FORTUNA ACADEMIA

A bus was waiting for them in an open free area where many black vehicles were also standing by. Children aged ten to fifteen were inside the car crying in fear. Adrianne saw a girl in another car, hugging a teddy bear as if it was the only thing that can keep her alive.

The boy beside her sat near the window while the girl on her left side stood up.

"W-Where would they take us?" frightened, the girl held on the armrest for support. The girl was still trembling because of what had happened earlier.

Adrianne did not answer the question. She looked outside and saw that there were already many buildings around. The structure of these was similar to Abigail's world.

She was no longer familiar with the place she was currently in. She knew this was the world of Intasia but she didn't know it had changed so much. It's only been 400 years and it changed already like this?

The bus, full of frightened children, started moving slowly. As time went on Adrianne became even more confused. None of the buildings she had passed through he remembers. Where are they? Is it still part of the former Kingdom of Quirenne?

They went out of the city and walked along the forest.

The two-hour drive passed quickly for Adrianne. She felt good being around. Her world is full of dark magical energy. The return of her power will surely increase at a much faster rate. She could not wait to grow strong again and teach a lesson to those foolish vampires.

The bus stopped in front of a high iron gate. Adrianne could not see the whole of the area, however, she took a brief glance out the window. Staring at the high and sturdy that was covering a huge academy.

The car started again when the giant gate opened, the car quickly made a turn and went inside. It took us quite a couple of minutes before the bus finally stopped.

A hint of yellow, purple, and blue float over the horizon, the green landscape that surrounds the field, and the short stream that illuminates the sky.

As they got out of the car the children were stunned and amazed at what they saw. They were in front of an old building. A castle was standing still in the middle. The majestic color of white and black with the sharp and pointy head of the top. The structure and its grace lie within the pride of the glistening fate. Its design was elegant just like what the tv shows in Abigail's world were portraying.

A woman in her forties wearing a black dress greeted them. The woman looks unpleased, probably because of how her eyebrows and eyes look like. Her pointed nose and curvy lips compliment the shape of her face well. Even though her features were like that, she had this aura of a motherly figure.

"Welcome, this is the Fortuna Academia. You will stay here temporarily until you all finish your studies."

Adrianne looked at the letters engraved on the very top of the building, Fortuna Academia, under the word was written the "Divine Protectors of Quirenne."

She chuckled, "Divine Protectors?" what an utter bullshit.

Adrianne slowly clenched her fist. Her face darkened in lightning speed. Out of all the buildings they had passed before in the bus, these were the only ones she would never forget. Because this school used to be her family's residence. It was once her home.

Because of their long journey, they were rested immediately. The man wearing a black suit gave them their keys to their future room. Not only did Adrianne's group arrived, but she had also estimated about a hundred children were brought here together with them.

Not far from the Academy, there was a red-colored building where their rooms were standing by. Adrianne was in a room with two other girls that has the same age as her.

"Hi, my name is Aella," the woman greeted the same time Adrianne arrived earlier. "What are your names?"

"I'm Mady," replied the girl with bangs and short hair. She was wearing a pure white dress. The girl was carrying a black bear stuff toy on her hands.

Adrianne arranged the furniture beside the bed and table, they all noticed that the design of the furniture was all black in color. She took the bed far to the right.

"You, what's your name?" The girl named Mady asked Adrianne.

"My name is Abigail, nice to meet you," Adrianne replied, accepting the right hand of Mady. She did what she had always practiced in front of the mirror when she was still in Mike's house.

Mady was obviously surprised, not expecting that Adrianne would accept her hand. Thank goodness that she could still do the kind act. She was getting tired with it. Already. But what can she possibly do?

Adrianne went straight to her bed and lay down. She took a deep breathe, staring at the ceiling. She wondered what will happen to them tomorrow.
