Who’s the Boy?

SORA has never been into that forest before. He never wanted to roam around his father's hometown anyway. But that one time, when he tried to help the girl in her class when she was getting bullied, he was so sure that he saw a girl in a tree.

And here he was, looking for her. Actually, it had been days since he came into that forest. He made marks in every tree he last went to.

He was so frustrated that he started to get annoyed when he saw a pool of yellow flowers on the ground. It was so full of it that it makes him want to throw himself on it. It was like a bed. Soft and fluffy.

But he was afraid that if he would jump, it wouldn't be that soft like he imagined feeling it. So, he tried to step on it, just to check. But it was then that he saw what he was looking for. Today is the day that he finally proven himself right.

There was really a girl that day. And she looks foreign. Like him

Yellow-haired. Super white-skinned despite living in a provincial-based hometown. And her eyes, they have the same eyes!

But the amazement didn't stop there as he saw her flying. She was floating in the air.

Sora cannot even utter a word and just let his mouth hang open. Stunned and shocked at the girl who was flying and now descending.

Not knowing what to ask first, he blurted, "Wh…Why are you…are you flying?"

"What are you going to do with my flowerbed?!"

Anger was what he heard from the girl. And before he could even say another word, the girl ran to him. Afraid that she would fly to him and knocked him out, he walked backward but instead of the girl knocking him out, it was he himself who did the deed. He fell to the ground. He felt the sting in his hand as his hand scrapped from the small stones in the ground.

"Waa! Don't come any closer!" He covered his arms to his face and hoping that when he opened his eyes, the girl won't be there anymore.

This time he was wrong.

"You're bleeding. Let me see it."

Afraid that she may do something to him, he pushed her and keep punching his hands in the air. Hoping that she won't come near him again. "Go away. Go away! Monster! Alien!"

He slightly opened his eyes and saw her in front of him. So, he grabbed a handful of what his hand can reach in the ground, threw it at her. He just grabbed and threw, grabbed and threw.

Screaming and shouting at her and the next thing he knew, the girl grabbed his hand and pushed him to the ground.

He groaned a little as he felt the solid ground on his back. When he opened his eyes, the sun greeted him with glaring rays that made him looked away. That was then he saw the girl in his side, crying.

Tears well in her eyes as she silently pleaded, "Please. I won't do anything to you. Just don't pull out my flowers. Please."

Her hands were small as it tried to grasp his arm. Trembling and clutching into it. Then he saw a long gush in her arm.

Sora quickly sat and tried to help her. He wiped her tears when she let go of his arms. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." He sat up and helped her, too. "Here, let me plant it again."

He didn't wait for her to answer and just pick the flowers that were on the ground, he tried planting the flowers again hoping that it will be okay while patting flat the soil.

When he looked back at the girl, eyes still wet from her tears, she smiled at him. He felt somewhat ashamed of what he did. He was a boy after all. And he was afraid of this girl. She was so tiny. She was even smaller than him. What was he thinking and was getting afraid of her?

With that confidence, he looked back at the girl. "I'm really sorry. I just got…What are you anyway? Are you flying? Or you have something in you that kept you up there?"

"I can fly. And don't you know? I'm a deity of this forest. I'm Dandy. And you are?"

Again, his jaw drop. {Is this some kind of a game?} Maybe it was. He awkwardly laughed and thought of something, "And don't you know, I'm Ramen Rider. I'm Sora." He then extended his hands.

It was the girl's turn to gave him a puzzled look before giving a tap to his hands. They both laughed at the end.

But looks like the story doesn't end there as the next moment, a big wolf emerged behind the bushes. It was so big that he thought that his Akita, Rin, was just a puppy.

"D-Dandy, w-we should run… run! RUN!"

It was the first time that he was so afraid for his life. He thought that he already peed his pants and he doesn't care. He just grabbed Dandy's hand and ran for their lives!

He doesn't care if that wolf would follow them. He would run to their village as fast he could. From there, he knew that they would be protected.

"Dandy!" he called out to the girl for he felt like he was dragging no one. He could feel her arms in his hands but she was so light that it felt like he was just dragging a paper. "Dandy!" he called again.

"Yes?"

Sora looked back again at the girl. Why does it look like she was enjoying this?

"Why are you smiling?"

"Because this is fun! Wee!!"

{Fun? This is fun?!} Sora just ignored Dandy and ran. He can almost see the road where he came from when the wolf jumped out in front of him.

He stopped and shielded Dandy from it. The wolf looks vicious. Mouth pulled back as his fangs bare. Its eyes were the color of the full moon and anger was clearly seen. Then there was a grasshopper in its head.

{Grasshopper? And why does it looked like he was doing…karate?}

Sora's attention was drawn to the grasshopper especially when it jumped and landed on his face. "What the---ouch! That hurts!" he tried to wiggle his head as it kept pulling his hair. And it sure was painful.

"Sora!" Dandy shouted as the wind passed by him. "Bye!"

And just like those anime, Dandy's face slowly passed by him. She was smiling as she was saying goodbye.

"Dandy!" He tried to grab the wolf's tail but it was too fast. Before she could catch up to the wolf who took Dandy, it was already gone. And so was the grasshopper in his head.

"This is bad. This is bad."

He doesn't want the idea but it was the only thing that he thought he could do. Ask help from his father. He turned his back away from the forest and ran out of it and back to his home.

The last thing he wanted to do is talk to his father. He was still mad at him when he chose to go back here to his hometown and leave their home and his mother.

But for now, he would forget about that. That small girl. Dandy. She might get eaten if he wouldn't do this.

Thinking about what might happen to Dandy, he ran as fast as he could. Good thing he was athletic and running the fastest he could be was nothing to him.

{If only I would be faster, I could have caught up to them}
