Tree Of Life

"Wait, your realm?" Ace asked, wings stopping as he fell onto the roots of the tree, clinging onto it with his life as there was nothing else besides the tree, the roots and emptiness beneath him.

"Yes, my realm. You best be careful, Ace. If you fall, Cleo is not going to be able to help you." Novella said, smiling at the boy who clung to the root even tighter.

"Cleo."

"I got you." Cleo flew to him and helped him sit on its back, laughing the entire time. "Now you want my help?"

"Would you rather I fall?" He asked, pouting as he clung onto Cleo's fur.

"Not at all," Cleo said, flying to Novella. "By the way, I wasn't even informed that you were the one going to give the final gift."

"That is because I just made the decision right now," Novella said, smiling brightly at the fox as they made it to the base of the tree. "This is the tree of life, Ace. My home. I am one of the oldest Deities to exist."
