Chapter 6 : Church of the Damned V { Flashback }

"Oh c'mon I thought you were different from the others… I guess I was wrong, you are just as scared and weak as the rest of the human race."

Baby scoffs in disgust.

"And I thought that your ambitions would be able to empower you to make the right choice, take him away."

Baby waves her hands with demons immediately coming to Klaus's side and dragging him away.

"No, no let me go. I won't die like this. I don't wanna die....."

Klaus yells in despair as he struggles to get away from the demons holding him.

"Oh really, you really don't want to die??"

Baby asks with a snicker.

"No, not yet anyways. I have a dream and until I fulfill that dream, I cannot die just yet."

Klaus remarks with a determined look on his face as sweat beads trickled down his face.

"My oh my, such determination."

Baby chuckles as she waves for the demon's dragging him away to leave him be.

"Do tell me Klaus, what is this great dream of yours that you are so determined to fulfill."

Baby asks with an sinister smile.

"What does it matter to you??"

Klaus asks with a serious expression on his face, trying to calm his nerves.

"I'm curious so do indulge me with this dream of yours, I might just spare your life."

Baby replies.

"Tch… my dream is to one day help the Church and all our loyalists reclaim the Earth after this war is over, to rebuild the planet and live in peace in a world where we can do as we like. That is my dream."

Klaus speaks with self righteousness resonating from his voice.

"My oh my, I am quite impressed but then how would you be able to fulfill such a lofty goal??.... Do you have any plans to bring your dreams to fruition."

Baby asks, enthralled by Klaus's words.

"If anything I know that the great leader Judas has the best interests of every loyalist and is willing to do anything for us, I believe that we share a similar goal and so I have decided to serve him in every way possible to fulfill his dream for those that are loyal to him, so I am sorry but I cannot kill the man that is going to lead mankind to a new world."

Klaus replies bowing his head in surrender.

"Hmm, so the reason you won't do as I want and kill Judas is because you feel that he has your best interests at heart and is the conduit by which your dream comes to fruition??"

Baby questions with a raised brow.

"Basically yes.. So I'm guessing you are going to kill me now right."

"No, not at all."

"What??"

Klaus puts his head up in surprise as he heard Baby's response.

"You heard me right, I won't be killing you just yet."

"But why… not that I don't appreciate that but still, why??"

"You really are a peculiar one."

Baby says in between gulps of laughter with Klaus staring blankly at her.

"I won't kill you because your reason for not killing Judas is not born out of fear but out of loyalty and a determination of seeing your dream come to fruition. That's a noble cause for even someone like me."

Baby remarks with a calm voice.

"Wow, I wasn't expecting that at all. I thought it would make you want to kill me with your own hands or maybe just toss me in hell to be tortured, I guess I thought too deeply about it."

Klaus says with an awkward chuckle.

"Do not worry, I would have done so if your response to what your dream was turned out to be a shallow one but in the end you saved yourself though there seems to be a little misconception on your part regarding Judas and his intentions for you all."

Baby remarks causing Klaus to stare at her with a questioning look.

"Misconception??...what are you talking about???"

Klaus asks a bit perplexed.

"I am saying that the great image you have painted in your head about Judas is filled with a lot of misconceptions."

Baby says with a chuckle.

"What the hell are you saying to me? … are you saying that Judas isn't who he says he is??"

Klaus asks with a raised brow.

"Exactly, you got it. Judas has been deceiving all of you and what you think he desires for all of you is only but a lie."

Baby replies.

"Why should I believe you??"

Klaus asks with a suspicious look.

"You might just be trying to get me to do your bidding by lying about Judas true intentions."

Klaus surmises with Baby chuckling lightly.

"Oh please, I have no need to lie. I am telling you the truth, you have to believe me."

Baby says.

"What proof do you have??"

Klaus asks with a complicated expression.

"Oh my, you really do not want to believe me… OK then, how about I show you."

Baby says as she rises from her throne for the second time and begins to walk towards Klaus.

"Show me??.... What are you trying to do, stay back… Stay back!!!"

Klaus yells in fear as Baby walks up to him and grabs his head with both hands.

At that moment everything began to flash in front of Klaus's eyes.

He could see everything and he could see nothing at once. He saw images and heard voices, trying to figure out which was which was of no consequence as it came to him like he was there when the events he was seeing happened.

His eyes glazed over and he fell to the ground, falling unconscious due to the overflow of information into his brain.

Baby stood over his unconscious body with a glow in her eyes. She orders for the demons to take him away with a wave of her hand as she walks back to her seat mumbling something inaudible.
