Bonus Chapter Story: Nickson with the save! This plot echoes chapter 13 of the story!

...….

"How should I talk to her," I ponder to myself while stealing glances over to my seatmate, Yuki.

Yuki seems to have a crazed mind, as I see her looking left to right, thinking about something that she only knows.

Soon, she meets my gaze as I recognise her eyes, lips, and mouth, slightly trembling with nervousness.

"I wonder what she is thinking about," I think to myself, hoping that I can somehow meet some friends in this classroom. Despite her actions previously shown to me, I can still forgive her and hope to start our relationship as friends one more time.

That's what professionals do in my line of work. We forgive, forget, and change a new leaf.

However, the situation does not go that way. Yuki packs her books and leaves the room, knowing that I want to start a conversation with her.

Before she can even pass and slide the gates, she bumps her head dramatically and falls to the ground. It is fortunate that I am already by the door and cushioning her head.

Nobody saw me perform that stunt just now, I think. But when I retract my hand back to my pockets after shielding Yuki's head falling to the ground, I discern Roxanne staring at me with surprised eyes.

"Please don't tell her," I shake my head as a sign of non-verbal communication, not wanting to let Yuki know about the matter. It would be better if she does not know that I have been paying close attention to her, wanting to gain friends in this class.

And she is the only person right now that I know and comfortable talking with, even way before my academic term had started.

I carry on in the silent hall and hear dozens of students watching, and even laughing outside the room.

"Who do they think they are chuckling to a person that experienced an accident?" I grunt to myself while gritting my teeth in anger.

I gently slide my temples off from my face and give them the stare of my real self that knows no bounds of hatred and despair.

At once, the burst of laughter dies, replacing it with a noiseless environment akin to a cemetery. I can even hear their palpating breaths, frightened for their life to those who had witnessed my glare just now.

"Serves them right," I mumble to myself and take my leave

This chapter is a bonus story for Nickson during the Welcoming and Homecoming Party! Cheers! This bonus plot echoes Chapter 14 of the book!

...…..

I pick my smart phone from my breast pocket and dial the number of my head servant. After the following automated beeping sounds, someone takes the line.

"Hello, this is CEO Nickson Park. I would like to request my butler for my shuttle, please."

"As you wish, Seo-jun." the valet responds and waits for me to end the call. (Seo-jun is my Korean name)

I order my butler on stand by and summon my service to escort me back home. I can drive the automobile myself, but I would never advise it since I took a few sips of fine wine earlier.

As I am about to go outside, an unknown voice makes his announcement from the primary room.

I shift my body back to the glass and listen to what he is about to say.

"Before we go, I have an announcement to make!" An unfamiliar voice from the speakers catches our attention.

A man wearing eyeglasses and a woman with purple hair both descend the steps. The pair wears the uniform of our school instead of fancier clothes appropriate for the party.

As the two of them reach the platform, fireworks launch behind the building and shoot for the skies. It is to celebrate something that we are not aware of from the public but within the school.

"We are here to find talented individuals that can lead our school as we had done before. I, Washi Nakamura, and my former vice-president, Byakko Suzuki, will assiduously pick and elect students in the next student council elections."

The two of them declare with their eyes scanning the crowd. I notice they are studying every movement and personality of the students just by looking at them for a minute, once in one sweep.

The elite students are not judging the other pupils. They are more on choosing whoever is trustworthy with a single glance.

One sharp look is all that it takes for them to appoint you as the student council member. That is also what I do in my line of work.

However, our ideal may clash, since that is not the sincerest way to choose a leader. In my line of job, that may apply to choose and to reject my applicants. But in this department where students are going to lead the school, this evaluation is not advisable.

That is what I think.

I better dig further at the bottom of this to find out more about the elections.

"Your professors will mark your activities, projects, and graded recitations with perfect scores as long as you are doing a job as a prominent leader of the student council." The girl beside the president adds, while giving me a death stare from the outside.

I swear I conceal myself before leaving the hallway. I do not know the reason, but I feel someone is watching my actions.

As if supporting my claim, the girl named Suzuki narrows her eyes and gives me a wink, trying to catch my attention from far away.

"Weird," I mumble to myself and take my leave towards the car park, where my butler should wait for me.

I have heard what I need to know about the elections, so there is no need for me to stick around at the party.

Besides, I have dozens of manga that I need to render, alongside my light novels I want to read.

However, things have gotten strange when I see two figures wobbling down the car park. Just by looking at their backs, I know without a doubt who they are in the distance.

The lady stumbles upon something tiny and slides her away. Like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, her entire body descends on the concrete floor and is about to hit the panel.

It is a good thing that I am already there, catching her body before it can even fall on the cement.

"You!" She bawls with her eyes widening in surprise.

"You should be careful with your dress." I catch Yuki before she falls, tightly wrapping my hands around her hips.

Her features become crystal upon inspecting her face up close to mine. I have many women secretaries in my office, but I have never expected her beauty in the point-blank range.

I have my last look on her face before she picks herself up, together with Roxanne lying on the ground.

"Thank you for doing that," She resumes walking towards the car, not even batting an eye to her behind.

"Do you want me to-?" I try holding her back and offer some help, but she motions with her hand and gives me a sign.

"Nope! I am totally in control of my life!" She announces while dashing straight at the car, while dragging tipsy Roxanne on her shoulder.

"You're welcome!" I shout back at her while striding over to the parallel side, with my valet already waiting on the door.

I take off my glasses and wipe the lenses using a white towel inside my pocket. Suddenly, a surge of interest springs inside my heart from the few exchanges I had with Yuki.

"She's really something," I mutter to myself and go inside the car.

"Sir Seo-jun, you look like you had fun with the party," Chung-hee comments, while steering the wheel of the car.

"Cut with the jest, old-man. I am not in the mood."

"Oh, do you know?"

A moment of silence pervades the atmosphere, as Chung-hee, or Wilson (his English name), waits for my response. He usually does this act to test my patients and anger, knowing that I cannot tolerate such conduct.

I have a terrible habit of having this narcissistic approach every time I take my glasses off my face. Chung-hee knows this as much as I do, so he is always here by my side to fix my attitude.

"It was fun. The drinks were bad, but there were various people of my age." I answer, while taking a sip of the cold beverage prepared by none other than Chung-hee himself. "Unfortunately, I did not make any friends, or so I think."

"Who's the lucky girl?" Wilson peers his face through the window, observing my flaky facial expression.

"She is not my love interest," I retaliate. "Yuki is just a girl I met, and coincidentally the light novel author of the mangaka I am drawing."

"Youth is indeed beautiful," Chung-hee utters to himself and steps on the gas. He hums a giddy song along the way, the content of what he has heard that night.
