Adrianne was stunned to hear the two familiar names. Burning anger quickly welled up in her heart. The two traitors!
Olivia continued the narration of the past. The reason why the Academia was founded.
In other words, Academia was established because of an evil queen. Adrianne grinned when she heard the word, they used for describing her. It's no different from the story of the villainous queens that Abigail watches in the other world.
Yet Adrianne preferred to remain silent and listen. She wanted to know how she was written in the history of Quirenne.
According to the story, around four hundred years ago, there was a powerful vampire named Adrianne. Her beauty can be compared to flowers and the moon. But the woman's heart was as black as night.
After seducing the then Late King James, Adrianne poisoned and killed her own husband. King James had an only child with his ex-wife, and that was Princess Angelica.
Many died because of how Queen Adrianne ruled. Whoever resisted the woman's command will die due to a mysterious disease. That's the time they learned how dark her magic was.
Fear enveloped the whole kingdom. Soon the secrets the woman was keeping, came out. Angelica found out that the Queen was the one who killed her father. And with the help of the powerful vampires, in their kingdom, they punished Adrianne and put her to death.
But the woman left a curse before dying. And that was her return to their world again to take revenge. The kingdom's problem did not end because of the Queen's influence. Many of the citizens were mentally poisoned and chose to protest.
"Seriously, she's bad. She's really an evil Queen," whispered Mady next to her whose eyes were focused—full attention on the teacher explaining the history.
She noticed that other children who heard the story thought the same way.
"Hmp." Adrianne shook her head disappointed. The people of Quirenne really were fools. Naturally, there will be chaos by the time she dies. 'Fools, they seem to forget to use their brains well.'
She listened carefully to Olivia and picked up some important information. She processed it carefully in her mind and then made her own conclusion.
Her death back then had caused a division for the whole of Intasia. No one thought that it would cause the disintegration of the kingdom. When she disappeared, the law about the Vamphirs was abolished.
The rising Vamphirs were again demoted and were given heavier work. That may have caused the death of others.
And this has caused more Vamphirs to choose to rebel and leave. Their freedom was achieved with the help of a third group. These are the people who have faithfully served Adrianne in the past.
The third group consists of a group of brave and powerful Vampires that she personally trained in the past.
Because of that incident, there caused a bloody war. It lasted for several hundred years and up until this day, the war was still continuously going. The opponents of Quiran— the citizens of Quirenne, were called Driego and were later replaced by the word Driner.
The world of Intasia was now divided into three kingdoms. The largest kingdom made up of Vampires, the Kingdom of Quirenne. The second-largest kingdom composed of Driner was called the Kingdom of Leonore. And the smallest kingdom of Vamphirs, the Phira.
Out of the three kingdoms, the Kingdom of Phira was the most peaceful. Although they lacked magic and strength, they did not care about the war. Quirans could not harass them because they have the protection of the Driner's.
They live simply and happily.
Adrianne felt her eyes starting to get warm. Although the names were not mentioned, she knew who led the group of Driners. She was sure that those vampires were her closest servants back then.
She wanted to see them again. But years have passed since she died. Four hundred years... It's too late for them. Perhaps the next time she dies, she will see them again.
Adrianne has no interest in making friends with her classmates. But even so, she still managed to remember the names of some of them. That was because they were still together while going to the canteen.
Mady didn't leave her side. Even Aella who was obviously accustomed to being alone was forced to join them. It was said that it was better for the three of them to be together because one of them may suddenly disappear due to the humongous size of the palace.
Adrianne rolled her eyes. She will not be lost in her own household.
Because Mady was naturally friendly, she talked to the other children besides them. It was Sharon and Joseph. Joseph was two years older than them. He was wearing big glasses and was small in stature. Sharon, on the other hand, was ten years old just like them, with remarkably long and curly hair. Out of the five, she was the tallest.
Adrianne noticed that Mady had a plan to form an organization. It confuses her about why the people Mady was recruiting, was just weird? But if Abigail was here instead of her, then the two would surely get along.
When their group entered the canteen, the first thing they noticed was its bounty beauty. Long tables covered with white cloth scattered around were surrounded by wooden chairs with carved designs. Above it hangs a chandelier made of crystals, providing a beautiful glimmer of light into the spacious room.
The second thing they noticed was the heavy and cold look on them that was given by the older students. They were wearing white and black uniforms and were obviously longtime students in the Academia.
But Adrianne could smell around the approaching fight coming on their way. Her lips immediately quirked upwards.
