Alex questions, stopping Elena in her tracks.
"Yes and that is because I've got work to do. Unlike some people whom believe in fairy tales, I believe that humanity's survival is going to be made a reality by the hands of humans and not some omnipotent being that doesn't know when to protect 'his children'."
Elena remarks in a sarcastic voice with air quotes after which she turns to leave, closing the door behind her with a thud.
"Wow. And I am officially stunned. What the hell was that about??"
Arthur asks, turning his attention to General Mulligan whom was sitting quietly with his head down.
"It is obvious to see that her words just now are borne from a place of pain and anguish laced with anger and betrayal. General is there something you'd like to tell us or would you like us to pick offence with her words??"
Diana asks after noticing the solemn demeanor the general kept.
