21 Town of Obsidium Event

The three looked at the top of the volcano once again as they saw the sabertooth beast drop a brilliant grey seed towards the mouth of the Volcano.

Urie didn't waste any time as he summoned all the beasts in his arsenal and ordered them to attack the sabertooth beast.

Different attacks shot towards the sabertooth, but the moment that it opened its mouth, every single attack disintegrated into dust.

The grey seed fell inside the mouth of the Volcano as the entire area shook like it was about to erupt.

The three who were at the foot of the Volcano thought that they might get caught by the blazing river that may flow out of the crater, or a searing hot clouds that might puff from it.

Out of instinct and fear, the three of them hopped on the back of Alpagon and went away from the volcano as fast as possible.

The Ice Class beasts made the ground in front of Alpagon into ice to add speed and mobility for the beast.

They ran a few kilometers until they reached a town made of pitch black materials looking like a glistening obsidian under the moonlight.

Arie went inside to inform the mayor of the town while Urie and Blue Liquor were left to fend against the incoming threat.

The rumbling of the ground quickly travelled towards the town as it made the whole place chaotic and the people in a state of panic.

They all ran around covering their heads as a thing slowly emerged from the distance from where the volcano lies.

It looks like a gigantic tree that was leafless. It kept on growing until it became visible from the town's horizon.

The tree has a black hue, and grey leaves slowly grew from its branches as the Sabertooth beast stood at the top.

It whipped its tail towards one branch and it fell together with its ashen leaves as each of it transformed into thousands of ashen wasps that can't be considered as beasts as they all flew towards the town.

The black branches fell on the ground and transformed into different beasts that had pitch black color and light grey flames on their bodies.

They all rushed towards the town as Urie and Blue Liquor summoned all the beasts in their compendiums.

All of them tried to eliminate the wasps and beasts that kept on coming as the sabertooth beast kept on slashing off branches after branches.

From thousands, the number of wasps kept on increasing till they easily reached millions and from hundreds, the number of beasts with black bodies and grey flames immediately reached thousands.

The two kept on fending for the town until a rang echoed inside the town and every player inside received a notification from the server.

The two didn't even try to read the interface because they are too occupied with killing the wasps and the beasts charging towards the city.

The odd thing about the event is that the players aren't receiving any Experience Points for every kill they made and only received contribution points on which they're not aware of the usage yet.

The 23 beasts that were summoned by Urie, including the Lava Slimes that kept on coming because of the Slime King's Passive Skill.

It even got a variant of skill for the Sludge Fest called the Fiery Sludge. It burns away the wasps even so. Because of the large number of it, they can put the flames out with the wind beneath their wings that were buzzing.

They can see that the beasts are having difficulties handling the situation that's why Urie jumped at the back of Alpagon and chose a long crystal that perfectly fits his grip and asked the beast to give it to him.

Alpagon pushed the crystal out as Urie used the beast's height to boost himself up and kill those wasps with them.

He slashed and cut the wasps while seldomly inflicting damage towards the beasts by stabbing them.

Arie came back with a few people behind him as they summoned beasts that joined the battle on defending the town.

At first, there are many people joining the fray but as time passes by and they discovered that the wasps and beasts weren't giving out Exps and Items, they all walked away seems uninterested in the reward and chose to go to the town hall and accept a quest that has a bountiful reward.

Soon, there were only a handful of individual players because those that belonged to the big clans put their hands out of an event that appeared at the early phase of the game.

The handful of people who remained to defend the town struggled when the second wave of the enemies came.

There's a dark aura covering each of them, rendering the effect of the attributes ineffective.

"How could we finish this fight if they are as tough as a walnut?" An old man sighed, but when they looked at him, he was just a lowly NPC who had the intention to protect his home.

"Do you think we should use one of those?" Urie asked, directing the question towards his younger brother while paying attention to the second wave of the enemies.

"Are you sure about that, brother?" Arie asked, but his brother only replied with a single petal in his hand.

"We don't have any choice, right?" He smiled and tossed the petal up in the air as it was shredded into pieces and a silhouette of a deer emerged.

From a distance, there was a trail of dust that was going in their direction, and glimpses of glistening pink lights could be seen at the head of the trail.

As the dust charged towards them, black roots started emerging from within the town that destroyed some establishments.

Exhaustion can be seen on the faces of the players and NPCs that were fighting against the horde.

The rushing dust finally came and as soon as it settled, it revealed a majestic beast with crystalline pink leaves on its antlers as it glistened through the moonlight.
