Poles Of Magnet.

Rudra glanced at the camera as if looking at it was a corpse. Samantha bit the bullet and asked the first question, "Mr. Rudra, although we know how old you are. But some of our viewers might not be aware so, can you tell us your current age?"

Rudra nodded and replied in a calm tone, "25 years and 3 months."

Janice picked the cue, "So that means your last birthday passed just a few months ago."

Rudra nodded silently. Samantha chuckled, she said, "Seems like the rumors are true. Mr. Rudra, you really treat your words as gold. May I ask why do you speak so less." she was using her mouth to get back at the guy who might become the blemish on her career.

Rudra replied to her in his patent indifferent tone, "I speak only when my words make a difference. Otherwise, it is just a waste of energy." it was Janice's cue and Samantha thought to herself, 'You have to say that this iceberg is quite intelligent.'

Janice was done with her question related to his business and Rudra replied honestly. Samantha was about to ask something when Rudra's phone rang. The whole thing turned awkward. Rudra spoke, "It is a prior call, I apologize for the disturbance." he took out the phone from the pocket inside his coat and accepted the call. He did not put the phone over his ear but at some distance.

A loud voice rang out from the receiver, "RUDRA, YOU DEAD ICEBERG, CAN YOU NOT STAIN MY NAME? SMILE FOR ME OR I WILL.... NOT TAKE MY MEDICINE." the voice belonged to a girl. The two presenters were shocked. Rudra reacted immediately and replied, "Okay, I will do as you say, but take your medicine on time, please."

The girl replied, "Depends on your performance." and the call was disconnected.

Rudra sighed helplessly. He revealed a smile on his face for the first time since he walked into the studio. He spoke to the two women in front of him, "I apologize for my behavior early on. You can continue."

Samantha changed the question on the spot, "May I ask who was the person over the call? Please don't think of it as me being nosy. I just want to know who can make Mr. Rudra treat them as his priority. Pure curiosity."

Rudra smiled and replied, "The person over the call is my best friend, Akshika."

Janice asked, "How did you two meet?"

They were journalists, and they were talented enough to use a small thing for their benefit.

Rudra smiled and replied, "I met Akshika in the fifth standard. She used to be my classmate, and we had little interaction, as I did not like to talk much. It was a boarding school, so on a Sunday. I found a quiet spot near the playground. I wanted to read my books in peace. Initially, I thought it would be easy to do, but who knew that a noisy person has played football that day. Akshika was the goalkeeper, and her constant commands disturbed the serenity. I glared at her and left the place. I thought it was the end, yet this girl chased me as said, "What are you glaring at?" that was the first meeting between me and her."

The presenters revealed a smile when they heard the anecdote. This smile was not because of the story, but because they made Rudra talk so much in one go. In their minds, a tune was playing 'Level Up, Melting the iceberg, a landmark reached'

Samantha picked the cue. She asked, "What does she do? Is she working with you or something else?"

Rudra frowned, his change in expression gave everyone a sense of crisis. Janice glanced at Samantha as if saying, 'You just had to ruin it, didn't you?'

Rudra replied with a slightly upset voice, "Akshika has been bedridden for 8 years now."

His words made the ladies feel sad as well. Janice asked, "May I ask what happened?"

Rudra gave her a self-deprecating smile and said, "We always had a good relationship and after I founded the company, I called over my family and hers to celebrate. It could be my luck, but the plane they were on was hit by a lightning strike. The plane crashed. Our families and 200 other passengers passed away. Leaving behind 38 survivors. She lost the sensation in her legs as her spine got hurt. We are trying treatments and there has been some improvement, but it is not much." he had a sad smile on his face.

Samantha said with a sympathetic smile, "May she get well soon."

Janice also nodded. Rudra smiled and thanked them for the prayers. The interview continued and the question-answer finished. They played some games. and attracted a lot of audiences. The editor-in-chief was happy. The reporters had done well. Then suddenly Samantha asked, "Mr. Rudra before we finish today's interview. I have one last question to ask, if I may?"

Rudra nodded. Samantha asked, "If you could go back in time, and you may change anything in your life. What would it be?"

Rudra thought for a while before he replied, "I would change nothing. My mother was a god-loving woman. She accepted all the natural changes in life, the struggle, and the comfort. She passed that on to me. I accept the way my life is, because even if I change it. It will never stay the same. Change is the only constant. So just face it and get over it."

With that, the interview ended and the camera crew said, "CUT."

Samantha and Janice heaved a sigh of relief. They found the cold iceberg in front of them somewhat warm. They balanced out his emotional state to his bank balance. The money won. They were about to speak to Rudra a little more when the person stood up nodded to them and left wearing his unnatural cold aura.

As soon as Rudra came out of the studio he used his cellphone and called Akshika. The phone rang but for a long time no one picked up. Rudra started to get worried, as he was about to put down the phone the call connected, "Hello."

A familiar voice sounded from the other end but the usual loud tone was missing. Rudra spoke in a solemn tone, "You cried again, didn't you?" his aura was starting to get colder. The people around him unconsciously distanced themselves.

Akshika spoke, "Yes, I did. Who made you so charming on TV?" her voice grew louder.

Rudra said as he sighed, "Akshu if you pranked me like this again, I will ram my car into a tree."

Akshika panicked, "Okay I promise, I won't, don't do anything stupid."

The two people were dependant on each other to such an extent that their lives would stop without each other. They can defy anyone or anything in their lives except for each other. They both were opposite of each other, maybe that is why they attracted each other, just like two poles of the magnet.
