Black Skull's Origin

Any Cultivator seeks natural phenomena. Even if anything that you seek is available for use, but couldn't unleash its true potential, then that will be bad.

The Assassin named Erin Walker and his twin brother Kevin Walker have Yin-Yang Union Physique which the Dark Grimm Grotto is seeking. But its true potential can be unleashed only by the people who were born with it.

Even if it is extracted forcefully or for any other reason, its use will have limitations. No one other than the people who were born with it has the advantage of using it to its full potential.

This is the reason why the Dark Grimm Grotto initially tried to recruit them. But after firm rejection from Evin Walker, they had no choice but to go with force. They had an option of torturing both the twin brothers until they submitted and worked for them.

But they don't know whether they will work for them with complete loyalty or not. They might even have the idea of pretending to work for them until they get an opportunity to escape. Or they might wait until they become strong enough to destroy the entire Dark Grimm Grotto.

That will be like raising a pair of cubs who will devour them when they mature.

They can't risk it. So they decided to go with the safest approach. Hence, they are extracting Evin Walker's Cultivation and his Physique.

"This Dark Skull is amazing! It actually sucks the Physique of a Cultivator."

Coldstone said while looking at the Black Skull which is sucking the Cultivation and Physique of the Assassin, Evin Walker.

"That's right. It is indeed amazing. But how did our Grotto even get such an amazing treasure? Elder Brother, do you know anything about it?", Lyth asked with great curiosity.

"I don't know much about it. But I heard Sect Master once mention it. He said that our Sect's ancestor got it from a place called Eternal Dark Region from Myriad Beast Forbidden Forest."

Myriad Beast Forbidden Forest!

Ethan was quite surprised when he heard it. He remembered that Lily was injured in the Myriad Beast Forbidden Forest when she went there to explore it. From her injuries, Ethan could tell that Myriad Beast Forbidden Forest is very dangerous.

It should be very dangerous. Because Myriad Beast Forbidden Forest is one of the 12 Forbidden Zones in the Mortal Realm. Among the 12 Forbidden Zones, there are five Forbidden Zones which only the Elementary Stage Experts can enter.

If any cultivator other than the Elementary Stage expert tried to enter, they would explode and die. As for the reason, no one knows it yet. But Ethan was sure that only Elementary Stage Experts could enter these 5 Forbidden Zones.

And Myriad Beast Forbidden Forest happens to be one of those 6 Forbidden Zones which only Elementary Stage Experts could enter. If that is the case, then this Ancestor of the Dark Grimm Grotto might have entered the Myriad Beast Forbidden Forest when he was an Elementary Stage Cultivator.

The most troublesome thing about these 12 Forbidden Zones is that their locations were not fixed. It is not definite when they will appear, or where they will appear.

But from what Ethan learned from Lily, the location and the time of appearance of the Forbidden Zones can be calculated. But the means of calculation has always been monopolized by top sects and organizations in the entire Mortal Realm. Not everyone can have that luck to know its next location.

But the Myriad Beast Forbidden Forest has already appeared. And as per estimations, it will stay for one month. And then it will disappear. And the location of its next appearance is very tough to find out.

But Ethan doesn't want to explore Myriad Beast Forbidden Forest. He doesn't want to put his life in danger. He already experienced the horror of Forbidden Zones when he explored the Soul God's inheritance.

Meanwhile, Hamilton shared what he knew with his junior brothers. Even he had suspicions about the origin of this black skull. But he had no guts to ask his Sect Master on his own. So he wasn't involved in it. After all, the Master of Dark Grimm Grotto was a terrifying existence whose cultivation base is even above the Spiritual Roots Cleansing Stage!

"Elder, do you know anyt--"

Hamilton turned and was about to ask the Elder from the Dark Grimm Grotto. But then he found that the Elder's attention was somewhere else. He was not even paying attention to their conversation.

The elder was lost in his own thoughts. And he wasn't paying attention to them.

"What happened, elder? Did you find anything?"

Hamilton asked.

The Elder shook his head and said, "Maybe it's my imagination. But I feel as if this forest has undergone some kind of transformation. I can sense that every leaf, every branch of the tree, and even the oxygen it is releasing has a high amount of spirituality to it. Even a small sect can be established here who are looking for a good place. I was just curious about this matter. But it will have no help for us though.

Hamilton and others could only listen. But they couldn't do anything about it. Sensing subtle changes in a place is something a cultivator with the Spiritual Roots Cleansing Stage or above can do.

There are nine levels in the Spiritual Roots Cleansing Stage. That means a Cultivator has to find a total of nine ways to clean their Spiritual Roots. And when a Spiritual Roots Cleansing Stage expert can successfully clean their Spiritual Roots nine times, then that Cultivator can have the authenticity to enter the next major level.

But with each cleansing of their Spiritual Roots, their Soul Power will also increase which leads to an increase in their perception. Due to this enhancement in his perception, the elder from Dark Grimm Grotto could sense those changes in the forest which the Physique Strengthening Stage experts like Hamilton, Lyth and Coldstone couldn't perceive.

"That direction."

Suddenly the Elder from the Dark Grimm Grotto turned towards the northeast direction. Hamilton and the other two could see that their elder had sensed something which they couldn't as they knew their weak cultivation level forbids them from sensing those changes.

"Hamilton, take charge. I will go and investigate these changes."

The elder said as he didn't even turn his face from that direction.

"Sure."

Hamilton said without any objection.

The elder from Dark Grimm Grotto nodded his head and then left to investigate.

As for Hamilton and others, they turned towards the Assassin Evin Walker. As of now, his cultivation has dropped to the 9th Level of the Elementary Stage! His appearance was very horrible to behold.

Hamilton shook his head in disappointment. If it is possible, he wanted both these twin brothers as their allies. Only then, they could make full use of the Yin-Yang Union Physique. But the stubbornness of Evin Walker has completely spoiled his plans.

But just as he was thinking all this, Hamilton suddenly had an ominous feeling.
