Chapter Four

*I remember it clearly, Bridget !It was my first day in high school and I was so happy and filled with joy .*

.. ..

"I'm so happy that I 'm finally going to high school especially because it's the school of my choice .Tell me how it will feel like in high school dad, because I know you have got much experience "I said to my dad like a kid .

"I like it when you are happy my dear .High school is a tale on its own and everyone has got a different feeling for it !"He said, kissing my forehead .

"Everything is ready dad ,let's go now because I don't want to be late .I want to explore the school and make new friends at school .

I heard that high school is a whole different thing altogether .

Dad ,when I complete high school and go through college ,I will become a great cardiologist in the whole of California and the world .

That way ,I will be able to save the lives of people .I couldn't save mum when she died from a heart attack when I was six years old but I promise you that ,I will save the lives of others to make mum proud of me ..!"I said happily .

"What an old girl you have grown into …!"Her dad said, holding her by the hand .

"Wow dad ! We have finally reached …!"

"Come dear ,let's go in for the admission forms…..!"Her dad says to her holding her hands .

*I was then thirteen years old ,so innocent and filled with joy ,Bridget .My only purpose was to become a cardiologist and save the lives of others ,then this is how we met ; *

The corridors of the school are very nice and large .I guess I should go in for some chocolate ice cream because my mouth is already watery with the weird snacks being sold .

"One chocolate ice cream please ..!" I said to the man ``The chocolate is really nice ,I gave it a compliment after tasting it .

*I wasn't paying attention to anyone in the corridor because of the ice cream in my hand .It was really nice so I almost felt like biting my hands ,then I bumped into him .*

"Holy shit ! Can't you watch where you are going ?

You are in spectacles yet you still can't see clearly .

Look at how you have ruined my t-shirt "four eyes''! ``

*I wasn't going to stand there for him to talk to me anyhow though it was my mistake so I also gave him a reply *.

"Seriously ? You can't talk to me in that tone, young man ! You could have seen that I was coming in your direction and you intentionally bumped into me to get my attention !"

*It was quite funny but dad told me not to allow anyone to bully me in high school so I needed to develop my own confidence *.

"What !"He exclaimed ."Why would I get your attention when you are a stranger to me ?!"He asked me as I stood not bothered about what would happen next .

"How would I know ,Mr. Frowns?"I gave a quick comeback.

"What did you just call me ?!"He asked one more time .

"Mr .Frowns ! "I repeated it louder this time ."Did you surpass the mirrors in your home before coming to school ,because your face lacks a smile .That's why I probably didn't see you while coming !"I wasn't ready to keep my shut .

*He came closer to me and my heart skipped a beat .I thought he was about to squeeze my neck to death *

"What are you doing ? Stay back or else ..!"

"Or else what ! Four eyes !"He teasingly called and asked me .

"What about my damaged shirt ?"He pointed to his shirt which was filled up with ice cream indicating that I needed to do something about it .

*At that moment ,I couldn't think of anything else other than cleaning his ice cream off from his shirt using my wet wipes which I carried along with me in my school bag .*

"I'm done ,happy now ,Mr .Frowns ?"I sarcastically asked him but he began to walk away while I was still talking, not paying any heed to my words .

*I didn't want to cause a scandal in the corridor so I quickly ran and grabbed him by the arm and I asked ..*

"Mr .Frowns ,what about my ice cream ?Don't you think that is of importance too ?And besides you couldn't even say thank you after wiping it off from your T-shirt !"

"Thanks for what ; for damaging my T-shirt the most or what ?!"

*I quickly covered my mouth with my hands looking at the damage I had caused his t-shirts .I had totally ruined in it for real so I began to run away from his presence not wanting to get punished if he reports me to a facilitator *

"Where are you going, four eyes ?"He called out loud while I was about fifteen meters away .

"Come and clean your.. or better still get a new spectacle for your impaired vision! "He teased .

*Bridget ,I didn't even notice that he called me four eyes because of my spectacle but that was for something to talk about later .I just prayed that I wouldn't have to meet him ever again .Dad told me not to pick a fight or argument but here I was ,busily defending myself of something I did wrong because I didn't want to get punished .

It was my first day at school and how I met him ...*
