A Disappointing Menu Card

Ethan pondered for a moment carefully. He was well aware that this is not a game anymore. Before the start of the game, the attributes of a character will be pretty much balanced. So the gamers like Ethan had the general view on how to distribute the Attributes Points.

But that was in the game. This is the reality. And his distribution should be carefully done. One wrong move might cost his life. In the game, if you are dead, then you can resurrect using many means. Even though if a character died in the game and resurrection is possible, the price a player has to pay is not that simple.

In the history of the game [Ascension], only three people were not killed even a single time. And as a top player in the world server, Ethan was one of them.

But that was the game. And this is the reality. In the game resurrection is possible if he was killed. But he highly doubts if resurrection is possible once he died as this is the reality.

After thinking for a while, he came to a decision. He used 10 Attribute Points and added them to Strength. He knew that even on Earth, his physical strength is not at all on the required standard. There is no need to mention about his strength in the cultivation world. He is definitely at the bottom of the chart among his age group.

So as soon as he added 10 Attribute Points to the Strength Attribute, a System Notification popped up.

[Strength : +10]

[Strength is now at 30 points]

Ethan felt as if his body became a little light. He felt that his muscles became a little stronger. Even though it was a minor increment, he still felt the changes happened to his body. With the increase in physical strength, some fat in his body started to burn at a rapid pace. He felt his body a little lighter.

Ethan was happy. He knew that if he had to run for 100m, he could reach his destination a little quicker than before. He was naturally happy about it.

With the increase in strength, he felt another change in his body. He used to feel immense weight near his shoulder. Due to insufficient strength, he always used to feel pressure on his neck which resulted in partial neck pains. This resulted in him always feeling sleepy even in the class. He couldn't sit in the class for a longer period of time. This is also became the reason why he always failed to concentrate on anything.

But with the weight loss even in his shoulder, he felt the pressure on his neck gone. He felt as if his concentration level is now a little better than before. He was naturally happy about it.

Ethan calmed down. He looked at the remaining Attribute Points. He didn't think twice and added everything on Stamina. He worked like his life depended on it for twenty hours. He knew that strength is one of the many factors why he couldn't keep up for a longer period of time. And Stamina is one of them.

Stamina will help a person to work for a longer period of time without getting tired. So it was one of the main attribute to take note of. If his Stamina was higher to begin with, then he could have completed his cleaning the library a little earlier than the time it took to complete.

So he added all the remaining Attribute Points on Stamina. As soon as he added 5 remaining points to Stamina, a System Notification appeared in front of his eyes confirming that the assigning is successfully completed.

[Stamina : +5]

[Stamina is now at 25 points]

He felt that his stamina increased. He felt that now he could work a longer period of time than he did before. He will no longer get tired so easily anymore. So he was really happy.

He felt vigorous and energetic as well. He knew that if he had to clean the library now, he might finish it in 15 hours. This might not be a large improvement. But since it is just the beginning days, he was patient and was not on rush. He kept on telling himself to maintain patience as cultivation could not be rushed.

Grrww!

At that time, his stomach started to make sound. Now that he thought about it, the last time he ate was before he entered the carriage which brought him to the academy. The journey lasted for ten hours. Later he was busy for around one hour at the main gate for his registration in the academy. The he was busy for 20 hours with the cleaning of academy.

For thirty hours, he didn't eat anything. He was so eager to get the Attribute Points that he didn't care about his hunger. So he was hungry now.

"It's time to go to the Dining Hall and fill my stomach." ,Ethan though and decided to go to the dining hall immediately.

...

Ethan entered the dining hall. Unlike on earth, the dining hall gave him an ancient architectural style. Well, cultivators lives for millions of years as far as his knowledge served.

He looked at the time on the system. It was around 10pm. And yet, the dining hall was looking full of business.

Ethan didn't want to implement the logic of earth here anymore. He even tried his best to get used to the lifestyle and custom of this world. He wanted to change and sync with this new world.

He quickly entered and looked at menu. When he looked at the menu, his smile froze.

"Fuck! What kind of menu is this?"

His mood immediately soured. He wanted to cry. He was a pure vegetarian who never touched non vegetarian food back on earth. He ate once during his childhood. He never liked it. And to make things worse, he had a vomiting sensation.

That was the first time he ate the non vegetarian food. And that also became the last time as well. But when it transmigrated to this new planet, Jake gave him meat.

At that time, he didn't want to eat it. But his hunger forced him to take the meat even if he didn't like it. And Jake gave him made out of goodwill. So he felt it is improper to decline it. So he somehow gathered enough courage and ate it.

But now as he was in the dining hall, he found that every food described on the menu list was filled with non vegetarian. There was not even a single word which was prepared through plans and vegetables.

"Oh? If it wasn't for our supreme genius!" ,At that time, Ethan heard someone making comment on him which was filled with contempt.
