Craving and Tire of Heat~22

The woman kept holding her face. She was in daze and still can't believe how her step father the prime minister beat her face. Her face was sting as the desert lead them unto her very home. She got down from the dongkey and blankly walked inside.

Hue and Nod sighed as Oak and Stripe got amazed with the building's design. It refinedly made like of the ancient homes. The woman paced to her room. She removed her wig as her bald head got exposed. The wig made her look ordinary but her hairless display showed that she is rarely a beauty. Hue, Stripe and Nod watched as she carefully stripped her garment Oak glared at the men who forcefully face the wall as the woman walk in her robe.

"How dare that old man disgrace me. He asked me to act that stupidly to highlight his own public display?! He took me for a fool. He maybe the Prime Minister for marrying my mother but I am the true successor." She convinced herself.

The gang learned that the desert's name was Beni. For the people who lived there it was enough to have a home but when the Prime Minister got switched off. The crises begun, it seems that the sand rejected a foreign leader.

The water became limited that many died from thirst.

People were begging for a drop but the Prime Minister used it to abuse the poor. He acts on whimps and would execute those who oppose him. He treated every women as playthings and enslaved the men. The Prime Minister's wife despised her current husband. If not because of her father's wish then she won't ever dare to look at the man who uses her court as his own park.

The queen escaped the land and was later on burnt to death burried within the sand. It was a horrible death that caused the temple to be abandoned. No women dancing and singing were even heared most were gossiping and rumours against the queen who loved the ruined court.

The woman named Perlas put on the same wig and facade. She concealed her true self under those artificial hair and elegant jewelry. She marched down the dinning table and sat at the opposite edge of the long cold table.

"I did not mean to hit you harder than I promised but my actions need to be real. I did mean to hurt you." The Prime Minister spoke even without any regret nor sense of apology.

"I understand but please let me be away for three days. I need to regain my composure." Perlas acted as if she was sincere.

"Gosh this meal is so fake." Stripe whispered.

"Watching it bore me. They are toying with each other." Oak stated as she sat beside the Prime Minister and started observing him. His gaze toward the young lady was nothing but hypocrisy.

"Your parents did not teach you how to be grateful." The man uttured.

"They did. They even taught me to be cautious of people who only uses you for gains." Perlas nonchalantly replied.

"How amusing even your tongue were not disciplined. Should I cut it off?" He warned

"Even if you do... It will only display how you climb up without any gratitude toward the late and true owner of your current prominence." Perlas smiled as she elegantly arranged her plate and stood.

"Very well enjoy your meal." she walked out without glancing back.

The man grunted as he slammed the table napkin on the wooden table. He clenched his fist and followed Perlas.

"You dare to talk back? How could you. I can expell you of this place. I can have you exiled but I did not because of your grandfather who took me in!" He roared as he pushed her on the wall.

"So?" Perlas raised with unusual confidence.

"I will marry you to preseve this line." the prime minister proposed.

"Even if you don't I am the sole successor. So why should I?" Perlas scoffed in pure scorn.

"How shameless!" The man said and tried to pull her wig.

"Don't you dare touch a single strand from my head." Perlas warned in pure range.

"If you do, You will surely regret it." She whispered and pushed the man away.

Perlas woke up by evening and visited the ruin temple.

She marched on the altar and spoke.

"My dear daughter Fareh.. I will avenge your life, I breath in your stead. That man will pay for burying you alive. My heart yearn for revolution but in this shaved head of mine, I your mother who is hiding her crown will use it to kill that very man. I will drag his flesh on this sand and will have him pay for all the oppression he established." Perlas cried out as the four watched the mother embrace her daughter's grave.

"That prime minister is in love with Fareh and used Perlas as the short cut route but his desire were not fulfilled." Oak whispered.

"I bet Perlas hated and despised the man who shaved her hair." Nod added.

The lonely night got clothed by Perlas resigning to bed.

Her revolution started by cultivating the people to gather by the gate and protest against the Prime Minister.

It was riot and gamble but Perlas reclaimed her status. She hanged the man by the gate and rebuilt the temple. The four was surprised not to do anything. They can't even remember how they end up leading the people toward the oasis. Perlas stared at the horn held by Oak and picked up.

"It was because your a good commnader father. This horn has truly lead us to discover a treasure. Salute dearest commander remain sleeping in peace." Perlas appreciated.

"It felt like we are within a tale. I just can't remember what we did. Say, does that mean the commander purposely chase us out? If so, does it mean he rested in peace?" Stripe talked as he kept pondering.

"Yes those soldiers were dead. They seemed to be loyal to the ruined temple. But how did we invited them?" Hue asked..
