15 Blue Liquor and the Temple

Steambud used the steam to make a hot mist around them fanned by Hanin, together with some of the heat from the ring. It effectively hit the serpent as its scales slowly became soft and Steambud shot a steaming water pump towards the serpent, making it take a sizeable chunk of damage on its health.

The man immediately took out his Capture Crystal as soon as he saw the health bar turned red. He looked at the other two, only to find out that they weren't trying to capture the beast.

"Are you sure that it's okay to just let me have the advantage of capturing this?" The man asked, but Arie smiled and replied.

"You're lucky that my brother has his virtues even though he looks like a righteous dummy!" Arie teased his brother, but he received a smack in the head as soon as he finished what he had said.

"We said that we'll help, and this is your quest, it's not right to just help because of the short-term benefits we'll get. It's better to establish a solid friendship than immediate benefits, right?" Urie explained as he walked towards the man and held his hand out. "Urie, Jin Urie!"

The man accepted his hand and introduced himself. "My in-game name is Blue Liquor!"

"What quest do you have here knowing that there's a dreadful legend circulating around the town? By the way, I'm Arie, his brother!" The young boy asked, then pointed at Urie.

"Legend? What legend? I just came here to fulfill a quest! Nobody told me anything about that legend and stuff!" Blue Liquor said in confusion while looking at the two.

"Do you have anything else to do in this Valley? We can tell you about the legend while walking." Urie offered as looked at the man waiting for his response.

"Well, there's this beast that I need to capture that can only be captured inside a temple around this area!" Blue Liquor answered then the three walked as Urie and Arie told him about the legend that was told to them by the old lady.

They walked side by side, following the path laid upon them, surrounded by the glistening icicles and the mesmerizing refractions of light that seemed like dancing around them.

A few hours passed as they walked side by side while Blue Liquor and Urie capture every beast on their way, but Blue Liquor only captures those that caught his interest.

He told them everything about him. He joined the Nymphs Clan under the role of Water Beast Mutater.

A Beast Mutater is one of many roles that can be applied in a single clan. They are the one in charge of finding the unique ability undiscovered by the mass.

Blue Liquor's Steambud is one of those beasts that has this hidden effect of amplifying the temperature of its body according to circumstances.

Arie also introduced his role inside the Elven Clan. He was promoted as the Forest Elf who gains the ability over Earth Class beasts and has the mission to protect and preserve any type of greenery that they could find.

"It's unfair! Why do you have the chance to get promoted while I don't even know which role I'm holding right now!" Urie stomped his feet and pouted as Blue Liquor chuckled at the man's behavior.

"Seriously, who is the eldest one between the two of you?" Chuckling, he asked as they slowly reached a wide open space where an elegantly looking temple was erected at the very center.

It was glistening and has this look like one that belongs to the Ancient Aztec Architectures. It has poles protruding all around it and there's a lineup of pedestals where ice sculptures of wolves were placed.

They walked towards the temple and saw 8 silhouettes of people kneeling in front of the temple.

"What are they doing? Did they come here just to pray to this temple?" Blue Liquor asked.

"I think they did not come here just to pray. They were already part of this temple!" Urie said as they examined the statues, when they suddenly felt the chill all around the area.

The surroundings slowly got dark as the sun slowly set in the distance.

"The curse! The Night Frost is coming!" Arie shouted, but the two only looked around.

"I wonder what triggers that strange thing that freezes everything?" Blue Liquor asked as a fog slowly conjured from the outer ring of the walls of the valley.

The fog slowly crept near the temple and suddenly, a beast that looked like a Water Class Hare ran and touched the fog as it instantly got frozen.

"Run! It's the fog that contains the curse!" Urie shouted as they all ran towards the temple.

They are a bit further from the temple itself but they sprinted towards the place in just a few moments before they reached the inside of the temple and the fog reached the entrance of the temple a few seconds after saving them from being frozen.

"That was a close call!" Blue Liquor heaved a sigh of relief as they looked around the inside of the temple.

Although it might look small from the outside, it was enormous and spacious inside.

The walls were well-decorated as if it was made perfect by the greatest ice sculptor. Each line and strokes depicted on the wall were flawlessly etched. The images of the legend were perfectly illustrated in the fine, smooth, crystalline frozen walls of the temple.

"This looks so perfectly good! I wonder who made these?" Blue Liquor went closer and caressed the images as a light shone all over the temple and towards the few statues, the only things that weren't frozen all around the temple.

The statues suddenly moved and walked towards them as a crimson light flashed from its eyes, showing that the presence of the three is not welcome inside.
