Chapter 23

Diana's P. O. V

Let me give you guys a quick rerun on what is going on right now in my life. Am Diana Netwood, new at Hall of Fame Academy, gym teacher's lap dog, history class rep and whatever.

I am also the pretend girlfriend of the school's football Captain and the pretend girlfriend of his best friend. My friend is a geek whose casted with the school's prettiest girl and the other the girlfriend of a footballer, Ace.

Now am currently in between two popular siblings fighting over a pretend relationship. Can I end this? Yes I can. Should I end this? I probably should. Am I going to end it? That...am not so sure about.

Sure there are the downsides, but I just can't seem to tell the truth. I have people counting on me to put up this lie and I feel giddy and get goosebumps once I contemplate what to say.

"I have to go"I said and turned to leave, "Some other boy may be in need of a good fuck anyways."Makela said loud enough to be heard. I was sick of this and walked out on both of them.

I really need some time to myself right now away from all this. Ugh! I hate my life so fucking much.

Michael's P. O. V

"It's dinner time"A maid said as she walked into my bedroom, her hands behind her. "Bring it upstairs"I said and took my phone out, "Mia has asked you to come downstairs"The maid said. I groaned, "fine"I said and dismissed her.

Don't get me wrong, Mia is a bit of a handful but I figured I let her have her way with me once in a while.

I stroll downstairs, the image of Makela and Diana arguing replaying on my mind. I just don't get why they can't be friends.

Sub consciousness: She's screwing your sister's crush you jackass.

Me: We don't know that. It could be a misunderstanding.

Sub: Fuck this! You need to grow some balls Mike! She's two timing you two.

Me: Not this again, Pablo is her boyfriend, am only helping them pretend.

"Mike you're here"Mia said snapping me out of my thoughts. She sat beside Makela smiling broadly at me while I walked towards the table. Why did she remind me so much of somebody? I sat as far away from Makela as possible, not wanting to face her.

"How was school?"Mia asked, I stared at Makela to see if she would respond but she didn't. I used my fork to play with my food, not in the mood to eat.

"My day was fine anyways, I hear that you have a big game on Friday"Mia said. How did she know?

"All the emails your coach sends to your father go through me first"she said answering my thoughts.

Did that mean she knew I was benched? Has she told my dad? I don't think so, she might have kept it from him. But why would she even do that?

"Yeah."I managed to say nonchalantly, "I also hear you're the team captain."she said pouring herself a glass of juice. We had juice?

"It's no big deal"I murmured and took a bite of my dinner. "What about you Makela? Any sports?"Mia interrogated, "I play volleyball"she said, "but Sam's our captain"she added.

"Oh, I thought that with a body like yours you'd be on the cheer squad or something. You know like In all those movies"Mia chipped in.

"Aren't they usually the mean girls?"Makela asked, "well....sometimes, other times they're the nice ones who make a huge difference in the world"Mia said.

"Name one teen movie where the cheerleaders are the good guys?"I asked joining in the conversation.

"Name one movie the jock isn't always handsome and gets the girl?"Mia asked avoiding my question. I grinned at that.

"I think teen movies are overrated anyways, am more of a horror movie fanatic"Mia said.

"No kidding, I love horror films"Makela said. This was priceless. "You? Horror movies? I think a blind kitten could last longer than you watching a horror movie"I sharply said. Her face reddened. Mia smirked.

"I can too last longer! I watched a lot of scary movies"she defended not backing down. "I hate the video of you trying to watch HUSH"I said determined to catch her in her lies. Just because Mia is new doesn't mean she can deceive her.

"It...I was having an allergic reaction"she said and drank some of the juice Mia was having. "To what? The screen?"I asked, "maybe"she sheepishly said, "just like when you claimed you'd get cloud burn if you leave the house for your girl scouts camp out"I teased. I vowed to never let her forget all about that time of her life no matter how hard she tried.

"You said you'd never speak of it again"Makela said with a flush of embarrassment all over her face.

"What's this? Cloud burn?"Mia asked seeming a bit left out, but a little amused by the tale. I grinned evily and winked at my sister.

"Yeah, Makela was a nerdy indoor kid, she hid in her closet the night before her camp out"I started.  "Shut up!"She said, trying to overshadow my voice. "I remember three maids pulling you down the stairs, she held unto the railings shouting she'd get cloud burn"I said surpressing my laughter. Mia covered her mouth with her hand.

"Don't be a douchebag"she said trying to end the story.

"Why? You remember when you insisted you were a vampire. You swore that you were the secret child of Bella and Edward"I said and she got up and covered my mouth.

"That's enough. Mia did I ever tell you about the wonder boy pants? I know you'd love to hear all about it"Makela said. Once I heard her make reference to that I struggled with her, she was laughing like a little witch.

"Do tell"Mia said in between laughs, I couldn't go down like this, not without a good fight.

"He did some online shopping for a Halloween party when he was nine"she began and I licked her palm out of instincts.

"Ew...gross Mike!"she said and pulled her hand away from me. She rubbed her palm against her shirt in disgust, glaring at me, I smirked at her in victory.

"That's enough you two! Finish your dinner before it gets cold"Mia lovingly said to us both, but we didn't break our concentration. "Do it and I'll share an embarrassing story"She said trying to coax us and it worked like a charm. I took a spoonful of dinner and blinked sheepishly at her, Makela shoved food down her throat and sat down all innocently.

After observing how cooperative we were, Mia took a huge breath and cleared her throat.

"I signed up for a short commercial actress some years back. I needed the extra pay and it wouldn't have hurt anyways to audition"Mia said.

"So? What happened next?"I asked, "can it troll!"Makela said, "over"I said and snorted at her.

"Shhhh!"Mia said hushing us both, shifting our attention back to the story.

"I got the role, and I was excited. So excited I bought a few stuff like hair products, cosmetics and a new outfit. It was a detergent commercial."she said, then passed me some more food. Healthy food.

"And?"Makela asked, "and I put on a face mask washed my hair with the fancy hair shampoo and went to bed."

"Sounds perfectly normal to me"I budded in, "I agree what's embarrassing about that?" Makela said in agreement.

"It would have been perfectly normal if I hadn't bought hair dye instead of conditioner"Mia said and flushed from embarrassment.

"Excuse me what?"I asked, my eyes almost bulging out of the socket. "Oh my word are you for reals?"Makela asked sharing in my shock.

"Yes, purple dye to be exact. I spent the entire morning moving from saloons to saloons trying to undo what I did. I swear I was embarrassed"Mia said.

"I am sure the directors were amazed"Makela said.

"They were surprised I even showed up, I didn't think I would but my daughter convinced me to go. And they were all short of words."She said still smiling broadly we all were that's when it hit me.

Mia has a daughter! I wonder why have I never heard about her before now?
