is very complicated and now I am at a loss of what to do."


John replies after which he takes his seat.


"Anyways for the time being be sure to keep the apostles under surveillance always, they shouldn't leave their quarters without escorts neither are they allowed to leave New Vatican without first informing me, am I clear??"


"Yes your holiness, I'll do that right away. A few guards have already been placed around the hostel as well as the fact that the hostel is fully wired with CCTV cameras but I have a question."


"Knowing who the apostles are and what they are capable of, if they really wanted to leave, would we be able to stop them??"


Kirei asks with the Pope chuckling slightly.


"It's not bad to take precautions, though I am hoping it doesn't get to the point of them actually breaking out. Anyways do not think too much about that and just focus on keeping an eye on the apostles, I'll feel more at ease that way, are we clear??"


John asks for affirmation with a calm but firm voice.


"I understand your holiness, I'll be sure to take care of everything. I'll be taking my leave now." 


Kirei announces as he takes a slight bow and makes to leave.


John says stopping the clergyman in his tracks.


"Make sure to be as discreet as possible about this. I do not want our greatest weapons knowing that we are spying on them, I hope you can understand that."


John remarks while wagging his finger in a stern manner.


"Of course, I'll be sure to keep everything a secret."


John  says, dismissing the clergyman with a wave of his hand.


Kirei takes a slight bow once again and leaves the office, closing the door as he left.


John once again rises to his feet and goes back to his view of the city.


John mutters to himself with a rather serious look on his face.
