Lilli and Miko leave the room, and Akio sits by Shiro. Once outside of the room, Lilli takes her mother-in-law to the chapel.


"I assume you know that we married; I also feel that you are not happy. I do not understand why? We have known each other for so many years, and you have always treated me well. You have always told me that you loved me as a daughter. So why is our joining such a source of anger for you?" Lilli asks Miko straight out; her tone is very straightforward, and Miko cannot avoid answering.


" Lilli, I do love you, and I am grateful to you for all the love and care you have given our family. You have to understand that Shiro will be taking over our business when he graduates and needs to have someone his equal. It is not that we do not love you, but he will need someone that can help him in the business world," Miko tells Lilli, her voice quiet, trying not to sound condescending. Lilli laughs at this and looks at Miko.
