Changing Sides?

Quinn looked up and saw Vincent walk in then close the door. She stood up from the bed, still holding onto the book and in a second, Vincent was standing in front of her, looking into her eyes. He had used his speed, and she felt her breath hitch at his closeness.

He raised his hand and took the book from her hand then threw it on the bed. Wrapping his arms around her waist, he pulled her flush against him until their bodies were pressed against each other. He raised one hand and caressed her face as he smiled, "I am so glad that we are finally home. I was so worried that you might get hurt during our journey."

Quinn placed her hand on top of his that was holding her face as her other hand held onto his shoulder. She smiled, "I am glad as well, my King, but do not worry, I will not let myself get hurt or let you get hurt."
