Ethan’s Clinic

"Don't forget. The Branch Patriarch will be retiring very soon. And the three Deputy Patriarchs are on the line of contention for the next Patriarch position. These are sensitive situations. One wrong step from us will cost us greatly. If that Sherlock dies, then the other two Deputy Patriarchs will get the enough excuses to get on Old Master." ,Billie said.

She then continued, "Killing Sherlock is the least thing we should be doing right now. And the biggest headache is that others might try to kill Sherlock. And since we were the one who found the trouble with him, we will become the suspicious people. And this suspicion will increase since Young Master Sirius had openly blackmailed that Sherlock. No matter what who kills that Sherlock, the first person who will be in the list of suspects will be none other than our Young Master Sirius!" ,Billie said.

"So what you are basically saying is that, we can't kill him. And moreover we should be protecting him?" ,Young Master Sirius was angry. But he knew that this was the optimal solution for their current situation.

"We don't have any other choice. We are doing this for our Old Master!" ,Billie said after sighing, "And once Old Master will ascend the branch throne, the city will be yours. You can do whatever you want. What can this small thing count in front of the bigger picture?"

Young Master Sirius was depressed. But he knew that Billie was saying the truth. Even though he can't bring himself forward and want to protect Sherlock; this is the only thing they can so right now.

"Fine. Let's do it then. We will protect that Sherlock from shadows. Send our best team to protect him in secret." ,Young Master Sirius said after giving it a thought.

Young Master Sirius then looked at Derek and said, "You will be the in charge for that person's protection. Make the necessary preparations."

Derek was depressed. All he wanted was a little revenge? And how exactly things have become so complicated? He had to act as a bodyguard to a person whom he wanted to kill the most right now. What can he do? There is no way he can go against Young Master Sirius's orders after all.

Ethan looked at the map and was a little troubled. Even on earth, his skill with the navigation and the sense of direction was a complete mess. Needless to say, a completely different world. Whenever he used to find himself lost his way, he used to get the help from the Google Maps navigation system.

But this is a cultivation world. Here power is everything. As for the machine technologies, no one can find them here. Fortunately, he had the system. He let the System scan the map given to him by the Administration Building. With the help of system, he was able to quickly find his destination.

But what he saw baffled him. He saw an old building full of cracks. Spider webs could be found everywhere. The exterior of the building was full of dust.

He sighed. He knew that this is a form of revenge the Administration Building is taking on him. He didn't care though. At this time, his attention was grabbed by a sudden System Notification.

[Quest Activated]

[Quest Name : A True Doctor]

[Quest Rank : F]

[Description : A clinic should always be clean. A clean clinic will be good for all the patients who will visit you. Needless to say, it will attract more patients as well.]

[Mission : Perform the primary duty of a Doctor. Clean the entire Clinic and make it look beautiful]

[Completion Rate: 0%]

Ethan wanted to cough blood. This is the second time the System issued such a mission. A mission related to cleanliness? Does this System has some kind of dust allergy? Why would it immediately ask him to complete these damn cleanliness related missions? How annoying?

But Ethan didn't care. Even if the System didn't issue such a mission, he would have cleaned it anyway. But this is good as well. If he is going to get free points for it, then of course, it is a good news.

But the only annoying part is, the system will guide him throughout the entire mission. It will ask him to clean those sections in the clinic which were rather unnecessary.

But there is nothing he could do about it. Only when he completes all those cleaning thing which were asked by the System, his completion rate would increase. And only when his completion rate increases, he will get more benefits in the form of system rewards. So he had to follow every instructions from the system.

Ethan worked very hard. But he wasn't exhausted like when he cleaned the Library. Even after the cleaning process completed, not even a sweat drop could be found on his body. And there was no abnormal change in his breathing pattern. He was looking in good condition.

But the annoying part of this cleaning process is, the system forced him to cleanup the surrounding part of the Clinic as well. Only after cleaning everything, the System announced that quest completion rate hit 100% mark.

He then created a small board with the name "Daoist Fool Clinic" and hung it at the top. He also added another line which said "All types of available treatment will be charged for 1 Copper".

1 copper Coin!

It is something even a beggar could afford. Needless to say, common people. Everyone might think that Ethan had gone mad with such thinking. But Ethan wouldn't care anyway. He was ready to treat anyone for free of charge. But he should gather a sum of 50 Gold Coins by the end of the year to extend his Clinic rent for next year. So he charged 1 Copper Coin.

Ethan's primary concern is to clear the 100,000 Skill Points debt he had to the system. So he wanted to gather as much patients as possible. He didn't care about money. As long as he had enough money to eat and sleep, he doesn't care about anything anymore. So he was ready to cure anyone for cheap cost.

He then looked around him. But all he saw was trees. There were no people, no houses, and he couldn't find even a dog. He was all alone in this place. He was sure that this was deliberately arranged by that bastard Manager Philip.

If Ethan wants to believe that his life as a doctor will be safe and smooth, then he would be an idiot. He knew that things won't be that easy. But he was mentally prepared for all the challenges. So he didn't care about this issue.

All he need is one patient. And everything will change. Once rumours start about his capabilities, people will naturally come to him.

He then entered the Clinic and then arranged his bed. He knew that people won't come to his clinic since no one in the city knew about him. So he went to sleep.
