SAYING GOODBYE

Adrianne felt a little weird that night. She wasn't sure why, but she felt a little sadness surrounding her heart. She was sitting on her bed, looking outside the window.

Roaming her eyes. The orange-gold stretches far and wide, the color of fire hearths and tangerines. With the setting sun came a sky of fire, the orange of every wintry hearth.

It was her last day, today. She wasn't sure what will happen once she steps into that world again. After her death, she hasn't had any news about what was happening in the kingdom.

She was actually surprised to learn that they already found a way to access this world. It was peculiar to her. But thinking of it, they found a way to kill her. It was now impossible for those fools to found new knowledge within those four hundred years.

"Abigail, sweetie, do you want to go outside? Do you want to roam around the park nearby?"

Hmm, Adrianne thought that it was not a bad decision after all. Taking a deep breath, she composed herself. Her lips quirked to form a smile.

With excitement lingering in her, "Sure, daddy!"

Mike slightly chuckled at his daughter's reaction. His heart warmed up in pain. Tomorrow… his daughter will leave. The only reason for him to live.

Mike and Adrianne went out of the house minutes after. Taking their time to walk on their way to the park. Adrianne roamed her eyes around the area they were passing by.

She was amazed at all the things she was seeing. Modern houses, technologies, and by far most people walking in the area. There are a lot of kids like her, running around.

Mike widely smiled as they entered the huge arc. Glancing over to his side. He watched Abigail with adoration. "What do you want to do the first sweetie?" asked him.

"Hmm, can we eat some Ice cream daddy? Oh, I want cotton candies too!"

"

The following day, the things that Abigail will bring to Quirenne were already ready. Aside from her clothes and some food, she also brought the new things that Mike had brought for her. She spent the whole night focused in front of her laptop to download some movies online. Her favorites and the one she wanted to watch.

She asked Mike to buy them. As well as some informational books that can increase her knowledge. When she was done with the selection, Mike used his credit card to buy the almost fifty books she wanted.

Because of that, Adrianne only had five hours of sleep. She woke up around eight o'clock in the morning in preparation to leave. Hours after and the men arrived at ten o'clock in a black car.

"Abigail." Mike wrapped around his arms to the body of Abigail. "You always have to be careful there. Promise Daddy that you will come back."

"Yes, Daddy. I promise." Abigail uttered in the air, smiling.

Only then did Mike let go of her after five minutes of them being in the same position. It was obvious that the man did not want to let her go.

"Daddy, you need to always drink your tea, okay? I picked that for you!" In a short time, Adrianne soaked the tea leaves they had bought with a special liquid she had made these past few days.

It was a lot actually. Having around 10 containers in total. With that amount, she was sure that Mike would recover while she was away. Adrianne wanted to find a new wife for Mike. But she didn't have a chance because of the short period of time she had.

The problem was if Mike would die while she was away. That's why Adrianne did it, he has to live his life.

Adrianne got in the car after a long farewell. She quickly noticed a girl crying next to her seat. The girl looks like she has the same age as her. Her chest-length hair was braided on both sides. The girl was wearing large spectacles on both of her eyes. She was wearing a very pink dress with a drawing of roses on the skirt.

"Abigail! Be careful! Go back to Daddy!" Mike waved his hands at the departing car.

Adrianne opened the window next to her. She smiled at the waving man. "You too, Daddy! I love you, Daddy! Take care! Bye-bye!"

"Abigail... "Mike couldn't stop the tears bawling out of his eyes, as he looked at the waving child. His body moved unconsciously, chasing the moving car. He shouted as he ran.

The car moved away as Adrianne closed the window. She put her newly bought earphone in her ears. Resting her back as she opened a book and started studying. Beside her was the child who was still crying.

But what Adrianne can't see was the man chasing the car from afar, shouting her name.
